Good news for Paizo: Diamond Reaches Settlement to Return Publishers’ Inventory

The publishers’ inventory has been in limbo since Diamond declared bankruptcy back in January 2025. A few months later, Diamond was officially acquired by Ad Populum, whose subsidiary Sparkle Pop has been handling the warehouse containing the inventory, which includes comics, graphic novels, individual issues, and other merchandise.

Diamond initially attempted to sell off said inventory in order to pay some of the company’s legal debts last June, but that was challenged by publishers like Fantagraphics, whose founder Gary Groth described the move as “an act of piracy.” Some publishers feared that Sparkle Pop would sell the books at fire-sale prices and flood the market with devalued products.
