“It is with great regret and sorrow that I share news of our beloved Chairman, Shunsaku Tamiya. He passed away on 7/18/25 at the age of 90. We can’t express enough how much it saddens us to have lost our inspirational leader. At Tamiya America, it always gave us immense pleasure to have our chairman come visit us in the USA and in turn us going to see him in Japan at Tamiya hobby events he was deeply involved with. Mr. S. Tamiya always made sure to let his global staff know how much he appreciated everyone’s efforts in being staunch advocates for the company he’s led since being appointed President in 1977.”
