Diamond Fiasco Ends Up Costing Jobs At Paizo

“Over the last year, Paizo has been navigating one of the most challenging periods in our company’s history. I want to speak to you directly about what happened, how it has affected us, and the steps we’re taking to protect the future of Pathfinder and Starfinder.“

The Bad:

• Layoffs. (20 business days, but they are working with the Paizo Union it seems/people can volunteer to leave.)
• Less organized play. (Too much cost.)
  • No Free PDF’s for general volunteers of events.
  • Less Foundry Support of Organized Play Scenarios.
• Paizo because of the Diamond publishing fiasco was somewhat locked in making new deals/partnerships. Sounds absolutely awful.

The Not So Bad:

• New partnership with Independent Publishers Group.
• New Paizo Store has been performing better than the old store.
