00:00:01 on. >> Sorry, I forgot to do that. >> This spot the the hollow the the hollow >> the hollow >> surrounded by the stone wall. Did it cont do Did we notice that spot the similar in the similar location but in the floor below? Is the floor below? >> We don't where >> we don't know. We'd have to go back down and check it. >> Okay. Okay. >> I was going to say, do do the chimneys line up with the chimneys below? >> I would assume they do. Most of the time 00:00:35 they do. >> Well, that's another another chimney spot. >> But I would I would say let's go check the staircase that's down in this room down here. >> The one the one that was hidden >> that goes up to the attic. >> Yeah. And what what is that area there? Balcony. That's just a little back balcony room. Yeah, >> little balcony. Okay. >> Yeah, there was a there was another one that sort of connected off of the uh >> It was off It was over the nanny's room. 00:01:07 Yeah. >> Yeah, it was back over here. >> Okay. >> Okay. So, we we're going to go to the stairs, the hidden stairwell. We're going to go up there. I think that would be the best way to is just to go down and go into that. >> Okay. >> Uh >> when's the last time we played? A month ago? >> Yeah. >> Yeah, it's been a month. >> Well, I'm not too smart. I've been waiting a long time. Does that make me a dumb waiter, too? >> Kind of. 00:01:41 >> You've been waiting that long with no clue? Yes. >> But I I kind of lost track of where we're at, too. So, >> we are on the third floor. >> Yeah, third floor. You think from the the look outside that the upper floor, the fourth floor is the attic area. >> I don't even I don't even know our objective. That's how dumb I am. >> What was What is your thing, John? I'm sorry. I didn't hear that. >> What's our objective? >> Uh, we're exploring. 00:02:09 >> Oh, >> we we were told we shouldn't come here. >> Okay, that's good enough. less less told us that >> and being and being first graders, you know, we don't listen. >> Well, yeah. So, you guys I mean, just to go back a bit, you guys you guys have found yourself in the land of Bovia. Uh, initially in the village of Bovia, which uh um, you know, was aptly named, but you were guys, so you guys were basically they're like the guy who found you out in the woods was like, why did 00:02:36 you come back? Uh, and you're like, we're new here, you know, kind of thing. But they had known previously, you guys remember because you guys were attacked by werewolves in the in the >> thing because you had come here at the behest of the merchant prince Mousse who and it turns out he had brought >> so it turns out that he had at least representatives of him had been here before. Uh and he's like I found this place you know cuz the way basically was told you was like we're going to exploit 00:03:02 it. Uh it's a brand new plane. Nobody's ever been there before. None of the none of the people that I've you know I've talked to have heard of this place. So you know it might be at one of the 66 666 layers of the abyss or it might be a completely new plane. We don't know. But he's like um what he didn't tell you was that his primary method of exploiting it was he had learned in previous trip well now now you guys know he had learned in previous trips that silver is banned 00:03:31 here. They don't have a lot of it. uh and it's it's banned. Any silver that they do find or acquire is taken by the count uh who is the ruler uh area uh you know the ruler of this Count Strod who is the ruler of this region >> and well it turns out that the crates in the back of the wagon that you guys came with were filled with silver. So the idea was at least you suspect that Mus Muse's idea was to bring silver to a place that doesn't have silver. Unbeknownst to him, the plan was susted 00:04:02 by somehow. Uh, and you guys were immediately set upon by a pack of werewolves the moment you guys >> Yeah. >> materialized in Bovia. Um, you guys survived, but the silver was gone. The mage who was supposed to get you back was killed and torn apart by werewolves. And, uh, a guy, you know, a woodsman from Bovia basically is like, "Why did you guys come back here?" They they they they knew that people from somewhere else had been here. Well, they hustled you into Bovia. They got you in the 00:04:32 church. They hid you out overnight to keep the counts men from finding out about you. Uh because otherwise they suspect you suspected that they would have taken you prisoner in some way. Uh and they put you in essentially a sealed wagon and drove you all night or all day. Uh they because it was during the day to this the town of Vaki where's where you are now. How you guys got on to death house? I think it was >> uh we went and talked to the madam. Yeah, Madame Eva. And she she ran the 00:05:02 Teroka for you. Yeah. And gave you a bunch of information about So apparently and the fact that you guys >> have talked to this this Cirrus uh and she's like saying, you know, you have a greater destiny to fulfill here. Um, and that's why you guys are now sort of investigating this this death house place because Oh, because this was a place where they said the the people that you talked to, the rumor had it was that this is where the count's men, what did you call them? The Renfields. 00:05:35 >> Glenn came up with the Renfields. The Renfields would meet. This is where if they um, so it's like the count's secret police, right? So they would they would they would grab up people, they would kidnap them, they would interrogate them, but this was a place that they would this was the place they would bring them in Aki. And so you guys are sort of investigating this now. You haven't run in at any Renfields yet, but you have on a couple of occasions gone out the looked out the window or going 00:05:59 at least not very long ago, you guys were out on the balcony and you guys could see hooded figures like sort of at the end of the street >> watching you guys. So, whoever those guys are, they they you got a pretty good idea that they know you're in here. >> H >> And maybe maybe they're staging an ambush. >> Maybe they're waiting to see what plays out because they know what's in this house and you don't, >> right? >> Uh and waiting to see what happens. Uh 00:06:29 but they haven't approached any closer than the than the than the street. They seem to be staying back away. They certainly haven't like come rushing up and and into the house. They're they're hanging back, but you don't know why. >> What What is this X denoting? >> That was the mirror. >> That was the mirror. >> You broke the mirror that seemed to be holding the ghost of the nanny. >> Gotcha. >> And And did we did we determine then when we broke the mirror that she was 00:06:58 freed or we just don't know? >> You just don't know. >> Okay. She hasn't m she hasn't materialized again since you broke broke the mirror though. >> Well, we also took the wood frame and threw it out the >> And did we off the balcony? >> And we got the bones, right? >> Bones. >> Bones of something or no >> bones? I remember some bones. >> Don't remember bones. >> Okay. >> I don't have any blood >> in the bed. Go ahead. 00:07:25 >> Oh, that's on the that's on the fourth floor. We haven't got or the attic. We haven't gotten there yet. >> Oh, yeah. That's the kid's bones. >> Oh, the kid. Yeah, bones of blood. >> Oh, we've seen the bones. Okay. >> Yeah, the monkey. The glass monkey. Iggy's glass monkey saw them. >> Okay. Okay. Cuz I remember something about bones. Okay. So, so yeah, let's let's make the the stairs then. >> All right. So, you guys are going to 00:07:49 clamber through that that little uh you're going to push push the armoire out of the way exposing the >> Yeah, it was pushed out of the way and >> you had left it pushed out. Okay. So, yeah. So, yeah, the stairs. So, it's it's so it's a little weird. The sta the doorway kind of opens up onto the stairs itself. There's like a little You can kind of see it. It's like right here. >> There's like a little um what's the word I'm looking for? A flat 00:08:16 part of the stairs. >> A landing. >> Landing. That's it. So, there's like a little landing. That's the lowest part, but the door is like right here. So, it's it's kind of like it does. The door doesn't go onto the landing. It goes onto the stairs itself and you have to kind of clamber in. Um, it's definitely >> Now, did you guys check here to see if there was >> No, we haven't checked any of it yet. I was going to send you to check that. That's strange to have a landing there. 00:08:43 >> That brave cleric ran in there. So we >> So and as you So as you look to the west up the stairs, you see that the stairs go up and then turn and go and it looks like there's another little landing there and then go back eastward. >> I think we'll have our our our dog slicer carrier uh check >> the the area here to see if there the stairs do go down. >> Well, I've got the I've Oh, are we waiting to send the road first? Yes, that's what we're 00:09:14 >> That's the dog slicer. Okay. >> Okay. >> All right. Um I'm gonna search the area for gonna draw her weapon just in case though. >> Two hands. Two hands. >> If you stay ready, you don't have to get ready. >> Yeah. >> No. Um it's a per perception check. >> Are you looking for like secret doors in the on the on the lower landing? >> Yes, sir. >> Okay. Go ahead. Abs. Yeah. Perception check. >> Perceive. All right. How do I perceive 00:09:41 point when you get What do you mean? >> I can't see my token. I can't I see my name plate and my hit points and stuff, but I can't see my token. I can't grab him. >> We see your token. I see it, but yeah, it may not be assigned to him. >> Can you Well, let me let me look and make sure everything's okay. There it is assigned to you. It says it's controlled by character settings. >> Is it like stuck in the wall? I had a hard time getting through the wall. 00:10:11 Who's this settings? >> Yeah, it should be. >> I see you. >> I can move you around. >> Somebody moved him. >> Oh, that's Xandarius. You're moving Xanderas. I >> Sorry about that. >> I made Xandarius uh movable by everybody so that his light could shine onto the map. >> Um, you can't move your guy. >> I can't even see him. >> Somebody just here. >> I moved him. Oh, >> so I could I could So, it's weird. Le 00:10:43 I'll take a picture if you want, but I could see the two >> bars on the two and the name plate below, but there's no icon. >> So weird. Could you try refreshing your browser >> or did that unless I was going to suggest take him off and bring him back and see if that helps. >> Yeah, why don't I do that? I'll do that. >> I'll just uh chuck him over here. Delete him. >> And you've got Iggy up there in the corner if you wanted to pull him out, 00:11:07 too. >> Of course. Come on the eo a three-y old plane then I don't have to get hurt. So >> yeah, but you can't interact either. >> What would Walsh do now? I >> see he would summon a type three demon and we'd all >> I see I see his um token, but he doesn't have any bars on it now. >> Yeah, his hit points aren't filled in. So what is your >> depends on where you from? >> I see the bars. I don't see anything else. >> So we I just deleted that guy and now we 00:11:38 see your token but no bars. I don't know what you're seeing, dude. >> Should I drag him out? >> Yeah, try to I'll delete what I have. >> Oh, all right. >> I see Tom Bowman's character moved again. >> Yeah. Well, I couldn't see that that guy, so that's why. >> All right. Now, I see you in the main room there. Right there, >> but I got zeros for everything. It's not tied to my character sheet. >> You know what I'm saying? 00:12:04 >> Maybe you got to pull Maybe you got to reboot your uh roll 20. All right, I'll try that again. >> Uh, I don't know why it's doing that. Um, >> this happened like our second session last time >> and I just like dealt with it the whole time. >> Well, how many hit point? Well, hold on. Let me check your character sheet. >> I got like 400 hit points, something like that. >> I think John's guy's 20th level. We're just >> That's a tough first character. 00:12:37 Why is it not? Uh, it's probably stupid demilane is acting up. Uh, if if I'm unless I miss my guess. So, let's let's try this. >> All right. I'm going try again. >> All right. Are you logged into demilane? >> I am not. >> Should I be? >> Yeah. I thought I was I thought I was doing roll 20. No. >> Yeah. Well, both. You need both. >> You need both. >> Wait. >> I just I just pull up roll 20 and then something comes up about demil and I 00:13:18 just let it dismiss. >> So, I've never gone to demilane. >> So, I'm open in demilane, but it says you have to log in because I can't see your character sheet either. >> Hold on. I I'm doing demiplane now. >> Okay. >> I'm uh I'm growing uh I'm growing less fond of demilane. >> I'm not >> I don't even know what demilane is. >> Well, it's a it's it's a it's a thing that you can connect if you make for 00:13:50 making characters for Pathfinder second edition. >> Oh. Uh, so but it's a tool and you can connect it to Roll 20 and supposedly you make your character there and it imports it here and it does and it does work but not greatly. >> Yeah, >> it sort of works. >> Okay, keep going. I'll I'll track until it's time to do something. >> All right, so uh Akurawa, you rolled a 15. >> Just have less move your character around. >> Yes, sir. >> Yes, sir. 00:14:17 >> Yeah, I can do that for right now. Uh, all right. So, uh, rolled a 15. So yeah, you look around there and you, you know, you see, uh, the rest of you kind of see a Kudagawa sort of like checking the walls, looking for cracks, you know, tapping, you know, with his dog slicer on the walls. Um, the only So you don't find you don't find any secret doors or passages or anything like that. Uh, the northern and eastern walls sound solid, uh, not hollow. When you tap on the wall to the south, you get a more hollow 00:14:50 sound, but you know that there is a room on the other side of that. Uh >> I'll tap back to scare him. >> Uh but yeah, so the north and eastern walls seem solid. They do not seem hollow behind behind it. But yeah, you don't find any secret doors at all. >> Okay. >> And are there any is there dust? Are there tracks? Can we tell like is this >> There's a fair amount of dust and no tracks that you could see. There's no It doesn't look like anybody's disturbed 00:15:21 the dust. >> Um John, try moving your character now because your name just popped up at the bottom of the screen with everybody else's. >> I I can't see anything. I don't I don't I see Xander. >> It's moving. >> I just moved it. I'll stop. >> Oh, you moved it. Okay. >> I just don't see my character. That's weird. >> And there's nothing you can do about it. >> Well, I wonder I wonder it. >> Okay. So, I see my name plate. I see my 00:15:49 name plate right here. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. >> But there's no >> I just see Velcro CC. That's it. >> But there's no token >> token there. Yeah. >> There's no there's not even any bars anymore either. >> I wonder I wonder if when we go up to the next level when you pull us all up there, maybe it'll kick it in. >> Oh, yeah. Up now. That's cool. >> You level up now. >> Uh maybe. I don't know. I don't know why 00:16:17 it's doing this. I wish I could be more helpful, but uh >> I'm not going to delay the party. So, just I'll keep working on my end. >> Okay. Uh yeah. So, Kudawi, you you don't find any secret doors or anything. Um it's very strange in that, you know, the the the you do know, you guys do notice something. So the little door that was behind the um behind the bureau definitely looks aftermarket for lack of a better term, right? So that little door was was uh created later 00:16:48 uh and not not expertly, >> I guess, for lack of a better term. Um >> so yeah, it was uh whoever whoever put that in there, they weren't in the door making business. Um, you know, the angles are off, that kind of thing. I don't know. >> John, can you move Failen? >> Yep. And and Zanderius, too. >> Okay. You move everybody but but you I'm gonna keep [ __ ] with you guys till you fix this. >> Well, maybe maybe use Failen as your your token spot. >> Yeah, he took it out already. 00:17:23 >> Maybe I'm the DM. >> All right. >> I guarantee you you're not the DM. Uh, let me Why is this doing this? >> I was going to say if you can move Failen, move that around as as your token. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. Let me put Failen back for you. And if you want to use Failen as a default, I'll just move you to where Failen is. And that way it'll be that way you can uh do that until we get this sorted out. Is she back? >> Yeah, she's back. >> I'm gonna roll for initiative just to 00:17:53 see if it works. >> Okay. Oh, >> well, he can't click on his character, so he may not be able to roll initiative. >> I'll be right. >> I got my character sheet. Do you guys see anything? >> No. >> No. >> So, I got Debbie playing up on one. All right, never mind. [ __ ] it. >> I think you need to get rid of Debbie plane and put your character into a other a different >> regular sheet. No, I never used I never used demand other than roll up a 00:18:27 character and then import them into roll 20. That's all I did. I've never used plan for for action. >> That's what I mean. You should get a roll 20 sheet and use it. >> I think you did. >> I did. >> Yeah, I think he did. >> I do roll 20. I've been doing roll 20 for like six years on other campaigns. I get it. But like I'm so confused. All right, keep going. >> Wait a second. Um, >> well, maybe that's it. John, you've not given World 20 an anniversary card. And 00:18:57 that's upset. >> Could be. Tell you what, I'm going to I'm going to reboot my computer. You guys keep going. >> Okay. I'm trying to get this thing to to Let me see. What are the >> That's just curious. >> Yeah, it's not it's not >> So, Les, what are the sheets that we currently have? Well, you guys are in demilane, too, I think. >> No, I'm in roll 20. Iggy Iggies that uses demilane. So, your sheets are the onboard Pathfinder second edition. The 00:19:27 roll 20 sheets, correct? >> Okay. Well, I think that's what you need to get him to load into. >> Yeah, I probably should. So, what I'll do is I don't Here's the thing. I don't have access to any of his stats. >> Oh, >> so >> I think he said 18 all of them. >> No, no, no. That wasn't That's not true. He had a 19 and something. All right. I'm going to build a um >> snowman. >> Oh. >> Oh, >> and we put and we can call him Parson 00:19:57 Brown. >> All right. I started a character for Velcro. >> Maybe he can transfer his information over. >> Yeah. >> Yeah, that's what I'm thinking. If he's got access to that information. So, um So, I I just made him a quick sheet. Actually, Tom, I was thinking Frozen, not not Frosty. So >> Oh, well, I've never seen Frozen, so I can't access that. >> What? Like the TV show? The movie? >> No, the the kids uh >> cartoon >> animation Frozen, you know. I've never 00:20:30 I've never I've never seen it. So, >> yeah, I don't think I've ever I had I had boy children. >> Oh, god damn. >> Sorry. >> Now, what's even worse is Jim has no children that I'm aware of. So why does he know it? >> He But blacksmiths all love Frozen. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. Well, they're all they're all just praying because it's 140 in the forge, >> right? They're thinking cold thoughts. All right. >> All right. So, yeah. So, you um uh uh so 00:20:57 yeah, Kagawa, who's not here, does not find anything. Xanderas, as you begin creeping up the steps, uh Kugilda, you do not see any. There's a lot of dust in here. >> Okay. But it looks like somebody sealed this up. >> Okay. >> Purposely. Um >> any feeling like how long? Like do we have a sense of like oh there's this much dust? So like are we thinking sealed it up like when the fan or >> marks besides our own? >> He said no boot marks. >> No boot marks. Uh the dust levels are 00:21:33 comparable to dust levels in other rooms that you've gone into. >> Okay. >> So 15 years Oh, I mean right now Yeah. The Dursts disappeared, >> right? >> Approximately 15 years ago according to local legend. >> Okay. >> Well, they not according to local legend. They actually went away. So >> yeah, >> that undead maid was not doing her job. >> Yeah, apparently not. So wait, is this is the way going up? The way that I'm >> to the left is going up now. Go. It goes 00:22:03 up. >> Oh, to where to where >> where Zanderas is? >> Z is. Yeah. Is the upper part. >> Oh, okay. >> So, is there still room to get another person in this space or do we need to >> It's pretty tight. This way is is uh this direction is um up, but it also kind of like So, it goes up and then it comes back this way. So, it's like you go up down here, but you can you can tell that there are more stairs above you going further up. Yeah, it's like a scissor. 00:22:31 >> Yeah. >> Okay. Well, I'll I'll continue up. >> Yeah, I'm I'm right there with him. >> I I'll move into the space and then follow after him. >> Okay. >> All right, Zandarius, I'm going to move I'm going to move you to Gilda. >> Okay. Uh, so you guys turn the corner and begin going up the the other slice of the scissor, right? >> Uh, I'm doing this with my hands like it makes like it makes any sense at all. >> I don't see myself. 00:23:00 >> Yeah, like that. >> Okay. >> Uh, you're over here now. >> Oh, wait. We're in a different part of the map. >> So, you guys are And you see that it goes up to there's another little landing right like here. >> Okay. >> Uh, and then it goes and then it turns left >> and then just a few short stairs to another landing. Is that a door in front of me? >> There is. Yeah. As you climb these stairs, uh, it sounds like you can hear rain. Uh, it could be that you're 00:23:29 approaching the roof because you can, you sound like you could hear rain falling outside. >> Was there a tower on the roof? >> No, not to a big attic. >> Hold on. >> Was it raining? >> It looked like >> Well, it's like London. It always rains here. >> Okay. It wasn't raining when you came in. Yeah. So, it didn't It didn't There's no tower. >> Okay. >> That's That's what it looked like from outside on the street. >> Oh, 00:23:55 >> yeah. So, it's got the big window there and there's a dormer to the left. >> See that? See that? It looks like a railing up there. >> Yeah. That could be a widow's walk. >> I wonder if that's like a Yeah, widow's walk or something there. And and we are not feeling like a temperature change or uh dance or anything like that. Okay. >> No, nothing like that. So far, it's been it's been okay. I mean, you did feel those temperatures when the ghosts down 00:24:24 when you encountered the ghost downstairs, you definitely felt temperature changes. >> Yeah. Yeah. >> Um but not so far. At least not in this stairway. >> Okay. I want to inspect the door before we open it. You I was going to say you might have the um rogue come up and check it. >> So So it's tell them it's uh Well, I guess it's safe cuz you know I don't know. I mean it seems safe. >> It seems safe. Says says the dwarfish woman with a sword in her hand. Sword or 00:24:59 axe? >> No sword. sword, so you can swing it two-handed, >> but also for some reason if you could only use one hand. >> You could only You can just use one. >> Is it a normal door? Does it have a latch on it? Any >> It looks like a normal internal door. It's wood and it does have a It does have a latch on it. The most interesting component though is the rather ornate lock. Oh, >> and the most interesting part about that is that the lock is on this side of the 00:25:30 door. >> It's to lock in. >> It's to Yeah, it looks like it is to lock the attic. >> Okay. >> It would lock it would effectively lock something in the attic. >> Um, >> I will I will get my shield ready, but I will reach down with my weapon hand and see if the door is locked. Who >> Who's this? >> That's the That's new Velcro. He hasn't he hasn't updated his >> Yeah, he hasn't updated his uh his token yet. >> I was just worried. 00:26:00 >> Yeah. Well, I got my hands. >> Yeah, it does kind of look like a shadow. >> Surprise. I'm the I'm evil now. >> Um Yeah. Okay. So, you're going to uh uh you're going to check the lock. >> I'm going to see if the door is unlocked. >> Uh it is not. It is locked. >> It is locked. >> Okay. Auda is going to come up and >> Yep. I will make room for Audawa. Okay. >> With his roguy qualities. >> Gotcha. Okay. >> Yeah. Uh, give me a quick perception 00:26:31 check, Tom. >> Okie dokie. Just got to find it. Perception. Perception. Oh, right there. >> Uh, >> 25. >> 25. All right. So, yeah. So, you're listening uh at the door and uh you could definitely hear that it has begun raining outside. Uh although it's not like a huge storm. It's you can hear but you could hear rain like hitting it sounds like it's hitting the roof. So, you suspect that this is the attic or the the fourth floor. Um beyond that, uh you don't hear anything at all. I mean, 00:27:11 other than the rain. There's no sounds. There's no obvious um you know, like voices in the background going, "Okay, but then come in. Let's get them." You know, nothing like that. >> Right. Right. Um I see Velcro is back. >> Uh John's back. Yeah, >> John is. Yeah. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. Still pressing >> Johnny. Johnny Johnny made you a new token. >> He's using it, I think. >> Yeah. I I drove it out there. >> Okay. Okay. 00:27:36 >> But if you want, you can edit that thing and put your put your token. You got your token image with you. >> Uh yeah. Let me see if I can my hard drive. >> Yeah. >> Yes. I don't know how to >> just drag it. What? I don't know how to do that. >> Let me see what I can do. Did you? You gave me a different one. I don't know that I have your token image because I think you built this one yourself. Can you Can you add that into your thing so it doesn't look like a 00:28:11 ghost is following these guys? No, I mean I this whole thing is kind of confusing. >> Less I thought you initially AIed his >> Oh, wait a minute. All a sudden my character sheet popped up. >> Okay, that's good. >> Yep. >> What's going on? Are the Russians attacking? >> Not yet. >> Um, are you in St. Louis? >> Yes, I'm in San Louie. Okay. Then then they're attacking west of the Mississippi. >> They don't need attack on Illinois. 00:28:47 We're already screwed up. So, uh, >> yeah, I found it. I'm uploading now. >> All right. If you want to send it to me, I'll pop it in there for you. >> No, I >> You can do it. >> I think so. >> Okay, cool. I will stay out of the way. Cool. Uh, Eric, you're back. Um, they need you to un Nope, no worries. We get it. Uh we uh they need you to unlock a door. So while you're gone, they were basically looking at the door at the top of the at the top of the steps. 00:29:16 >> Sorry about that. >> And the door at the top of the steps has a very ornate lock >> on this side of the of the door. >> Uh meaning it locks anybody inside the attic in. >> Oh, I see. Well, >> a disappointment room. >> A disappointment room. >> We can fix this. >> I'm out. We you're down here. Um what uh less uh should I do a thievery roll >> or a what role should I use to pick that lock here? >> I think it's thievery. 00:29:53 >> Thiever. No. Oh, it would be >> uh it would be um [ __ ] Uh >> or is it a crap? >> Yeah. Yeah, it would be uh I can never remember. Is it um I think it's Hold on. Slide of hand, I think. Oh, because he has he has thievery >> there. Yeah, he >> survival stealth. >> Oh, thievery. Yeah, it would be thievery skill if that's a skill. >> Yeah, it's a skill. >> Okay, >> so >> sorry, I was looking >> Pathfinder one. Hold on. 00:30:21 >> I will stand by. >> Yeah, thievery skill. Use that. >> You can move your guy up there, too, Eric. >> I'm sorry. >> You can move your guy up there. >> Uh, I'm not Oh, this door here. Thank you very much. I got you now. Um, I'm sorry. Sorry, I had to step away for a second. Now, I am going to ah a door with a lock on it. Uh, ornate lock to lock us in. Well, we can't have that. I will use my I will pull out my my little kit here. I'm going to do this with a 00:30:52 13. >> Not my best. >> 13. All right. So you you begin fiddling with that lock, but before you could be so it's not a fail because you are uh something happens before you get a chance to get the lock fully picked. >> Uh as you're picking that lock, you feel what feels like a hard just absolutely bone breaking slam into your chest. The force of it knocks the wind out of you. >> Wow. >> Uh and you're like, "You guys, you guys hear him? I need you to make a uh an e 00:31:27 uh a second. Uh I need uh do you guys have athletics? >> Uh yes. >> And acrobatics >> and acrobatics. >> Okay. I need an I need from you. I need either an athletics or acrobatic skill. Whichever is better. I need you to roll a a skill safe. Yeah. >> For me? >> Yes. You got You just got hit by some force. as you were fiddling with the thing. >> I would say that's probably not a good one. >> Oh, acrobatics. All right. So, you you guys So, uh, Gruggilda and Xanderas as 00:32:03 he's working on there, you hear Akudagawa goof and you see him roll backwards down the stairs. >> Oh, man. I'll I'll put out my foot and stop him from going all the way down. >> All right. Uh, you're gonna try and stop him. He slams into your foot and it pulls you. It's like something just like clocked him as hard as it could, but you do manage to stop him. Uh, you take a little damage as he clunks off of the stairs real hard and you take five points of damage. Cuts himself on 00:32:34 one of the on one of the wood planks uh on his arm as he's rolling down. >> I'll reach down and pick him up and say I've never seen such a poorly picked lock before. >> Can we think it's the beast? He He didn't check it for traps, >> you guys. It didn't It didn't come through. As far as you could tell, Auda, when they asked you what happened, you're like, "Something punched me in the chest hard." Uh, and it knocked you backwards, you know, and you but you 00:33:03 never saw anything and it didn't come through the door or anything like that. It's just some sort of like disembodied force that just went bam and hit you hard as it could. I mean, it hit you hard. >> Okay. Um, >> have to roll his little goblin body backwards. Um, that really hurt and I don't want that to h happen again. I think there's somebody at the door. We don't see him. He pushed me back real hard. Um, I think there I think there's somebody or something there. 00:33:36 >> Um, you did. >> I got a feeling it's magic or um >> could it been Could it have been trapped? >> That's what I said. >> Let me go check for traps again. Okay. >> Okay. >> I'll go check my traps >> on the door itself. >> Yes, sir. Um everywhere. The lock, the door, the ceiling, my butts, whatever. Traps anywhere. >> All right. >> That really hurt. Um >> I'm up behind him this time so he doesn't get knocked down. 00:34:04 >> Gotcha. Thank you. Thank you. You know, it it's difficult. I'm I'm a little guy. I'm a goblin, you know. I just got knocked across the room. I I have no idea what happened. Uh, >> are you small enough to physically fit through the line? >> Um, so less >> he's not. >> What? Um, what should this neurotic uptight go and roll to uh check for traps? >> Uh, perception check. >> Yes, sir. And oh >> 17. Yeah, you don't see any traps. And 00:34:33 frankly, you don't see any traps on the lock itself. Um, you're not sure what it was that hit you, but you got a you got a vibe that something doesn't want you in here. >> So, wait. >> Okay. >> Do we uh not Greg Hilda because obviously she's a barbarian, but but somebody who might have some understanding of uh maybe they could tell us like what kind of thing could have done this. Maybe they they have some knowledge about uh do we have anyone like that >> that has knowledge about a cult skill or 00:35:12 any you know occult things or undead things? >> I do have I do have a cult skill but >> a cultish >> I just saw saw him fall back. >> He says something struck him. >> Yeah. I'll I'll I'll go examine the lock if you like to see if there's um >> Oh, >> okay. Undead lore. So a 16 on undead lure is pretty good. Uh in this case something like this and Zandarius you would probably tend to agree with Velcro uh about this is that sometimes manifestations or hauntings will take 00:35:48 different forms. Earlier you saw what looked to be a ghostly vision of a dead girl in a bathtub, right? or the very the very perceptible ghost of the of the, you know, the the skinny na, you know, the the the nanny who was sort of emaciated and, you know, that kind of stuff and the and the little the little uh weird kind of thing that came out of the bed, the little baby thing. Uh, but uh, in this case, well, and that's those are just various kinds of manifestations of undead or hauntings that can happen. 00:36:18 There are a lot of instances and both of you agree that you've heard of many instances where undeads are manifestations of hauntings and things of this nature are just things like this being struck by disembodied forces, things being thrown through the air by creatures or entities that aren't there. Um, in fact, these are these kinds of things are more common uh in haunted houses and in undead lore than um than the stuff that you saw in the nanny's in the nanny's room. That was a pretty 00:36:51 >> The word that comes to mind is festive, but that's not right. It was It was uh It was uh significantly more complex than typical hauntings would be. This is more This is more like what you would see. >> Okay. >> Okay. All right. >> But yeah, you don't see any traps either on the lock or the door itself. Do you not want to be there? Um, I'm going to go up to the door and knock. >> No, just go in. >> Shaving a haircut. >> It's locked. >> All right. 00:37:26 >> You want me Should I try to unlock this? >> Well, I mean, Eric or I'm sorry. Auda didn't get really get completed. He tried to start unlock it. >> We didn't hit him keys anywhere, did we? >> No. >> Okay. >> So, can he make another attempt? >> Yes, I can. If he wishes, if he so wishes, >> if he wishes to tempt >> the haunting once more, >> you know, but that's fine. This time, Les, um, I'm going to try to be ready to 00:37:52 be knocked in the chest or something. >> All right. So, brace yourself a little bit kind of thing. >> Oh, I could I could as long as I don't have to let go of my sword. I can stand behind you. I mean, I won't have the blade toward you, but I can also help you brace. >> Okay, cool. >> She points the blade at your back. Okay. Whatever happens, he's like, "Oh, skewered." >> Only going forward. So, >> all right, Eric. Yeah. Uh, if you want to take another crack at it, by all 00:38:20 means, do so. Thievery skill 26. Yeah, you very gingerly sort of begin picking that lock again. And you find you, frankly, you find that it's not a very complex lock. >> Uh, and you manage to pick it quite easily. You do not feel struck again >> and uh the door is unlocked. You have not opened it yet, but it is unlocked. >> Okay. >> Do you not wish to open the door, Zandarius? I'm sorry. Uh uh Akudagawa, >> you know what? I shall open up the door >> then. But Gilda will go through first. 00:38:53 >> Okay. I shall let um the uh fierce dwarven warrior go through first. >> Okay. What do I see? >> All right. So, you see once you once you step in there, you see a couple of things. one. This seems like a all of some sorts. There's a there's no furniture up here or anything like that uh in this room that you see, but you do see a bunch of different doors. Uh all of which are sort of uh you know scattered about it. You see five doors. The one the one that you're closest to, 00:39:22 this one here looks like it goes out on a another one of those balconies because you can see there's glass in the window and you can see it goes it goes outside. The rest of them are opaque and you don't um you know you don't see anything behind them. Uh dust kind of comes up. There's cobwebs in the corners. Uh you know that kind of stuff. It doesn't look like anybody's been up here for a very long time. The only other thing that you notice is on the wall back here. There's 00:39:49 a there's a hook like an iron hook embedded in the in the wall like driven into the stone of the wall. And on that hook is an old padlock. An open padlock is just sort of hanging on one of the hooks. And then next to it is a rusty iron key on what looks to be a desiccated piece of ribbon and it's hanging on the hook as well. >> We should collect those and take those. I have a question. >> When did Strad come to this place? >> We don't know. at least 15 years ago because all the 00:40:27 evidence suggests that it was Strad that Strad or Strod's minions were instrumental in the disappearance of the Dursts >> because you found you found certain evidence that seems to suggest that uh Mr. Durst >> Yes. >> was either a follower of Strod or a partner in some way in some way. Yeah. >> Okay. >> But beyond that, you don't know. So Strad was here in this land be because we suspect he's not originally from here. Is that right? >> That's correct. Yeah. You you suspect 00:41:01 he's not originally from here. >> So So but he was here and he had dealings with Durst. It wasn't like um >> Mhm. Yeah. I think you saw uh Yeah, you saw actually a message to Durst from Strad. >> Okay. Um, and if you if you look at it, you can read it. >> It says, um, "My most pathetic servant, I am not a messiah sent to you by the dark powers of this land. I have not come to lead you on a path to immortality. However many souls you have bled on your hidden altar, however many 00:41:36 visitors you have tortured in your dungeon, know that you are not the ones who brought me to this beautiful land. You are but worms writhing in my earth. You say that you are cursed, your fortune spent. Uh, you abandoned love for madness, took solace in the bosom of another woman, and sired a stillborn son. Cursed by darkness. Of that, I have no doubt. Save you from your wretchedness? I think not. I much prefer you as you are, your dread lord and master, Strad Vanzarovich. Uh oh. >> So >> it sounds like this is a response to 00:42:12 some sort of petition >> from Durst. >> And Strad is basically like save you from yourself. I I much prefer you like this >> whatever this is >> because remember they just disappeared. They were here one day gone the next. >> Okay. Do we um do we have a sense of the layout like where Feline climbed or climb flew? I don't can't remember if she flew or she climbed up >> climbed up, >> but she saw the she saw the two skeletons. Like do we have a sense like 00:42:46 uh >> the direction where they would be? >> Yeah, exactly. I've sort of lost my sense inside the house of where was >> orientation to where the front of the house is. >> Yeah. Yeah. Uh, so the front of the house would be south from where you guys are. >> Okay. All right. >> Cuz that's the window she looked in, I believe. >> So then let's let's maybe do there first. >> That seem reasonable. >> Yeah. Good. There's a door down here. Is 00:43:13 that correct? >> There's Yeah, there's a door down in the south. Absolutely. >> How does it look? >> Uh, well, as you move through this this like sort of ant room, uh, you're kicking up a bunch of dust. Uh, it doesn't look like anyone's been up here. >> Um, so yeah. No, I mean it looks it looks untouched. >> Okay. >> No lock on this door. >> Uh, door's closed, but doesn't look like it. Certainly no lock like the ones you guys uh picked to get in here. 00:43:42 >> I'll go in first if someone will open the door. Otherwise, I'll just kick it down. >> Okay. The door uh is unlocked and it opens. sticks a little momentarily sort of and squeaks sort of in protest before it opens up into a spare bedroom thick with dust and cobwebs. Uh the furniture also appears spare sort of a mismatched group of different kinds of furniture. >> Uh the item that draws your attention, however, is over in the corner uh over in the corner by the window right here. 00:44:17 Oh, >> there seems to be a rocking chair which looks like it's moving a little bit. >> Ah. Uhoh. >> It's sort of slowing down. It's it's it's moving in sort of the way that if somebody had been sitting there rocking a few moments ago and then you guys opened the door and they left. It's sort of back and forth. >> And we hear them call out Norman. >> What's in this space here? a doll. >> Looks like a little uh a sitting area. >> Yeah, it looks like a little doll like 00:44:54 sitting on the on the mantle or whatever right there sort of on a little thing. >> Is this another >> or something? >> Armoir? >> Yes, it is. >> And this is an armwire, too. >> Uh this is So, this is an armwire. The bed is Kuragawa is standing at the foot of the bed. There's a little nightstand here. And then this is a small uh like charcoal stove. Yeah. This is a just a rug on the floor. It's like a threadbear rug on the floor. And there's like a 00:45:26 little table over here where there's like a doll on it. It's laying there. >> Or it could be a bench >> that you'd sit by the window. >> Yeah, that's what I was thinking. >> Could be. Yeah, there is a uh a window there that looks out onto another balcony. it. So, wait, is this the window that Failen looked into and saw the >> No, no, that was Yeah. Oh, I'm sorry. The front of the building is to the north, not to the south. I apologize. >> Oh, okay. Okay. Okay. That's 00:45:59 >> Yeah, you're at the rear of the building now. I apologize. That was I blew that. >> He's just tricking you to go into this room. Grim Hilda, >> I'm just >> No, it's fine. Okay. So, I you know, I picked up the babysiz parcel last time. Um, does anyone else want to pick up the B this baby size? >> Do either of our clerics have the ability to detect magic? >> Oh, and >> uh, not only that, >> I would like to search for chops. >> Oh, that's good. That's good. 00:46:28 >> For free. Well, it takes a little time, I think. >> You want to check the room? >> Yeah. Stand by. I got somewhere. Didn't Audawa say that he wanted to do check for traps? >> Where are you checking for traps? Audawa, uh I that's I mean I want to go around the whole room and just check things and even if that it takes time because I I'm sorry. This place makes me nervous. I'm afraid there's going to be God knows what a trap. God knows where. Goddess knows where. I have no no clue. 00:47:07 Um I I guess less if you need to know where I guess specifically I I'll start checking the armois the bed that is this a stove over here. >> Uh yeah it's a it's a it's a wood stove. >> I'll just check around the furniture for any obvious traps if I could. >> Yeah, please do. Um Bugilda Tanen, what are you guys doing? I'm going to uncover the sheets off the bed. >> All right, you pull the sheets off the bed. >> I want to open up the the door. Uh, I 00:47:43 really don't want to take my hand off my sword. I'm hoping I can do it with my sword, but if I can't, I'll take my hand off the sword. I'm going to open it up and I'm going to put my hand right back on the sword. >> What? On the of the uh >> Yeah. Just to see what's in there, you know? Maybe >> the cabinet. The marmar. >> No, the stove fireplace. Like, did burning in there. like is there any anything like half burned in there like un you know >> so it opens up pretty easily although it 00:48:11 squeaks you know cuz it's been it hasn't been opened in a long time. Uh you look in there and it's at first you're like it doesn't look like anybody burned anything in here and then you see as your ais adjust to the the sort of the darkness inside of it. You do see that there is a thin layer of ashes but they don't look like wood ashes. They look more like paper ashes >> to your eyes. But it's not much. You're thinking if somebody burned some paper in here it may have been two or three 00:48:41 sheets at at the most. But you can see it looks different from wood because there's like some curled up pieces kind of like blackened pieces of ash. >> Can you sip through it a little to see if the notes didn't burn all the way? >> Yeah. >> Can I sort of gently >> less I think I think this is a desk cuz there's a chair in front of it. >> Uh the rocky talk about this chair. Wait, >> see the chair here? >> Oh yeah, it is a desk. Sorry. I thought 00:49:09 that was >> should be a desk. >> Yep. Yeah. So there's as you as you pull back the covers >> on the um uh on the bed, you don't see anything. It doesn't look like it's been slept in uh recently or uh at all. It's certainly not um >> it's it looks like it was made a long time ago. There's nothing on the desk. And if you pop open the drawers a little bit too. Yeah. Empty. >> Okay. >> Auda, give me a quick uh uh perception check. It looks like Edith Anne sitting in that 00:49:45 chair. >> So Kudawa, you're standing by the rocking chair. Uh it is now stopped. It's not rocking anymore. >> But as you do, as you're you're sort of standing there, you have you look over, your eye is drawn to this this open window over here, and you see it leads out onto a thing. As you're sort of sitting there, >> uh, you you're looking at that doll and the doll sits up >> and looks at you. >> Oh my god. >> It turns its little doll head and goes 00:50:18 and looks direct. It's looking directly at you. >> Yeah. That don't make you drop your turdy pants. I don't. >> And then it speaks. >> It says It said It's talking to you, Akudagawa. It's talking specifically to you. It says, and it's like this weird little like girl voice. It's like, "You should leave this house now or you will stay here forever." >> Oh, the kids love it. Look at the backyard. >> And then it leaves. >> Yeah, we can't stay. 00:50:48 >> And then it Yeah. Sorry, we can't stay, baby. So, this is what it looks like. >> Oh my god. >> Oh. And then it stands up and leaps at you. >> Oh no. Let's roll for initiative, shall we? So you guys, as you guys you guys look over, you hear this for the rest of you in the room, you hear this voice go, you should leave the house or you'll stay here forever. And then and the Kudagawa is just like saucerize as this doll is speaking to him. At which point the doll 00:51:16 just like leaps at him and he's like falling backwards. >> Velcro. I say there's nothing in here. Let's close the door and leave. >> Can you Can you guys Can you guys see the name plate on it? >> Evil doll. >> It just says evil doll. Yeah. >> Bang. >> Oh man. Evil doll. Oh jeez. Less. Okay, I'm officially creeped out, man. >> Uh, all right. Let's see where um uh initiative. >> Yep, please. >> Ah, 14. That's not very good. That 00:51:52 doll's going to get my It's going to bite me. >> It might. Uh, >> I think that's a doll. >> That's it. You give that dow what it's worth. Bite me. >> Bite her back. >> That's it. >> Am I not seeing it? >> Just start singing a uh lullaby. Maybe it's a shift. >> So it is a fast little monkey, too. >> Uh >> says evil dow zero. Yeah, I I uh we'll get there. >> Okay. >> I just had I had to find out what its 00:52:32 initiative bonus is. >> Gotcha. >> Hello. Uh >> that's a fast little doll. >> It is a fast little doll. >> Uh all right. So, let's put this in there. >> And it's And it's likes you, Akudaga, for some reason. >> Okay. About the same size. >> Wow. It goes before me. >> Oh, yeah. 25. >> Wow. >> It is a fast little doll. Okay. Uh, do we got everybody? >> I guess the golf ball get >> anybody missing Velcro. I got everybody. 00:53:02 Okay. >> Yeah, Velcro's in her. >> Okay, perfect. Uh, all right. So, uh, evil doll goes first. So, the evil doll, uh, uses its first action to literally leap onto Akudagawa. Uh, so it is going to do a attack. Uh, and it's tough too. Uh, it's a tough little guy. >> Tough little evil though. All right, Nanny 19. >> Oh my god. >> Does a 29 hit you? Aud you're you're flumxed by this doll speaking to you and it's screaming as it leaps on you. IT'S SCREAMING OUT LEAN 00:53:39 DOWN. LEAN DOWN. STAY FOREVER. STAY FOREVER. Uh the rest of you are like what is going on? >> Um could Chucky >> hold on. Um >> that is not a sex style. >> Thank you. Uh, what is your Yeah, could it might be a crit. What is your uh What is your AC? >> My AC is uh um >> it says 18 on his character. >> Oh, does it? Okay. Oh, yeah. It's down there. Oh, yeah. AC 18. So, that would be 11 higher. That is a crit. >> Uh let's see what happens. So, first 00:54:13 things first, uh the damage. Let's just do the damage real quick. So, it's got tiny little fists with like like long fingernails that it's just kind of like clawing at you with. >> So, it does another three points of damage as it begins clawing at you. >> But let's check and see what the crit does. >> This is going to be great. >> Three points of damage. Okay. >> Uh, so it's >> Wait, is it >> is it on the power? >> Yes, >> it's on him. Yeah. So nailed in place it 00:54:48 says uh is the is the crit you uh suffer maximum damage. So add another point maximum damage before in this case and you cannot move for one round. >> Okay. >> You are you are frozen in surprise and fear as this thing uh is uh attacking you. >> Um if I may interject I um respond as follows. Yeah, it's like it's like on your shoulders and arm and face. I mean, you managed to get an arm out in front, but it's like clawing up your arm. You've got Now you got scratches on your face 00:55:25 and it's yelling, "Stay here forever. Stay here forever." >> Wait, I I should have stayed in the slums of of whatever that top was. It was safer there. Uh, all right. Uh, Grildilda, you're over by the stove. >> Yes. I'm going to move over there. I think this is five. Uh I can move through tensen, right? >> Yes. >> Okay. So, five, 10, 15. So, I can get to this is 20. What's my speed? Is it 20 or 25? >> I think dwarf. I think it's 20. >> Well, as a barbarian though, it might be 00:55:59 more. >> Yeah. Oh, that's uh No, I haven't got the extra uh >> it says speed on your upper left hand part of your sheet under where it says ability scores, class DC, and speed. >> Thank you. >> Okay, so you got so you can go another one. >> I can is it it is Okay, I can go here. All right, I can get to there. >> All right, >> and then I want to strike at the doll, but not at a cuda. >> All right, so a precision strike. >> Okay. Okay. And I've got the two hands 00:56:31 on my sword because, you know, >> it's already drawn. Yeah. You never put it away. >> All right. Attack is 16. >> Uh, and I think that's going to miss. >> Oh, no. >> That misses. >> Not by much. Uh, yeah, it sort of like steeps out of the way and it sees the blow coming. >> Try to hit him a second time. >> All right, your second strike. Uh, 17 is a hit. Yeah. >> All right. So, you you take another strike and you clock the thing. Uh Auda, 00:57:04 you you could feel the blow uh as it as it hits you. But yeah, it uh you do six points. Uh >> because of the rage, too. >> Oh, so are you are you raging? >> Oh, yes. You Oh, there's a new thing. Well, it's new from Player Core 2. Uh they I'll put post it. They've they've made it. It's called Quicktempered. >> Oh, is that your quicktempered? Yeah, every all be barbarians are. So you rage uh it doesn't it's action economy if you just rage at initiative, 00:57:36 >> right? You rage at the slightest provocation. All right. Well, this is pretty provocative. All right. So So that's a total of nine points. >> Yes. >> All right. Gotcha. All right. So that hit her pretty hard. You feel So underneath your sword, you feel sort of the the porcelain body uh or you know the stuff of the thing. You could feel it sort of like crumble underneath a little bit. It's still screaming and scratching a kudawa and and like but you can you can hear the voice kind of like 00:58:02 changes pitch uh you know in some sort of weirdly because you've you've crunched it in certain ways. So it's like it's not able to make the same sound. So it's like uh it's it's actually like lower now. It's like stay here forever, stay here forever, you know, as it's screaming at Akudagawa. >> Okay, that's all I can do. >> All right, Zendarius, what about you? Um, I will take the doors. >> Okay, >> you hear me chant something and um, 00:58:28 Audawa, you get back eight hit points. >> I get back how much? >> Eight. Eight hit points. Oh, Aurawa is very grateful. Thank you so much. Akuragawa needed that cuz >> uh, All right. Anything with your with your remaining action? Um, I will repull my weapon up and and be ready. >> Okay, you got your weapon. All right. Uh, Tenz, >> so if I step next to him >> and I attack. >> Uh, yes. >> Okay. >> Frankly, I'll say it's be much easier to 00:59:05 attack a Kudagawa at this point. >> Oh, yeah. Well, so I will move >> here. I will assume my um stance. >> Okay, >> which is uh hang on. I've got to remember >> widest of wide stances. >> The the the smite the evil do. >> It is my uh mountain stance. >> Okay. >> And that will raise my armor class, but it also raises my damage that I do. >> I'm pretty sure the doll is already mounting Auda. >> And then I will flurry blows the doll. 00:59:41 Okay. So, you're just like boom boom boom. All right. >> Two strikes. Uh >> all right. So, you moved you moved once. Uh so, your second action is the >> is the flurry. >> Yeah. And then, well, no, the second action is the mountain stance. >> Oh, take the stance. And then final action. >> Final action is the flurry of blows. >> Got it. Okay. >> Tag. And that is a miss. A 12 is a miss. >> Second strike. >> Uh even worse. Yeah. So, uh, no, the both. 01:00:12 >> Don't be afraid to hit the goblin. >> Akudagawa is in the way. Uh, he's making that doll harder to hit. That doll's dodging and weaving. >> Uh, that's crazy. All right, Akuragawa, you are. It's your turn. >> You cannot move. You're frozen in place due to the crit, but you can do other stuff. >> Um, am I able to pull out my dog slicer? >> Absolutely, >> I will do that. >> All right. That's an action. That's a move equivalent. 01:00:38 >> Okay. Um, I am I able to strike at this thing or no? >> Uh, yes, absolutely. Although, Rugilda, you might have a bird's eye view. You see Audawa pull out the dog slashes. The creature's on him and you see him sort of rear back to sort of strike himself. >> Um, I'm going to just try to uh dog slice this hideous >> try and knock it off kind of thing. Okay. >> Yes. I I I'm just horrified. I I I mean, it was much safer back in the in the in the dim slums of of of of Goblinville or 01:01:16 whatever. >> Never left Abselum. >> That's right. Abselum. Exactly. Exactly. Thank you. Um, so with my dog sicer, I will do >> Oh, like this has never happened to your character before. >> A dog sicer. I >> 24 is a hit. >> Oh, wow. >> Uh, in fact, uh Oh, it's not. It's definitely a success. It's not a crit success. So, uh, it's a hit. Uh, five bludge. All right. You knock it off. >> Dog slicer. That's strange. >> Uh, >> yeah. At least I haven't figured that 01:01:46 one out. >> You managed to get it with the with the like the flat end of it and you kind of knocked it off and it clocks up against the thing and falls to the ground in front sort of in between you and Grildilda. It sort of falls on the ground in front of that little little thing. >> Okay. >> All right. Um, Tenzen, thanks for the spell that that really uh pulled me back from the from about the halfway point there. >> Tenzen don't cast spells. >> Sorry. >> Tenzen don't cast spells. 01:02:14 >> It was easy. >> You cast the >> No, no, it was me. It was me. I I saved you. >> It was It was It was It was easy. >> Thank you. Um >> I think you still got an action. >> Um I I still got an action. >> Yes, sir. There's three actions. Remember >> three action. Can I strike her again? >> Yes, you can. >> You have to slice at your second. >> Yeah, that would be your third. >> So, yeah. So, yeah, you uh uh you knock 01:02:45 it to the ground and you hit it again. This time while it's on the ground, and you do 10 bludgeoning points of damage. >> Wait, wait a second. Wait a second. Wait a second. He got a 26, but he didn't use it with the modifiers of striking a second time. Oh, so it's a 21. Still a hit. >> Still a hit. >> Uh but that's okay. Yeah, you got to uh you can't you got to use the second attack and the third attack one because you get worse. >> Uh in this case, it's still a hit. Still 01:03:09 up. >> Oh, I apologize. >> But it is crushed. So you you you feel the Oh, go ahead. Sorry. >> Third attack. I I I see what the number two and the three are now for. Thank you. >> You're good. >> Yep. Uh, so you could hear so it sounds like like a broken I mean it's the the the doll is broken. So in this case the dog is sort of crushed in a bulk of its face. Uh, and it's sort of like you know it's it's sort of lying on the ground. You can see it's trying to lever itself 01:03:40 up. The the noises it's making are uh leave now or stay forever is still doing but it's like >> you're hurting me. I just wanted to play Steve. game as it's trying to like, you know, it's like you broke something inside of it and it's it's not >> it's not working as correctly as it ought to. >> Gotcha. Uh and then Velcro bottom of the order, but not bottom in our hearts. >> Bottoms up, boys. >> Right on. >> All right. Um I'm going to divine lance that little 01:04:18 [ __ ] >> Okay. What is What is that? >> You might not have a view on it unless you can move. Velcro >> divine lance. Target one creature 60 ft. Unleash a beef of divine energy. Make a range attack against the AC. >> Yeah. Move in and you should be able to hit it. >> Yeah, I think I'm there now, right? >> Yep. >> Well, it's it's over here. So, it's kind of in a >> Yeah, it's like on the floor on the other side of the >> Yeah. The problem is I like there's no 01:04:48 line of sight [ __ ] going on. So, I'll go there. >> Perfect. >> Okay. I'm bad with colors. There's so many colors here. All blend in. >> Yeah, we're right on top of each everything. >> All right. I'm gonna cast this spell and see what happens. And I hit cast and it's [ __ ] something wrong because it never [ __ ] works. Why won't this thing work? >> I think you need to get out of that and go into Pathfinder. >> Pathfinder. We're playing Pathfinder. 01:05:25 >> No, no, the character Pathfinder sheet character. >> I think that's what he's using. And I don't think he's using the um >> I think he is using the Pathfinder character sheet. >> All right, let me try. So, that was from >> He may not have it updated though. >> Here, I can hit my divine lance and you just add your pluses. >> Hold on. Let me try it one more time. Cast cast. I'm in roll 20. It's not working. >> That's so weird. 01:05:56 >> Do you know what your pluses are, John? >> All right. So, now I'm in I'm going to I'm going to um demi plane. I'll cast it from there. See what happens. >> All right. >> Cast cast. Nothing. >> I don't know why this is doing this to you. Oh, there it went. >> Oh, that was Zarius. Okay, >> so I'm a plus seven. Plus seven to hit. >> You're also at plus seven. Okay, so roll so roll your to hit, John. And then just add add seven. 01:06:32 >> Well, okay. So, just roll D20. >> Yeah. I mean, because if you're at plus seven, that gives them what? Why is nothing wrong with this? [ __ ] [ __ ] up. >> I don't know, man. That's Yeah, it's that's strange. >> Roll 20's been really hanky. >> 1 D2 0 plus seven >> natural 20. All right. So, 27 that is 10 more than its AC. So, that is you have critted with divine lance. Uh, so do you want the chart or do you want to take I guess it would be or do you want to take 01:07:11 um >> chart? >> Always want the chart. All right. So in this case that would be a ranged attack. >> Uh cross the eyes max damage >> max damage which would be eight in this case plus blinded for 1d4 minutes. Although that is not going to matter because the divine lance hits it right in the face >> and the uh in its in its beady little eyes and it blows up >> uh the head and uh rest of the body. You can hear little pieces of porcelain sort of raining down across the floor as uh 01:07:46 as it uh as it explodes into a bunch of pieces and the divine lance uh takes it out. So in one round you guys killed my uh my uh uh thing. Yeah, it is. It does seem to be quite destroyed. >> Wow, that was rough. That was rough. >> Can I pick Can I pick through it and find the voice box to keep for later? So when a Kudigo goes to sleep, I can go. >> You can pick through the pieces. Other than other than the the sort of tatty uh you know, tattered clothing that's now scorched and and beat on. It's just at 01:08:18 this point, it doesn't even look like a doll. It's just a bunch of pieces of porcelain. There doesn't seem to be anything that would have been inside. any eyeball that I can >> ten see if there's >> there's one there's one it was missing one eyeball there was one little sort of like dark stone like a brownish kind of glass bead >> ten see if you can find the lips and then you can slip that into a kudawa's pack later >> that's friendly I'll keep the little eyeball then I'm 01:08:52 gonna Tuck it away. >> Audaba is not gonna forget this. U close the window, right? >> Not for a long time. Can you imagine you're sitting in a room and a doll sits up and goes, "Hey, you're going to die here." And then leaps at you and starts clawing at you. You be two years from now, you'll be waking up in the middle of the night in a cold sweat. >> So, was that some level one? Is that is that is that a construct or what is that thing? Uh it's some sort of Yeah, the uh 01:09:24 technically it is what is called a soulbound doll and it is technically a construct. A soulbound construct. Yeah. >> Uh can we see it's raining out that window? >> Uh it is it is definitely raining sort of a steady good soaking rain as opposed to a storm or anything like that. >> Okay. >> I knew a storm. He he was a killer. Yeah. Um, Les, can I lean out the window and just look look around? What do I see out there? >> Yeah, there does seem to be sort of it's 01:09:57 it's um it's like a little another one of those little patio areas, but in this case, it's just outside of the window. So, it doesn't look like some place uh that somebody would have spent time on. It's not like a patio that you would go walk out onto. It's more like a patio that you would look out. You can see there's another window sort of on the other corner uh that's closed and leads into Yeah, I mean you can't see past that. It's it's dark in that room. But 01:10:22 yeah, it's like a little um uh a little uh a little patio area outside there. >> Actually, you know what? I am wrong. This you can see there is roof area here sloping down this this patio is the one on the the third floor. >> Yeah, that's down that's down one level. >> Yeah, you can overlook that patio. The girl from the servant girls or not servant girl, >> the nannies. Yeah, >> the booties. Booty call. Yeah. >> Close that window. It's drafty. 01:10:52 >> Uh, unless I'm going to check the armwis. >> Uh, yep. And you don't even have to roll perception check. It's completely empty. >> Oh, okay. >> Move it away from the wall. I was going to do that after I check the the um because they like to put things behind the arm or peeppholes and such. light. >> I'll take it and turn it sideways. >> Okay. You move it out of the way. It Yeah. You don't see anything behind it. The wall looks like a fairly plaster 01:11:17 wall. You You take You take a moment to look pretty closely because some of these things like the one the peepphole downstairs and stuff like that uh it took a minute to find, but um but yeah, no, as far as you can tell, there's nothing extraordinary about the wall behind the the armwire. And we have uh Kudagawa check the floor in the back because that's we found a secret one in the one down below that had a flower. What we thought were the remnants of a flower. It was um >> it was a a um it was a stick with a red 01:11:57 ribbon wrapped around it. Uh, that was in the armois that we made. >> Oh, yeah. There's nothing like that here. >> Okay. >> Okay. Um, >> it's it's it's completely empty. Empty and looks like it's been empty for a while. Sorry. Go ahead. Uh, Eric, what were you saying? >> Um, I'm glad to search for for traps again if that would help. Um, >> take take a minute or two uh and just kind of search the whole room. Give me a quick perception check. 01:12:24 >> Okay. Uh, 12. >> 12. Yeah. You look around, you don't see any traps. Your guess is that this room was largely unused. Uh perhaps a guest room. There's nothing to indicate that this had any sort of like for example the nanny's room had nanny [ __ ] in it, right? And uh you know there was you know it was obviously at some point in the past it was occupied. This room doesn't give that vibe. It doesn't look like it was at the t where we're I mean this whole house you're kind of looking 01:12:58 backwards in time, right? It's like a snapshot of 15 years ago that when the Dursts disappeared. >> Um, this room seems to indicate that at that time >> nobody was staying in this room. >> Keep in mind the the sort of thing the sort of trouble that you had to do to to get up here too. >> Except for that doll. >> Except for the doll. Yeah. >> The doll seemed to before she attacked Ukawa, it seemed like that she was issuing a warning. Mhm. >> You should leave the house now or you 01:13:28 will stay forever. >> That was the first word. That was the first thing that she said to Audiga. >> H >> maybe it was meant to be friendly. >> Is there anything um in the in the nightstand? >> Nothing. Completely empty. >> Okay. All right. Other than what looks to be some burnt paper ashes in the stove. >> Yeah, >> the room seems to be completely empty except for now the the destroyed bits of a doll. >> Okay, >> let's Yeah, let's go to that door right 01:14:06 here on this side and check that one. >> Cool. Um, I shall uh check this door. Uh oh, I just opened that door by accident. Anyway, I was going to check it for traps. >> Well, look at all the ghosts in there. Yeah, this looks it looks like a typical and and as you go in here, you real it becomes pretty clear that you are definitely in the attic. The ceiling is sort of pitched upward um and uh you know is is you know it's definitely an attic. This looks like what a typical attic would look like. There's a it's 01:14:38 like a bunch of old furniture, you know, with sheets thrown over it. Uh there you can see that there's some things that are obviously chairs and couches. You can see other ones that are like standing maybe you think standing mirrors. They all have um >> uh uh you know they all have >> yeah sheets on top of them except for one there's like a one I mean you can see that one of them is obviously a trunk of some sort. Um >> but uh you know it's uh you know just sort of like 01:15:07 nothing interesting really super interesting here. It looks like they were storing furniture and stuff here. It's like this >> less on the one next to me. >> I'm gonna pull the sheet off of it. >> Okay, that is this large standing mirror. Uh it's start it's it's old. Um and uh but it looks a lot like the mirror that was in the nanny's room. Maybe made by the same company or something like that. It's got the edges of the mirror have gotten that that started to tarnish because of the 01:15:36 silvered glass. So, it's getting that sort of like those that that sort of like edgy spots where it's like faded and kind of boggy um because of that. But, uh it other than that it uh I mean you could see your reflection in it and you know in the center of it that kind of stuff. >> I'm going to turn it towards the wall. >> Turn it towards the wall. Okay. >> Rael's gonna just poke >> not necessarily to damage but just to poke the, >> you know, the Yeah, you poke it. I mean, you know, in 01:16:04 this case, that one you poke uh it kind of is soft. Uh and if you peer under the sheet, you'll see that it is a like a little dean. Um you know, it's got and you poked the cushions. I mean, you didn't man it just it just kind of pressed in a little bit. You didn't even poke it hard enough. >> I'm assuming it's s dusty in there as well. >> Very dusty. In fact, pulling the sheets off of these things kicks up clouds of of dust. Uh you know, to the extent that you're just like it's 01:16:29 >> this one in front of me, I'll remove. >> Okay. Uh that was a chair, a large wing back chair. Uh uh the the the the um the uh upholstery looks like maybe it was once red or purple, but has faded significantly over time. >> Les, what's this right here? Is that stove or something? >> It's another stove. Yeah, it's a very similar to the one that was in the other room. Um if you open it up, it it's same it's the same thing. It was either used for wood or maybe even coal. Um but it 01:16:59 doesn't have any ashes in it at all. It's It's completely cleaned out. >> Move over to this one here and remove that one. >> Okay. Uh this is a large table and there's some chairs like highback chairs which have been sort of tucked underneath. Um the table has an inlay with leather. So it's like wood around the edge and then the middle of the table has leather in it. Maybe like a an old card playing table of some sort. Maybe >> less I'm just going to start removing 01:17:28 them all. >> Okay. >> Step up to the next one. I'm sick of this place. This could be our headquarters. >> Yeah. >> Ultimately, there is Yeah. You pull all the things off and you kick up a lot of dust, but it's basically old furniture. One of the things that first seems to be promising is a is a is a chest, a trunk. Uh but there's no lock on it. You pop it open. It's filled with folded sheets. >> Um so you're like, "Oh, okay. We get we found out where they got the sheets." 01:17:53 Um, you know, but other than that, other than the window in the corner, which looks out off into the backyard, everything here seems quite mundane. Furniture, old furniture storage in the attic. >> Cool. >> Okay, I see. Huh. Okay, >> let's take over. >> Um, what's in the these stove here? >> Uh, there's nothing in the stove. >> Okay. Yes, sir. And out the window, I just see the same courtyard. >> Mhm. Yeah, you can see that other window over there where the doll uh the doll 01:18:23 was sitting over there. You can see over that pretty clearly. But yeah, >> piece is like >> would this correspond to the area that was like the void, the stone hollow >> potentially? Yeah, >> we should investigate that wall. I'll I would investigate it. >> Okay, give me a perception check. 26. All right. Well, Akudagawa is not the only perceptive creature in this party because Grindilda, as you as you draw upon your uh your dwarfish uh you know, history with stonework and 01:19:08 cunningly worked uh stones, you realize that there's a secret door. >> Wow. >> There's a secret door. >> Mhm. Oh, okay. Uh, does it look >> It's cunningly hidden. Uh, embedded in what looks to be the stone of the wall. >> Oh, we got to we got to open it. >> Okay. Oh my god. All right. Nice work. Well done. Uh uh, Valiant Dwarf. Very perceptive and wise of you to I. He didn't even think to check. >> Very nice. Um, okay. Uh, is the door does it have a handle or a lock on it or 01:19:55 something? >> It's very cunningly hidden. So, there doesn't seem to be any sort of handle or lock. You kind you have to There's like a couple of stones that sort of push in and you have to like pop it out. Um, but there's no handle. It's it's it's cunningly designed to be almost invisible in the rest of the wall. >> And does that match up to the voided wall and the flow? Yeah, that's what we Yeah. >> Oh, it does match up to the void. The the hollow 01:20:22 >> does. >> What do we see in there? Oh, >> wait. Are you opening it? You have to put your sword away. No, I'm just >> No, I'm not opening it. I would have to put my sword away. >> You going to open it? >> I can do it with my toes. Oh no, something went wrong. Uh >> oh. Uh >> oh. >> Nothing went Nothing went wrong. Just roll 20 acting foolish. All right, so uh Akuragawa, are you going to open that door? Yes, I will. I will rush forward 01:20:46 and open the door with great vigor. >> All right, >> hang on. Now I I have to I refreshed. So, I have to get back to where I was, back to where I belong. >> Yeah, you could have just dismissed it cuz it lied to you. >> Gotcha. >> Okay. All right. Uh and I opened up the door. >> All right. As you peer in, you see that the void that you guys have been referring to is really a column >> uh with a very narrow uh set of stone steps going circular down. A circular 01:21:23 stone set of steps that go downward. >> Spiral staircase. >> Spiral staircase. Stone staircase going down. >> Okay. So, wait. I feel like we should finish this level. >> Finish the attic. Yes, I agree. We go down the stairs to our doom and never leave. >> Doom doom. >> Really taking that doll's words to heart. I mean, you know, just a doll. They don't know. >> Dolls don't know what's going on. >> Yeah. Leave it open and we'll check the 01:21:55 other two rooms. >> Okay. >> Or other two doors directly across. >> There's three. >> All right. Uh uh >> there's one up in the corner, too. Before a Kuragawa and Grildilda, give me a quick perception check. >> Okay. >> Perception check. >> Yeah. How does it smell? Does it smell really dank? >> Uh yeah, it doesn't Well, there's It smells dank. Uh wet. >> Um but there's also another there's other another smell underneath it. 01:22:24 >> Uh an unpleasant >> musty goblined. >> Yeah, it's not good. >> They say you're traveling with two orcs and a goblin. That Receptions these days are terrible. >> Grilda, after when the party says, "Hey, let's just let's not go down there yet. Let's check the rest of the thing." You look around and over here on this wall. Somehow you guys managed to miss it uh when you guys were searching this room. Uh but hanging on the wall, you can see 01:22:54 clearly see what looks to be on a hook. Uh a small almost childsiz necklace. >> Oh, I think you found your doll's necklace there, Kudig there. >> And it's just sitting there sort of on like a little hook on the on the wall. It seems impossible that you guys would have missed this. >> Just appeared. They were all looking under the sheets. >> Okay, I'll uh I'll take it out to somebody for it. >> I will come over. >> She doesn't take her hands off the sword 01:23:30 for nothing. >> I'll come over and lift it off the thing. >> So, Grilda puts it on. >> No, >> I put it on. She can't stop you cuz she tune to it. >> Uh yeah, it's it's very small, very delicate. Um >> Oh, a kudawa. It would fit. uh a small very very small. Yeah. And it does give you the idea that this is maybe a childsized uh necklace. It seems to be the chain seems to be made of gold. Uh and there is a there is a what looks to be like a uh like the on on the edge of it like 01:24:08 hanging from it. It looks like a a small yellow stone which has like a little starburst of of of little gold pins coming out of it. Like a little starburst. >> Could this possibly be our Wait a second. >> To control the beast. >> The amber shard. >> It's a yellow stone. It's possible it's made of amber. I mean, I don't know. Do you guys uh um Oh, >> the only one who might know would be Yeah, >> I think is it a >> crafter's appraisal? 01:24:50 >> I don't know. >> Oh, that would have been that would have been Iggy. Iggy would have had that. >> Oh, Iggy might have. Yeah, with glass. That kind of thing. >> Um, yeah. I mean, it could be amber, I guess. It's just like a yellow sort of >> gem. >> Does it look like solidified tree sap? Maybe >> it's been it's >> so it's not smooth. It's been faceted. Somebody has gem cut this thing. So, it's cut like a gem. >> Uh but it also has these little very 01:25:22 thin gold pins kind of coming out of it like a It's It's basic. You can immediately recognize it looks like a stylized kind of starburst or a sunrise or something like that. >> Oh, sunrise. Isn't Groom Hilda's uh goddess or whatever or something with >> Dawn? Uh, wait a second. Let me It's >> Are we talking about Sarin Ray? >> Yeah. >> Yeah, she's Wait, >> the Dawn Flower. >> Sarin Ray the blasphemer. >> I think my my deity is Shelon actually. 01:25:57 Is is Sarin Ray? >> I think Sarin Ray is commonly referred to as the dawnflower. Let me check though. Yeah. Yeah. >> But you also remember so uh hold on a second. Yeah. Sarin Ray is known to her faithful as the dawnflower, the healing flame, and the ever light goddess who teaches temperance. Blah blah blah. History appearance. Sarin Ray manifests as a bronze angelic beauty with golden hair composed of flames. >> Um >> can can either of the clerics do uh detect magic on it? 01:26:35 I I don't even know. My my spells are all jacked up. >> But you can do it, right? >> I don't think you have to actually >> when you cast it, I don't think you actually have to. >> I'm just going to say if he if you can't cast it, John, we'll just say you cast it and have it looked at. >> Yeah. Sanderius is really working the Sakuda. He's he's going to be bothering you about this doll for a long time. So, yeah. Um, so Sarin Ray is known as the 01:27:03 dawnflower and she does her holy symbol does is uh let me make sure I'm doing this right but I think uh hold on me make sure symbol is a so she has multiple symbols one of them is a is an angelic looking ank uh another one is a stylized version of a sunrise But you also remember, so when you first came to Bovia, the church that you guys were hidden in, >> you'll remember was a church to something called the morning lord. >> So you're not sure if maybe this is some sort of weird Bovian version of of Sarin 01:27:49 Ray. Um, you don't remember seeing any symbols uh uh or holy or holy symbols. You don't, in fact, you don't remember Father Donovich having any symbol symbology on him at all. But, um, but it's possible >> he may not have wanted to out himself by >> Well, they had a whole church. So, and there's a church of the morning lord here in Vaki, too. >> So, apparently the count allows this this to worship on this creature. I mean, I this thing a creature maybe. I don't know. 01:28:26 Do you want it, Barbarian? >> Did somebody say that they were going to cast detect magic? >> John said he can do it. He just having problems with the >> with the thing. All right. So, John, do you want to cast detect magic? >> I do >> on the thing. >> It's a trip. >> Excellent. So, you do it very quickly. Um, all right. So, it is you send out a pulse that registers the pres Let me try that. Let me try that again. You send out a pulse that registers the 01:28:55 presence of magic. You receive no information beyond the presence or absence. You can choose to ignore magic you're fully aware uh aware of such as magic items and that things and you could detect illusion magic only if that magic's effect has a lower rank than you. Uh in this case it does radiate magic. Oh, well, we should definitely take it, >> but I don't think we should put it on until we connect. >> Well, I was going to say we should have it identified first, but >> yeah, just in case because this whole 01:29:21 place is a bit dodgy. >> Does anybody want to hold it or you want me to hang on to it? >> Doesn't matter to me. I can hang on to it or you can. >> Well, I'll go over and hand it to Zezy. >> Well, that's good. I'm going to less put it down as amber necklace unless you tell me different. >> Okay. >> Um, now could that be the amber jar? >> Could be. We don't know. >> Yeah. >> So, the gem inside of you, take a take a look at it. It looks like a gem. It's 01:29:55 been facet. Uh, but I mean it I mean none of you guys are gemologists or if that's even a word. So, um I mean it could be amber. I guess >> it's not It doesn't look like a shard of anything, though. >> All right, I see. >> It's definitely been cut to fit in this necklace. And it looks like when you look at the the the golden pins radiating out from the the frame that holds the gem, >> uh it looks like it's definitely designed to look like either an explosion or a sunrise, you know, some 01:30:25 sort of some sort of starburst or a sunrise of some sort. >> Well, keep it handy. Worst case scenario, you know, we could try to use it to control the beast. You know, if it doesn't work, well, >> you got to know the beast's name, though. It said in the note, >> the beast's name. >> We don't have the name yet. >> Okay. >> I say I call the beast a Kudagawa, but >> maybe the beast's name is forever. Yeah. You will stay with us forever. 01:31:03 >> Yeah. Stay with us forever. >> And ever. >> Yeah. That's the name of the beast. Forever. >> All right. What next? You found So you found a thing that goes downward. This hidden sort of stone staircase. Another staircase in this case that seemingly is built into the house in a way that is odd. >> Well, like like Groom Hilda said, let's go check the other doors. >> Yeah. There's there's three doors. There's two on that wall and then one recessed. 01:31:28 >> Yeah. >> Yeah. the recessed ones. You could definitely tell that it looks out onto a uh a larger um uh like a balcony kind of thing. >> I'll go I'll go. Is that door locked? >> No, it's it's Yeah, it'll open. >> So, yeah, it just it just it looks out onto this onto this little balcony area. >> Well, where do the darn stairs from down below come up to then? Were there another set of stairs that even >> No, just right behind us. I I know, but 01:31:55 I thought there was >> I think the stairs we originally came the first and second floor from. >> Yeah, I think they go from second to third. >> Oh, they're not there. Okay. >> All right. I'm going to close that door. >> The big spiral staircase. They go they go from first to third, but then they stop. Now, the hidden staircase is sort of built above the southern part of that spiral staircase. >> Okay. Okay. >> So, it's built it's built not entirely 01:32:20 above it uh but partially above it. Okay. >> Auda, do you want to check either one of these doors before we open them? >> I um was about to say, "May I please uh check uh first um this door?" Oh, I just opened it. I think Anyway, um I wanted to check it for traps, but oh well. I'll just um hop on in. >> I just fling up with the door. >> Did you just fling that door open? >> I did. >> All right. Akudaga goes running in. All right. So, this this room actually looks 01:32:55 in in many ways like the room to the south in that it it's a obviously a bedroom. There's a bed, there's a rocking chair, there's another there's a stove and another doll which leaps in Kuragawa immediately. >> UH SAYING WRONG, WRONG, you know. Uh another thing again is you sort of like look around, you pull back the the covers, you look into the the nightstand and the and the armoire completely empty. Oh, >> did you bring my sister doll to me? >> And and and and this is um 01:33:28 >> stove. >> Another another wood stove. Yeah. >> Haven't seen any of the skeletons. Correct. >> No skeletons. >> Okay. >> Got one door left. >> Okay. Uh I will go check it over here and uh I'll just open it again. >> So that door is locked. Yeah. Uh and again locked from this side. >> So like locking somebody in. >> Everybody step back. >> Do do your do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do 01:34:03 do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do your fine traps first. >> Step back from the door. And I'm going to do fine traps on the door. >> All right. Go. Where am I? Perceive. Perceive. Perceive. Perceive. >> Right hand side. >> Is it perceive or thievery? It's perceive. So I I do uh 22. >> Oh, there you go. >> 22. Yeah, you look around. It does not look trapped. It's definitely locked. And it's a similar kind of lock to the 01:34:30 one that you opened on that's on the other side of the staircase. Um, possibly manufactured by the same locksmith and installed uh in a similar fashion. Yeah. But there's this this uh this this one is locked. >> That's fine. Boss >> less. Is it similar to the one hanging on the wall to our right? >> You said there was there was a padlock on there. It's different from the padlock, but there was a key on a on like an old ribbon that was hanging there. >> Yeah. 01:34:58 >> Key might work. I mean, it's a similar kind of gonna say I will go over and grab the key and bring it back and hand it to >> Akuda. Sure. All right. I will that that's a good thinking. I will try the key. >> Okay. You try the key and it does. It takes it it's it's like it's it it it's obvious that it hasn't been unlocked for a long time because you kind of have to like >> kind of crank it a little bit, but the key does work. >> The door is now unlocked. 01:35:26 >> Nice. Um can I um put the key in my belt pouch? >> Uh sure. >> Okay. I I will hold on to the key for now and I will open up the door. >> Okay. >> And there's our >> This used to be a children's bedroom. >> Two small beds are in each corner away from the door. There's an open toy box with windmills and you know jumble of dolls and stuff like that. Uh opposite the toy box is a dollhouse uh which looks to be uh a perfect a perfect representation of this house 01:36:09 that you're >> Is this the dollhouse? >> That's the toy box. I don't know where the dollhouse is. >> Is it right here underneath Groom Hilda? >> Uh no. It's got to be somewhere around here. Um, >> yeah. Look, >> we should we should >> It looks like you're standing You're standing on the house, Grimilda. >> But when you zoom when you zoom in, >> when you zoom in really close, >> it's a doll. Oh, yeah. It is that is the 01:36:35 dollhouse. And it looks exactly like uh like this. Uh you do see what looks to be two small skeletons in the middle of the floor. They're on the ground. >> Uh and it looks like they are embracing. But as you step into the room, something materializes in between the beds. >> Oh my gosh. >> You see a slender girl, perhaps 10 or 12 years old, pacing the floor at the foot of the bed, obviously very upset. She's dressed in what looks like Bovian fashions. Uh she appears famili a little 01:37:15 familiar, like you've seen her face before, maybe. Uh but perhaps her most striking feature is the fact that you could see through her uh and that she is semi uh that she is semi semi-transparent >> translucent. >> She looks at you Grugilda and everybody sort of looks at everybody at the same time and you hear her voice. It is about time. We have no time to lose. You have to get her away from the monster and out of the house by midnight. >> Get which monster away? Get whom? Away 01:37:46 from the monster by midnight? >> Well, she says that a young girl. She says the Arena, the young girl that came here. >> Arena. >> Yeah. She came to shelter in the house earlier today. >> And I think that the monster in the basement has her and that's why she was screaming. >> Can I do an insight check or what? They don't have insight. What do they have? Uh, is it sense motive? I can't remember if it's still sense motive. >> Perception just perception like you're 01:38:21 looking for like I don't know >> performance possibly. >> Uh, when someone tries to sense the motive of a PC, you need to figure Oh, this is Yeah, it's I think sense motive is a thing. >> Yeah, >> that sounds >> but I I think it's perception. Can how about can I just do a religion check and see if I know about semi-transparent entities? >> Sure. >> Yeah. >> Well, they I mean they look like the other ghost we have seen. Is that correct? 01:38:51 >> A little. Yeah. >> Although they're they're talking to you sort of normally. I mean she says it's about time. It's like she expected you guys. It's about time. We don't have any time to lose. She says, "You have to get her away from the monster and out of the house by midnight. >> Bring me my dolly." >> 26 religion checks. So, yeah. Um, so these are obviously ghosts. Uh, but the fact that you're interact you're able to interact with them in more or 01:39:19 less a normal fashion, which would lead them to you think that these are more traditional undead ghosts rather than the haunts that you've seen before. the other stuff that you've seen. There's a difference between like undead ghosts and haunts, right? So, the girl in the tub haunt getting punched by that thing outside the door that Akuragawa had haunt. But like the nanny, the the emaciated nanny ghost cuz you were interacting with her. Um, these two are literally speaking. Well, the w the girl 01:39:58 is the boy is sort of hiding behind her. He seems quite a bit younger, maybe six or seven years old, and he's sort of hiding behind her, uh, and sort of peering out at you with this little glowing eyes that he has, but she's the one who's talking. She basically says, "We have to get her out of here. We have to get her out before midnight." Um, and you say, "Who who do we have to get uh get here?" Uh, and she says, "Arena, Arena, the young girl." >> Uh, who came today? She came to the to 01:40:25 shelter in the house earlier today. And I think the monsters in the basement have her. And that's why she screamed. >> Okay, >> that's a really good point. So, um, what day do you think it is today? >> Well, she's a kid, so she probably she's like, "It's Tuesday." You know, that kind of thing. I don't know. Um, >> does she know about the Amber Shard or the name of the monster? >> Yeah. What's the name of the beast? >> The beast. 01:40:51 >> The beast. Uh, >> I'm going to be our B. >> She says, um, she says that my my mom has, uh, something she refers to as the shard. Uh, I don't know what it's made of, but sometimes she says that she can use it to, uh, uh, to tame the monster. Uh, and that that's that's what makes us safe from the monster. But Arena doesn't have it. She's We You guys have to help me. We have to go get her. >> Yes, but it would be helpful if we knew what the shard looked like. 01:41:26 >> Zezy Zezy, show her the pendant and ask her as if it's a shard. >> Well, >> okay. So, you show her the pendant. She's like, "You found my necklace." And she and she kind of like >> walks is too strong a word. She sort of slides over towards you uh with her hand out. You found my necklace. Where was it? I couldn't find it anywhere. I haven't been able to find it. I've been looking all over. >> It was with your dolly. >> Oh, I'm too old for that. I don't play 01:41:57 with dollies anymore. >> Neither does our >> try to hand it to her. >> Green friend here. >> So, you give you hand the necklace >> if she wants the necklace. Yeah, I'll give her the necklace. >> So, yeah, her ghostly hand reaches out and the necklace falls and as you sort of like lay it over, it stays. So, uh, if you're far back and you can't see her very good, it looks like a necklace is floating. She takes it and she puts it on. The necklace looks does not look 01:42:24 translucent. It looks real, but now she's she's hanging around her translucent neck and you it's this is one grim point where you're looking at her putting on the necklace and you can see the edges of the necklace that she's trying to connect together. You can see through her throat to the back uh where she's trying to hook them together, but you you know her hands you can't really see that well, but you can see the edges of the necklace. Finally, she >> Those are not the is not the shard. 01:42:51 >> No, she says she says my my mommy has something that she calls the shard. Uh and it's yellow. I guess I guess it is, but she says it she says it keeps the monster from getting her and she can protect us from the monster in the basement. >> Okay. >> But Arena doesn't have it. doesn't have it. We have to go downstairs. You guys have to help me. I don't know where she is. I'm worried that she's that the monster has her. And if And if And if she's here after midnight, she'll have 01:43:17 to stay. >> Can you lead us there? >> Of course. I can show you the way. >> What time What time is it now? >> The clock on the wall over there says 10 after 10. >> Yeah. I mean, it's stopped, though. That clock's The clock's old. It's been stopped forever. She doesn't know what time it is. She's like, I I don't know what time it is, but >> but do we do we know >> midnight comes so fast? It's probably It's still daylight out, so probably 01:43:41 3:30, 4 in the afternoon. >> Oh, okay. Well, then if she can lead us there, let's go. >> Well, do we want to check the This is the last room, correct? >> As far as we know, it's the only room up here. >> Yeah. >> On this level. Does she know where the shard is located? I don't know what that is. >> Do you know what the name of the beast is >> that your mommy had? You said >> I don't know what the that if the monster even has a name. My mom said 01:44:13 never to go never to go uh never to be to stay. His name is Akudagama. And was like, you know, >> that's a com. Yeah. Uh so she said I was uh my my mommy uh and daddy would lock uh would lock me and my brother Thorne here. uh uh up here in our room so that the monster couldn't get us. >> No. >> Sometimes the uh uh the nanny would come in uh uh uh Maria her name was uh her name is uh and sometimes she would come in but I haven't seen her for a long time. >> Yes. Unfortunately. 01:44:55 Kio sir. >> Yeah. Um, >> I'll go along. >> Do we need to take these bones with us? >> Are you asking her that question? >> Yes. >> I don't know what that I don't know what those are. They've been here for so long. >> Do they fit their description? Sizewise? >> Yeah, they kind of do. >> Does she not seem to realize that she's dead? I probably not. >> He doesn't talk like it. >> Okay. Um, >> let me clear let me clear these up for 01:45:34 you. Less I'll I will stash all those bones in a bag. All right. >> Two separate bags. I'll try to >> Actually, you could take a blanket off the bed and use that. >> Yep. >> I got bags though, too. That's fine. >> Will you help? Will you Will you help to save Arena? >> Yeah. >> Yes. >> Okay. Let me show you. Let me show you the uh uh let me take you I can take you to the basement. >> Okay. >> Okay. Let's go. >> So, 01:46:05 everybody give me a quick wisdom check. >> Uh just a straight wisdom roll. >> Yeah. With your wisdom bonus. >> We just pushed the blue, right? >> Yep. >> All right. So, this girl who says her name is Rose, by the way. Her brother's name is Thorne. >> Um, uh, >> Rose and Thorn. Okay, >> that's cute, isn't it? Um, she keeps talking about Arena. And for some reason, especially you, Grildilda, you you're like, why is that name familiar? 01:46:42 And then you remember at Madame Eva, >> at Madame Evas, you turned over a card. Strad's enemy was the name of the card. This card sheds light on one who will help you greatly in the battle against darkness. And the >> evil's bride is the one you seek. >> And you remember Madame Eva saying her name was Arena. >> That's why we came here. It wasn't just that we were like, "You can't tell us to not go somewhere. >> You can't go there." Yeah. Okay. We'll 01:47:19 go. But yeah, she says, "Come with me. I'll show you the way down." >> Uh, and she like her and her brother sort of like and they're not walking. I mean, their legs are sort of moving, but if you look at their legs, their legs are sort of like shimmery and they're sort of like gliding across the floor and you kind of sort of step out of the way and they go kind of past you and take you back to here >> to where? Oh, lower. >> Yep. So they take she takes you back 01:47:54 into the room uh she floats into this room here, the room with all the uh um with all the old furniture. Uh and that door right here and she stand she stands about here and points at the door and basically says that way goes down into the basement. That's where the monster lives. That's where Arena will be if the monster has her. And I think he I think he does. We have to protect her. You guys have to help me. I can't do it by myself. I'm just a kid, >> right? >> But she referred she referred to Arena 01:48:29 as a young girl. She said a young girl Arena came to shelter in the house earlier today, >> but you get the impression that maybe her sense of time is a little distorted. So, can you explain to us will she be will the monster harm her or will the monster keep her if she stays here past midnight? >> Well, the I think both. It's possible that the the monster is very dangerous. Mom and mommy and daddy used to say all the time that we had to stay we had to do everything we could to stay away from 01:49:05 the monster down in the basement. that we should not ever go down there and that sometimes they would lock us in our rooms to make sure that we were safe from the monster in case there was in case there was problems. And then Arena came uh and uh I I sometimes if you stay after midnight then you can't you can't leave and I know that she was going to want to leave. So uh we have to get her out of here before midnight. >> Well, okay. >> Okay. >> All right. We're going to start heading 01:49:31 down the stairs then. you get the >> you get the impression that um she has she has kind of a >> a child's understanding of monsters and things like like she's been told some things and she's seen some things but doesn't necessarily 100% understand what's what what she's been told or seen. >> Right. Right. Right. And it sounds like I mean if you know she basically will say our parents used to >> used to lock us in here >> uh so we would be safe from the monster. 01:50:06 And then she also said that Maria who she referred to as the nanny >> uh or the nurse maid she also called her um would come up and check on us uh would come here and check to make sure we were okay because sometimes we had to stay in here for a long time. >> Wow. >> Right. Looking at the looking at the skeletons, it's possible that >> they work without >> Rose and Thorne's parents locked them in here and then something befell Rose and Thorne's parents. 01:50:36 >> Parents. Yeah. >> And no one ever came back up here to unlock them. >> Right. >> Because the two skeletons were sort of I don't want to say intertwined, but it looked like that they were in like together. or they were like maybe holding each other when they died or something like that or because the skeletons were very close together and the arms and legs, not legs, but the arms were intertwined. That kind of thing. >> All right. >> It's possible they got locked up here 01:51:04 and starved to death. >> Yeah. >> Down the stairs. >> All right. So, you guys going down the stairs? >> Yes. >> Excellent. All right. Hold on. Let me >> find my sword. >> All right. Let me uh Wait. What? What? See what's behind this door? >> Yeah. >> Uh, he already did. >> Yeah. That goes out to a balcony. >> He closed it to keep the weather out. >> Yeah. >> Well, to keep the evil dolls from coming in. >> Oh my god. 01:51:35 >> Exactly. >> They're really something, aren't they? So, so do we think because so, so she's she doesn't know what the time is, right? Like she's she's >> she doesn't seem I'd say the monster already morphed. >> This this person who's the bride of the person that we're trying to >> evil's bride is who you seek and she said her name was Arena. She's been stuck down here since she came. Like this. Maybe she didn't come this 01:52:13 morning, but she was a little girl when she came and then she's been here for however many years. >> It's possible. It's possible. Yeah. I mean, you don't know. I mean, this place this place has been >> So, keep in mind that this the this house has been abandoned and considered haunted >> for like 15 years. >> Yeah. and that you guys were told that sometimes the Renfields will use this place to interrogate prisoners or as a meeting house of some sort, but you 01:52:42 really haven't seen much evidence of that. Um, not not much disturbed dust. Um, it's possible that the Renfields sort of stoked the idea that they were using this place as a as some sort of headquarters to keep people away from it. But what reason might they have to keep people away from here? It doesn't. Everything that you guys have seen in the in the lower floors, >> none of it seems to indicate that there's any regular use of this place. In fact, the opposite. All right. What's your marching order? 01:53:15 Because the stairway going down is uh quite quite narrow. Only one person can go down the steps at a time. I >> Is Grug Hilda Is Grug Hilda the tank today or >> No, you're gonna have to go. You're gonna have to go first because my guess myself and Tenzen, >> it's going to be a good squeeze for us. We're both nine foot tall. >> Okay. >> No, we're seven foot tall. >> Oh, I'm sorry. >> Not nine foot. >> Seven. >> Velcro. Where are you going to be? Is 01:53:42 somebody So, if Grills is going to be in the front probably. You want a Kagawa behind you? >> No, I'll go behind Groom Hilden. And uh >> Okay. >> I I'll go last. That way no one can get out of the stairs quickly. And then a cuda third velcro and then zz. >> Okay, gotcha. All right. It's going to be quite jammed up, but here we go. You take So, it's definitely as you go down these stairs, it definitely seems like they go the all four floors and further um maybe an additional like couple of 01:54:23 floors down into the into the basement. So which means that this basement is quite a bit lower than the main part part of the house. >> And we never found the altar. Remember the the note said something about the the the like suggested something about like the altar like he was worshiping. >> But that doesn't mean it's not down in the basement. >> No, no, that's what I mean. We never found it. So maybe it is in the basement. That's what I meant to say. >> Not that note. Um, it's the uh 01:54:56 >> Oh, no. It's this note, isn't it? >> Dashes. >> Uh, however many >> I have not come to lead you on the path to immortality. However many souls you have bled on your hidden altar, >> however many visitors you have tortured in your dungeon, know that you are not the ones who brought me to this beautiful land. >> Yes. >> So, I don't uh Yeah. So, yeah. So is maybe this is and it it seems clear that this note was was for >> Mr. Durst Gust Durst. Yeah. So um it 01:55:28 seems it seems clear that it belonged to him. So this this was Strad talking to him. So yeah, you guys have not seen an altar. You guys haven't seen what was the other thing? >> A dungeon. Although this theoretically could be a dungeon because as you come out of the thing there's a little hallway and that leads into uh sort of a tea intersection in the classic sense um where you have uh from Grug Hill. Grillilda steps out in there and you have left and right. Uh and you can go either of those rays. There also looks 01:55:57 like there's a small passageway leading off here. Maybe another one over here. Uh and this looks like maybe a table in a room down to the south. And are these support pillars or something? >> Sconces. >> They're sconces and they are not lit. >> But there are torches in them. Okay. >> Well, I I can see in the dark. >> Up to you, barbarian. Which way you want to go? >> Well, I think about I'll be >> the idea of going left, but uh I'm open to 01:56:33 >> Yeah. Yeah. Go go go the left side. >> Okay, I'll go left. All right, I'm going slowly and I'm watching for baddies. Oh, we got stairs. Is it stairs? >> Hold right there until Wait till Less comes back. >> Okay, >> if it's stairs, we mark it and we move on to clean this. >> Well, I think I think we want to go >> stairs and then there's a table of some kind. I think a room uh >> where you're at. >> Yeah, to my left. 01:57:08 It looks like stairs down. >> Let's see what Les says when he So, the children uh if you look back at the ghosts of the children, they're still with you. Uh, and they uh they're like, "This is this is where the monster lives. I've never been down here." But we have to save Verina. >> The little boy seems uh he he seems the little boy has not spoken uh and seems very frightened. He he clenches onto the ghostly dress that his sister is wearing uh and sort of hides behind her. 01:57:58 >> She seems the certainly the braver of the two, but even she seems a little freaked out to be down here. You get the impression she I mean she'll physically just tail you. I've never been down here before. This is where the monster lives. I was never allowed. >> We're going to go left. >> All right. You go left. All right. So, Grildilda, you will see over to your left. >> Yes. >> Uh what looks to be a step a set of a short set of steps downward and then uh 01:58:24 some sort of room. There's a table there uh sort of in the in the um in the area there uh with chairs around a wooden table. Tenzen, as you look towards the east, you see uh a little split in the uh um you know in the in the thing like a tea intersection. Uh something uh back there as well. >> Uh let's go Groom Hilda's way first. If there's a little room there, we'll check it first. >> Okay. So, I'll keep going and I'm just I'm going I'm taking my time and being I 01:59:00 have both hands on my sword and I'm looking for anything, you know, and if there's anything that's like >> that needs a hitten, then then we'll hit. Okay. >> Okay. So, as you step down to this room, there's a pungent smell. >> Uh not strong, but definitely >> definitely. Yeah. Cuda, what did you do? Um, but definitely noticeable. Uh, it smells a little bit of decomp. >> Uh, there's a wooden table near the entrance that looks like it's been 01:59:37 burned a little uh uh a little bit. >> Um, there looks like it it looks like there are some tufts of hair >> uh on it that have been burned. It smells a little sulfurous. Uh like and there's little toughs of burnt air on the table. Uh which is odd. Uh as you look around, you can see in certain areas you can see that there are little recesses off this room. And in those recesses are wooden pallets. Um >> yeah, like beds. Uh, in this case, you don't see anything on the beds, but if 02:00:16 you get a closer look, you get the you definitely realize very quickly that the smell that you're that decomposition smell that you're smelling is emanating in large part from those beds. Uh, and to look at them, they're basically they're basically very rudimentary sort of they're almost tables with a cushion of of, you know, like a bag of stuffed stuffed straw on top. And those bags have stains and and just >> Was this a cell of some sort? Is there >> There's no doors on the on those cells. 02:00:49 It looks like there just these tables are sort of tucked into these recesses and the table So it's like a little low table. It's probably 2 feet off the ground is the table part. And on top of the table is a is a is a burlap like a burlap sack, a big burlap sack that has been stuffed with straw. Uh, >> so maybe quarters >> and then on the sack are like the top of the sacks are stained and that's where the the sort of smell of rot is coming off of. >> Yeah. I want So this could have been an 02:01:24 old barracks or something. >> Do we? >> Maybe. I guess. Yeah. I mean it's hard to tell. >> Was it like blood? >> Might be the jailer. >> Yeah. Blood and other other fluids. >> Could be. So it could be that he was torturing people and then they were too incapacitated to even try to escape and so he was letting them rest and then torturing them again repeatedly >> or that's a lot of people to torture. >> Could be the torturer's chambers. 02:01:55 >> Yeah. Oh, that's true. >> There's no there's no doors. I mean there's these aren't cells. There's no doors. They're just they're just opening. So and you don't you know what else you don't see is like manicles or ropes or anything like that. >> Be like the guard's chamber. Yeah, that's what I said. It could be, but >> yes, but >> there's another set of stairs over here down. >> Yeah. Okay. All right. I'll go first. 02:02:15 >> Okay. >> Oh, I guess I need to press option to so that I don't >> Alt let you leave your character where you want. >> Um, >> press alt. When you press alt, move them. Press >> alt or option. >> Okay, that's fine. >> Yeah, if you hold down alt and then you move, you can you can do it. All right. So, there's another little steps going downward >> and it opens up into a fairly large a much larger room. The hardest part of this place, not hardest, um, 02:02:50 uh, is the the most notable thing that you see is in the middle of this room, you see what looks to be an old subterranean well. >> There's a there's a there's a stone circle. It's about a foot off the ground. Um, and then there's a little like gantry built on top of it. Uh, you don't see any buckets or anything, but there's a rope going down. >> Are those all sconces in the middle of that floor or are those little support pillars? >> Those are little support pillars. Little 02:03:20 wooden pillars. >> Okay. That's what's going around the the the other rooms, too. >> Yeah, I think you're right. Sorry. >> Okay. No, no problem. I'm just like, man, they really like their torches. >> Oh, look. Now, here's a little bedroom, but it's much nicer. >> So, as you get down here, um, you know, you see they they are nicer. The they do seem to be unused, but again, that decomposition smell. If anything, it's stronger in these little rooms. Uh, if 02:03:49 you pull back the covers, you can see that the sheets, which are very old, are also quite stained as well. The blankets hide it from obvious view, but in everyone you pull back. >> Well, the only the only thing that the thing that comes is something very very bad happened here. So, can I is there anything can I see anything that might indicate like um who stayed here like their station or >> arena, >> their race or >> what what if this was >> the beds the beds are big enough to hold 02:04:24 a normal humansized person. >> What if this was the place they were bringing people leaving them in the room and the creature would come kill them later? coming up from the >> the well. >> Not from the well, from wherever. This was just a >> Oh, yeah. We've got accommodations for you. Stick you in the room. >> Yeah, but how are you going to get them down here? Through the secrets the door. This is >> the creature's probably down here already. They bring 02:04:54 >> No, but how are you going to get visitors to >> Not necessarily visitors. Arena. She thinks she's in a room without a cell door, >> right? Did you get an arena? >> Uh Les, I'm going to step forward and check that chest that's right there. >> Pop it open. Yeah, it's empty. Uh and dusty. Uh it doesn't look like anybody's put anything in there for a long time. But again, the pallets and these are the even though these rooms are better accuted than the the the the just the 02:05:26 the ones that you saw in the other room, the ones that had stains on the burlap and that kind of stuff, very rudimentary kind of things. It would did not look these these it did not look like they were built at all for comfort. In this case, you might be able these beds are better constructed. Um, and you might I mean, you could certainly expect that these would be more comfortable uh than whatever it is was going on in the other room. Those pallets, these are better constructed. They look like they 02:05:58 were all constructed of the same stuff. And each of these rooms has a bed um and uh and a and a chest. >> Does does um does this smell like water? >> Uh take a whiff. Give me a perception check. >> What'd you roll? >> Eight. One. >> A natural one. Yeah. You don't smell any water down there. There's a rope that's hanging down, but it gets pretty dark very quickly down there and you can't see it. You can't see the bottom, >> right? >> Well, I think 02:06:35 >> I mean, theoretically, you could crank it up and see if there's any if the if the rope is wet, if there's a bucket on the end of that thing. >> Yeah. Yeah, you could do that. >> Uh Cuda asks if he could fit in the Well, probably. Yeah, >> I don't think that's a good idea. >> Okay. Um making him a little I think >> I see. >> Could it be a day for Giants? >> Uh it could be a betday for Giants. Yeah. >> Or a night. >> So Auda Akuda, you're going to you're 02:07:08 going to you're going to start cranking the Well, so yeah, it takes you a second to sort of get this cranking. It'll look like it's been used for a very long time. Uh, but as you finally you sort of kind of like force it and it's kind of like ratcheting up. Um, as you do it, there does seem to be some weight uh on the on the bottom of the rope cuz it's it's it's hanging down. Um, and as you finally it takes you it takes you a minute, but you finally get it to the top, there is an old sort of desiccated 02:07:38 wooden bucket with a single iron band around it that's hooked to the rope. It's got a little It's got a little handle on it that's tied to the rope. Um, but it does not have any water in it. That that uh that bucket is is dry. In fact, it's so dry that some of the staves of the bucket are are cracking a little bit. >> No, the rope neither the rope nor the bottom of the bucket is wet. >> Okay. >> All right. Well, we have stairs going up. >> Yeah. >> Yep. 02:08:07 >> So, shall we just keep going along the path? >> Keep going. >> Okay. And I'm not seeing it's dusty, but I'm not seeing any um >> um >> foot traffic >> footprints or anything. Am I? >> It's not as dusty as upstairs in the house. >> Um although the sto the the walls and the floors are made of stone and they have these wooden pillars sort of like, you know, uh holding things up. It doesn't uh it's not it's not really dusty down here. Not in the way not in 02:08:39 the sense that um it was upstairs. and cobwebs like no one has gone through. >> Not really. Yeah. >> I um >> Well um >> I got a bad feeling about this. >> When's the last time you'd had a good feeling? >> Grewilda, give me a quick perception check. >> 18. All right. So, as you approach that, you have you have some uh um uh you have some stairs going down and some stairs going up. Uh to the east, it's very faint, but you thought you thought that you heard 02:09:27 someone whispering. Maybe two someone's maybe more than one someone. Hey. All righty. >> Uh, we could have, uh, Cuda sneak up and see if he sees anything. >> I I will. >> Oh, okay. >> That's that that's my job. Um, to the east, >> it's like down these little >> this direction right here. >> Oh, that way. >> Yes. >> All right. Let's I'm going to use Hold on a minute. You know You know what? I have not been doing at all is is 02:10:06 >> stealth. >> Okay. >> I've been chopping around. I'm a thief. >> Okay. I'm going to use stealth and I'm going to advance and do a little scouting. >> Um and I'm gonna roll. All right. Roll a stealth check. >> Um >> 19. Okay. >> Let me just uh I'm just going to roll a couple of dice here. You know, just pay no attention to it. do and um hold on a sec. I see uh some wooden boards. >> Wait a second. >> Hang on. >> But you may see more than that. 02:10:48 >> I see some wooden boards. I see some bones. Um I'm using stealth though, right? >> Uh yeah. So you go So you're peering over that way. >> Yeah. >> Okay. appearing to the northeast. >> All right. So, in there you see a couple of things. You look in there, you look like every step >> is covered with crushed bone. As you as you sort of near in there, you can see that um uh you know, when you step in, it sort of like almost poofs up like a little powder. 02:11:24 >> Uh and you but it definitely feels like bone because you can see other bones sort of scattered around. You can see what look to be skeletons. Some of them still have like goblets of meat on them. Uh, and you can smell, you know, it smells like blood in here. Flesh. >> Um, there's a there's a broken table and a couple of smashed benches um in there. >> Oh, great. Just great. Um, >> Kruilda. Um, hold on. Let me, uh, let me just do this real quick. One, one second. Uh, just pay no attention to 02:12:04 the, uh, the dice rolls. Really, >> we're not seeing dice rolls last. >> Completely uh, unoured there. So, nothing happening. >> What are What are you doing? >> Uh, Gruilda, can you give me a quick perception check? >> Uh, oh, I got a bad feeling about this. Uh 18. Okay. One second. So you're sort of looking at you um you're sort of looking down uh that way. Uh and you're looking to see uh you know sort of like looking into the distance see where Kudawa went. Kudawa turned 02:12:44 left and then suddenly you see a creature run across there in the same direction as a Kurugawa. Oh no. >> Oh my god. >> Hey, can I can I >> looks like this? >> Jesus. >> That looks like the doll's creator. >> Why is everybody picking on me? >> You're the one in front >> also. But wasn't I doing stealth? >> Let's >> No, obviously that 21, not stealth. You're 19. >> Let's Let's Let's roll for an ish. Why 02:13:19 not? just to just to sort of separate things out because you know this this guy's probably just going to eat a kudawa. >> I'm just a goblin. >> Oh damn, that's bad. >> Oh man, >> you're kind of caught in the middle. >> There we go. >> Raging. >> Wow, that's a creepy creepy. >> We need to get you some uh therapy. >> Yes. >> Oh, yeah. Eventually. Yeah. Alba has nothing to rough. >> She's always raging. >> Power. 02:13:55 >> She's always raging. You can have sacred rage aholics anonymous. >> That's it. >> Yeah. >> All right, everybody in. >> I think so. >> All right, let's start. All right, the thing. So, the thing just so Grillild the basically that creature and it's a humanoid looking creature, but it's looking a little funky, too, cuz just ran across there into the hallway that Kudawa just went down. Um, as it as you're like, "Hey, uh, you see at the 02:14:22 far end of the hallway, >> does she call out?" >> Uh, it's up to her. >> Okay. >> Yeah. >> No, keep it secret. >> Another one sort of steps out >> and looks at you. You can see it's like, >> "Oh jeez, another one." >> But it's your turn, Giller. What do you do? >> Another What? So I see the all yell that there are two. One, two, three, four, five. I cannot get to the second one. So one, two, three, four, five. I can get 02:14:57 to the first one. So I will move. It's unfortunately not flanking and I will strike. >> Okay. >> The guy in front of me. >> Gotcha. Do I have intimidating strike or do I just have >> No, I don't have Oh, right. >> Friendly. Friendly strike. >> Yes. Okay. Have a >> What is that? 25. Let me check and see what these farts rolled. >> All right. Uh, so that is not quite It is a It's definitely a hit, but it's not quite a crit. So, um, so seven points of 02:15:38 damage. So you come down >> 10 damage. 10 damage >> plus 10. >> Oh, cuz you're raging. Uh so yeah. So you reach up behind it and it's like as you know as it uh kind of looks backward and you hit it pretty hard. I mean you slash it uh and it and it it lets out a Whoops. No, no, no. >> Yay. Killed it right out. >> No. Uh so it's it it lets out a like a yow. Uh almost like a like if you like when you step on a cat, you know, that kind of thing as it looks around at you and you can see, you know, 02:16:09 it's just it's a disgust. It was once maybe human, >> but uh now is something less than human. It's >> okay. Well, I'm going to hit >> covered in soores. Uh and uh you know, its teeth are filed down to points. >> All right. So, this is >> Let me try to see him a second time. Okay, >> that just barely hits. So, yeah, another sixp. So, as you're like, you leave my friend alone and you pull it, you know, and you bring it and you bury that bastard sword right in it and it falls 02:16:42 backwards with this sort of black kind of goo and eye core pouring out of a slash in its chest. >> Falls backwards against the wall. >> That's all I can >> slides down in a puddle of its own disgusting endrails. What? Nice. Um, that just scared the hell out of me. >> Uh, Auda, it's your turn. What do you do? >> I think the doll was worse. >> There's one behind me. >> I um I go I look at what just happened and I go, >> got to practice my stealth a little 02:17:20 better. >> So, and that is, you know, honest. And uh so um I'm an honest little thief. Um uh honor among thieves. I'm going to draw, >> which was never said once. I'm an honest thief. >> Um I'm going to draw my dog slicer. And I'll say um Hilda, where did you say the o the other? Wait, what is this thing? And >> I don't know. It's dead. >> Looks like a ghoul. I'm an honest liar. >> Looks like it might be a ghoul. >> A ghoul. Are there more ghouls around 02:18:02 here? >> Yes. >> Behind me. >> Then Okay, I'm going to run to here. And uh I see him. >> Yep. He's right there. >> Great. I'm >> You can see like a roomy kind of yellowish drool is coming out of >> Okay, I'm not going to charge forward. I'm not a frontline guy. I'm gonna Actually, I'm going to move to here. >> Okay. >> And I'm going to get ready cuz if that ghoul comes and attacks my friend um Gruinhilda, I'm going to backstab it. 02:18:40 >> Oh, this is funny. >> Okay. Uh All right. So, that's you're just going to move into the way and you sort of You've got a couple more actions left. >> Oh, really? >> Three action economy. You just moved. I always forget that I I have three because it's Pathfinder 2. Well, if I have um Oh, the place is crawling with them. Uh jeez, bunch of >> ghoul crawling with them. >> I see another ghoul. >> He sees you. >> All right, great. Um Les, I I I'm not 02:19:14 fully sure of my freedom of movement. Can I uh >> use an alt key? Hold down the alt key and you should be able to move. >> Allow it to run up to a ghoul and hit it with my great then. Holy moly. As okay, a bunch of ghouls here. I'm going to hit this one here. >> Uh, >> okay. You going to give it a strike. All right. Go for it. >> Here we go. Dog slicer attack number one. Uh, >> you only get one attack because you moved two times. >> Yes, sir. >> Uh, attack is 15 and that is a miss. 02:19:48 >> Okay. These guys are tough, too. >> They are tough ghouls. >> I might have to turn and flee cuz uh I'm going to yell. I yell out, "Got two ghouls down here in the south. I might get the hell out of here." >> All right. Uh All right. But your turn is over because it is now Zezy's turn. >> Well, I hear some shouting and >> Oh, yeah. >> And I from where I was standing, I can see it breaking. >> The shouts would have sounded like it 02:20:16 was coming from here. Well, that's what I'm saying. I see it breaks through to that room, so I'm going to move that way. >> Okay, >> that's one move. And I see a dead ghoul. >> And >> well, no, it's on the other side. There's a wall there. >> It's on the other side of the wall. That's >> the doorway is here. If you >> I'll go there. So, that's one move. Okay. >> And I'll go through. One, two. I see a dead ghoul and 02:20:43 >> and and a angry dwarf standing over. an angry dwarf and and I tell you, calm down. Calm down. >> Behind me. >> Behind you. Okay, so that was 10 20 30. That's second move. And I see another ghoul there. >> Yeah, he's and he's charging essentially. He's coming right at >> Gotcha. Um I I'm going to take a five-foot step. I already have my shield action. If you look back, I did that before the whole thing. >> Okay. I can't get to it to hit it. Um, 02:21:17 so >> is that is that your three? >> Well, that'll be my three because that's the start of three. I would have 25 more feet to move, but you know, I can't move and hit. So, >> Gotcha. Okay. Well, you could get you could close that distance and block him because he >> I'm kind of blocking him anyway, but if I stay where I am, then I'm guessing uh uh the barbarian will also be able to strike at it as me. >> Oh, gotcha. >> You know what I'm saying? Instead of 02:21:46 blocking off the whole corridor. >> Gotcha. Okay. All right. Uh next up is Velcro. Velcro. What do you do? You just saw uh Zezy Top uh crunch down those stairs going the other way. You can definitely hear a lot of commotion. Uh, Akudagawa is is yelling a lot. >> Do I hear a ruckus? >> So, I hear a ruckus. >> Yeah, definitely a goblin focused ruckus. >> Can you describe the ruckus? >> Uh, so is it coming from the north and east because I saw a passageway that way 02:22:19 or is it coming from the south and east? >> Well, so Xanderas went >> Yeah, probably both way. Zandarius went up here east. He went down that hallway, >> but Tanzen is right from here. Probably more of the noise is going this way. You did see Grillild to go running down that way, as did Audawa. >> All right, I'm running south. S Of >> South Suf. Go for it. >> That's fine. >> Okay, use your all key because this map is a pain in the neck. >> 20. And then is this is that a ghoul? 02:22:54 Uh, it's definitely a ghoul. >> All right, I guess what can I do against undead? >> I don't know. >> What can you do? >> Uh, I'll try to disrupt undead. Oh, here we go. My character sheet doesn't work. That's great. It's so fun to be non functional. >> But is that is that a is is that a DC Uh, yeah. So, 174C. I'm trying to post it here. I don't even know how to post. It's so fun not to be comprehended. Um, >> so disrupt undead is the is the cantrip. 02:23:51 Um, >> okay. Oh, there we go. >> Disrupt result three. Okay, let's check that out because I'm not sure what that's supposed to mean. Um, Oops. >> I don't either. >> They won't be able to see normal broadcast television. >> Oh, is that It does three damage. Now I think it's a disrupting effect. >> Oh, in this case it's called Does it say disrupt undead on yours? Because mine says vitality lash. >> Yeah, it says disrupt undead on his. 02:24:34 >> You lance your target with energy. It's it's two actions. >> Yep. >> Uh disrupt. You lance the target with energy. Deal 2d6 vitality damage. Target must make a fort save. If it fa if it critically fails a save, it's also in field. >> Okay. Can you post? >> Yeah, here it's called vitality. Uh >> yeah, but I I really don't know how to do that. >> Vitality lash. >> Okay, >> Mr. Bowman, can you post it? >> I can't. 02:25:03 >> So, who? >> Nothing's working for me, guys. I got to copy and paste like [ __ ] word document. >> So, you're vitality lashing this ghoul here, right? The one straight ahead of you. Okay, cool. So, I need to make a fort save, which I will do >> now. Uh, one one moment. >> Can you guys see my dice roll result, though? Is that Is that We see your dice roll. >> Yeah, we see the dice roll. >> I rolled a three on 2d6. I'm going to freaking crap. [ __ ] it. 02:25:34 >> All right. Uh, 15. What's the DC on you? It's 17. Okay. So, I did not make it. >> Wait. >> So, how much? Three points of damage. All right. >> Are they by >> that? So much for me being a cleric. I'm I'm turning into a paladin next week. >> Are they vulnerable to um to um what is that like divine or >> vitality? >> Well, not vulnerable, but they it definitely harmed him. Uh so in this case, it vitality lash is specific against uh against is is specifically 02:26:08 targeted against undead. So um so in this case, yeah, it definitely hurt him. Okay, I got five for four minute movement. I want to go here and >> protect myself, my shield, my shield of my robes. >> Okay, hold up. Hold down your alt key to make sure you're in the middle of things. >> Center yourself. >> The grid doesn't line up. >> Well, I can't like >> You got to hold down the alt key while you move. >> Oh, really? >> Yeah. >> Is that a new thing? 02:26:37 >> No. >> No. >> All right, I'm go right here. You're going to run up all you can >> I thought vitality was a two action. >> Oh, yeah. It's a two action spell and you already moved. >> So, you already moved. Yeah, >> I know. That was a joke. >> Oh, okay. Gotcha. Okay. >> DM says I got to move. So, I just moved up to the next guy. Okay. >> All right. Ghoul attack. Well, this ghoul rushes against you. Z top. He's going to attack you. And then this 02:27:01 ghoul. >> By the way, my grid my grids are all screwed up. So, I'm >> Yeah, mine are >> No. No. All the grids. all the grid screwed up because this I did the best I could with what I had. This map does not confine itself well to the to the grid. So, um >> I tried to keep all the hallways 5 foot wide because it's tight down here. So, but it just doesn't it doesn't match very well. Um >> so, uh in this case, hold on. He's going to go one, two, three. What 02:27:35 is their speed? Hold on. I got to check the speed. 25 ft. Uh, two, three, four, five. One, two, three, four, five. >> Uh, Grildilda, there's another ghoul coming out of there. >> Jeez. >> Where are they coming from? >> Well, this one is coming come came from somewhere connected to that bone room. >> Oh, okay. coming from Ghoul Town. >> Yeah. And its tongue kind of lols out of its mouth as it's like, you know, it's obviously, you know, it's drooling all 02:28:12 over its teeth and its chin. They're obviously hungry. Uh, but two of them are going to attack. One will attack Zezy and the other will attack Akudagawa. So, here it is. >> Uh, and they get multiple attacks, too. So, their first attack, actually, you know what? They're going to attack these. They're just going to try and bite. They're not going to They're not going to fancy it up. Oh, actually they'll get they'll do Well, their first attack will be their >> do do the regular attacks. 02:28:41 >> Yeah. >> I think if I got multiple attacks to be fair. >> Yeah. So, uh they've both moved. Oh, no. The one next to you, Akudagawa, did not move. So, he's going to do multiple attacks probably. >> That was the other reason I didn't move up. >> All right. So, the Zindarius, this one's going to attack you. His first attack is natural one. All right. Let's let's let's see. I mean 26 would hit you. >> A 26 would hit me. Yes. >> Okay. So his teeth snap on air 02:29:11 >> as he tries to >> No, he fumbled. He was seeing if it was a critical fumble. >> Fumbles, but yeah, I wanted to see if it was a chart if it was chartw worthy, but it's not. Uh, so he's done. Uh, the other one. So Auda, >> this thing tries to bite you. >> 19 hit you. >> It does. >> That is so bad. Yeah, you're probably gonna poison the ghoul. Auda, you know, gobble. >> You just get bit by a ghoul, dude. >> Oh, max damage. He got a hold of you. 02:29:41 >> Oh, boy. >> He must be really hungry. You're like chicken wings. >> He's going to try and claw you >> on his second attack. >> Uh, and miss. Oh, wait. No, that's a d. Sorry. Taking it back. Second attack is a 12. That's going to miss. And then third attack is >> do they have minuses on their attacks? They do the same. >> All their sequence. Yeah. Sequence. Yeah. Basically the short the short version is for every subsequent attack you take, you take five off of your 02:30:12 role. >> Oh, gotcha. Okay. >> So, all right. So, he didn't get anything. The one is too. Well, he's just going to uh Well, that would not be strategic, but they're not really strategic guys. So, he's just >> strategizers. >> Yeah. He's going to run up against Grudhilda Grillil Guggilda, but he can't attack because that would be his third movement action to get back to where he was. So that is I think I don't know. >> He's standing on the bones of his 02:30:39 brother. >> Yes, he doesn't care. He'll probably eat him later if you let him. Tens, you're up. >> Okay. >> You hear a sound of disgust from Drew Gilda off in the distance >> at the thought of a ghoul eating another ghoul. I can pass through uh Velcro space. Correct. >> That is correct. >> 5 10 15 20 25 would put me here. Um I can move a second time. Correct. >> Up to three times if you >> three three uh uh three action economy. This is different from regular 02:31:13 Pathfinder. So yeah, you can for each one of those actions you can do all kinds of you know sort of things. Now some things cost more actions, but >> I'm going to move to there. >> Okay. right by Akudagawa. >> Yeah. And for for my final action, I'm going to um assume my stance, the mountain stance to increase my armor class. >> Does that take an action to do that? That's not >> just a single action. >> Yeah. >> All right. Increases his armor class 02:31:40 with the mountain with the wide mountain stance. All right. That's the first round. Second round uh starts off with Grilda right there. That guy is right on top. He's he's gonna try and bite you. I'm gonna try and hit him. >> All right, here it comes. >> Attack 117. That is a hit. >> Oh, well that's >> 58 damage. >> Yes, >> there we go. >> Oh. Oh, >> let out a >> as it rears backward. Kind of cringes backwards from the sword. 02:32:13 >> Okay, let me try again. Oh, 16. >> 16 is a miss. Did you? Yeah, that is a miss. So, pretty much telegraphing them. >> Well, I'm gonna just try to You never know. Try >> the third time. >> May as well. >> Here it comes. Negative two. >> All right. So, >> that's a natural one. So, uh I need you to roll to see if that So, that might be a fumble. >> What do I do? A 20 or do I do the three again? >> Normal attack. >> Three again. Yeah. 02:32:45 >> Oh, just a normal attack. Okay. >> Oh, no. Is it the three? I'm sorry. Oh. Uh, well, it it doesn't matter because it would be the same attack from now on. It's the same. >> Oh, okay. You want me to hit the three? >> Sure. Yeah. Let's let's get it. All right. Seven. So, that is a confirmed fumble. >> Oh, no. >> And a melee. Let's go to the chart, shall we? >> I bet you she took her hands off her sword. >> Okay. Uh, too much stuff. You become 02:33:15 entangled in your gear. >> Oh, no. To recover, you must spend a standard. You must spend an action to free yourself from your stuff. >> Actually, it's her beard she got tangled in. >> It might be my beard. My beard. The braids. They're so lovely. >> They are lovely. Let's just have a look again. Yep. Yeah, I think you got tangled in those guys. >> Yeah. >> So, all right. So, yeah. So, uh one hit, but then you uh you missed and then got tangled up in your gear. So, uh, that 02:33:44 would luckily it's at the you it's only going to cost you an action and luckily it happened at the end of your attack, uh, as opposed to the beginning because that would have stopped you cold. But now it is a cudagawa's turn. A cuda, this thing just bit you hard and you're a little worried because >> don't they carry some sort of disease? >> Oh no, >> goblins are known to carry diseases. >> You know, well, so then we're going to have to have a disease off. Ghoul fever 02:34:10 versus whatever whatever Auda has. disease off. Oh man, what a situation. I'm not even sure what I can do right now. Um, stealth didn't work. Um, I'm ah, >> better defend your life. >> I was >> run away. >> I'm gonna have to run away, I think. >> Well, there's another ghoul right behind that guy. >> That That's Yeah, you know what? >> So, there's two ghouls in that hallway. behind the orc behind you. >> You good? Yeah. >> Only if that orc lets him. 02:34:51 >> At this point, it's up to the orc. >> I'm going to try to acrobatic my way out of there and jump back to here. >> So, you don't have to acrobatics. You could pass. As long as Tensen is willing to let you go through, >> he can pass her. >> Okay. >> Thank you so much, Tenson. I I appreciate you. How tall are you, Tensson? >> Seven foot. >> Seven foot. And how tall are you, Akudagawa? >> How tall? Three and a half feet, I guess. >> All right. So, you probably just like 02:35:19 right underneath him. >> Like through his through his legs. He's in a He's in mountain stance. You probably can just scoot right under there. >> I mean, I'm about the size of a hobbit. So, that's about the roughly the size of a five-year-old human child. >> Oh, yeah. Yeah, you could definitely run between. >> It all depends. A tomb Bowman 5-year-old child, a normal 5-year-old child. >> Well, well, we're not talking thigh size Tom. Gotcha. >> All right. So, he scoots underneath 02:35:51 tenzin. Uh, and that's a I mean, it's he lets you pass through, so you can go just as far as you want. You don't have to do any of that. >> Great. Now, um I What? What? Boy, cuz I've lost a lot of hit points. I'm kind of woozy. Um, >> Velcro, make sure you kill kill Auda. He's gonna turn into a >> ghoul a ghoul behind us. >> Um, and I'm going to run over to >> bring back the barbarian. He's easier to deal with >> probably. Really? 02:36:23 >> Well, we're going to have a rabid goblin here in a little while and then I I will just wrap up rapid go. You know that like that. Um, >> so that's basically one move for you right there. >> Yeah. >> Uh, >> you still got two actions if you like. >> Two actions left. I mean, I'm not sure what really I can do. I'm not really your frontline fighter kind of guy. And if I behind role play, you'd be going to the cleric. Oh my god. Save me. >> Yeah, Velcro's right there. 02:36:54 >> Okay. >> I'll say, hey, um, hey boss. Uh, gobble. I I'm >> irrgate my wound. Irrigate my wound. I'll be down here forever. >> On me. Um, I don't know. Um. >> Oh, man. >> Well, you know what? It probably lees. Do I feel like I'm being poisoned or diseased now? >> No idea yet. The guy the guy got a hell of a bite out of you. I mean, it it's it's bleeding pretty significantly. Uh although not a persistent bleed as it were uh under the mechanics of the game, 02:37:28 but yeah, he got he took a chunk out of you. >> All right, I got it. Well, you know what? >> But you don't feel sick. Only >> Okay, I'm not gonna uh um >> Not yet. >> I I've got to have my dog sicer ready. I'm gonna move to here. And if there are any more ghouls coming from You know what is Can I go around? >> Yeah, absolutely. You can pass. Yeah. As long as Velcro is going to let you go past there, you can go past. >> How How far up here can I go? 02:38:01 >> Yeah. >> Uh, well, you you have What's your speed? >> 5 10 15 20 25 5 10 15 20 25 I think you're faster than 25. Maybe I'm wrong. >> I don't think he is. I think 25. >> You got five feet more if you like. >> I'll go to here and I I'm going to get ready sneak up on a ghoul and do a backstab. That's the best I can do. Um if I do a backstab, that's gonna really um >> They're undead. They don't have vitals, remember? 02:38:40 >> Yeah, they might. Yeah. Uh, I don't know that they are immune to precision damage. >> Okay. >> I don't think they I don't think they are. They're immune to bleed. Uh, but I think I think you can still I think you can still do precision damage to them. I think you >> um There's one way to find out. >> Yep. >> That's right. >> That's right. All right. All right. That's a Kudagawa. Uh, Zandarius ghoul in front of you looks hungry. 02:39:03 >> I'll start start whacking at him. >> All right. Do it. What are you hitting him with? What's your What's your >> neck spplitter? All right. >> Uh 18 is a hit. Five. Slashing demage. >> He did not like that. >> Yeah, I guess not. >> Uh 24. Did you uh Oh, that is attack number two. So 24 is also a hit. So nine points of damage. That's He's struggling. I mean, you're cutting him to ribbons. >> Chances are I won't hit him with this 02:39:35 third one, but >> headbutt. Headbutt. Headbutt. >> Anybody can roll a 20. Uh, nine is a miss. >> All right. Uh, but you are. Yeah, he's still up, but uh he's he's losing a lot of fluids. >> He's feeling it. >> Yeah, he's definitely feeling it. All right, Velcro. You just saw Akuragawa kind of like pass by you. Uh you heard vague sounds of some it sounded like in Goblin uh as he ran past. Um but yeah, uh Xanderas, it looks like Xanderas, Gruggilda both fighting goblins. uh 02:40:08 within probably 15 ft of where you're standing. >> Uh ghouls, not goblins. >> Yeah, in the old days I used to be able to turn on dead man like a >> Yeah, they kind of gotten rid of that. >> I think they got rid of it, but let me let me double check. >> There's no turn on dead, but like there's got to be some sort of like mass. >> You could Yeah, the heel. >> Oh, yeah. >> Look under heel. >> I I'll I'll I'll I'll put that up for 02:40:34 you. >> Was it Is it individual or is it like a radius? It can be >> if you take all three actions, it can be. >> So, they do have a there is a second level feat. There's a second level feat called panic the dead. >> Uh, vitality strikes terror in the in the undead when you use a heal spell to damage undead. Any undead that fails is also frightened one. All right. So, you have the feet that >> I don't have that but I I do have heal, right? >> Thanks, Tom. Yeah. 02:41:04 >> If the target is undead, you deal that amount of vitality tage and it gets a basic fort. All right. So, are you doing this? >> Well, I got I got to see what I can see. Like, is it >> Where is it? The 30 foot ammonation. >> Yeah. >> Can you get all of them with the 30 foot? >> Well, he can get some of them. >> Uh, I don't know. He gets some of them. I think >> it would be blocked. It would be blocked by that. He'd have to be there to do it. 02:41:28 >> Well, that's only one action. No, no, that's 30 foot emanation, right? So, >> well, so I have a range spell, too. So, >> it's 30 foot from you, isn't it? It's an You are the one emanating. Yeah. >> Yeah, but I got reach. So, let me >> goddamn complications here. >> The bottom one might not get it. The one near Tenzen may not. >> Hold on. Let's see. >> Let's see what a 30 foot. >> That's 25. That's 25 ft. 02:41:56 >> Hold on. You might want to add 30 here. But like I said, he would have to be there. >> I don't think he has to be direction. I think it's just >> he can get So I I made him I made him a 30 foot emanation. >> That's big. >> I got reach spell. >> Wow. What is that? >> Is that even a pudgawa would get the heal? >> You can extend the ranger spells if the next action. >> No, he can either heal or he can attack undead. Yeah, but John, you can't do 02:42:25 that and do a three action spell in the same turn. >> I think a two action, right? >> If you read it, Gwen, it says to heal the living or damage the undead. >> Y, >> this targets all living and undead creatures in the burst. >> So, I'll take two action. >> Channel the energy to heal the living or damage the undead. >> If you do all three, pick one or the other. >> Unless he does all three, then he can do both. So that's that's reach right there 02:42:52 where I just posted. >> Gotcha. Okay. So you So but yeah, if you So if you're doing the two action version of heal to hurt undead, it's a single target. You don't get everybody. But yeah, it'll send if the spell has a range of 30 ft, you can use reach. You can extend it to 60 feet. >> Oh, target one living or one undead. Okay. Well, [ __ ] that. >> But if you do three action, I think you'll get a lot of them. >> Yeah, you will. You'll get a bunch of 02:43:15 them. Maybe. Well, yeah. You mean like >> I mean there's no doors, right? >> Are you telling me to cast three different heals? >> No. >> No, it's just take all three actions. >> Your turn. Your whole turn is that just that spell. >> Yes. Three three action heal. Look on the on the thing where it says one action, two action. >> Right at the very bottom it says that. But >> no, but like the target is only one creature. >> No, it's radius 02:43:45 eination. the targets. All living and undead creatures are in the burst. So everybody in that burst if you're >> So yeah, Gwen is right. If you do three actions, it affects everything. >> Correct. >> No. >> Yes. >> It's all singular. >> Read read the very bottom. Three actions concentrate. >> It's an area of effect. >> Oh, the Okay, I see what you're saying. Yeah. And it does. And so I think uh I think the last end it targets all living 02:44:18 and undead creatures. So it will heal people too >> some effect. >> So Akudagawa is in it right? >> Correct. >> Yes he is barely but he is. >> But it'll be a one die one die eight I believe is what >> all healing and damage will be. >> Yeah it will be 1d8. >> There's no modifiers for my wisdom or anything like that. Right. >> I don't not for this. No. Uh, >> hey guys. I freaking love this system, but I don't have time. I don't have like 02:44:48 $40 a day to like study all the [ __ ] rules. >> That's okay. Just kidding. We're going as we're as less is for. >> Oh my god, there's like I feel like I'm playing advanced squad leader back in 1989. >> It's just You know what? It's going to get easier. It's just new to 385. >> Yeah, it's new to you. It's new to a a lot of people here. New to me. All right. >> I'm gonna roll one d8. >> Yep. All right. And you're getting 02:45:15 everybody. >> So, if you're wounded, you get three back. And if you're undead, you take >> Let me go look at my Let me go look at my features and see if I can add anything. Uh, I'll be back in like three hours. >> Okay. >> I don't think that's the case, but that's okay. >> I needed that. >> All right. So, my fort save is plus four. So, I have to make I have to be 14. Now, is your DC still a 17? >> It's always 17. >> Well, Mr. Bones. Oh, that's 02:45:45 >> Oh, that's yours. Okay. Got it. All right. So, uh, so I'm going to go from bottom to top. One, >> two. So, one didn't make it. What happens if they make the save? >> Infeoot emanation that targets all living undead creatures in the burst. Yeah, basic saving throw though. I think it's half >> one willing creature or undead creature change vital energy. I don't see where it says anything for >> it gets a basic saving fortitude saving throw. Is that all it says? 02:46:22 >> Yeah, >> no damage half. So, a basic saving throw. No damage on a crit success. Half damage on a success, full damage on a fail, double damage on a crit fail. >> Okay. >> So, in this case, I don't if the DC is 17, then it's not a crit success. So, half damage. So, he takes two. Uh, so I'll do that. And then he takes to full four because he made that. He did not make his save. And then now the one next to Grildilda did not make his save. So, he takes four. And then the one next to Xandelus 02:46:57 >> didn't make his save. He would take eight. He Oh, >> no. No. >> Four points. He rolled eight. >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> So, he didn't make his save. And that's going to be enough. He only had two hit points left, so that's going to be enough to kill him. >> Yeah, that's that's that's good. >> I think that's it. >> Now, these guys, I mean, >> that's all of them in in range. >> I don't know ghouls, but didn't they 02:47:19 start off as dead? >> They start off as alive. >> Yeah. >> Oh, they were alive. Okay. >> Yeah. A ghoul is is a person who is typically to make a ghoul, you need to be bit by another ghoul and then you succumb to something called ghoul fever. Uh it's a disease that ghouls pass along to to the living. Ultimately, it kills them and when they die, they come back as another ghoul. >> And Eric, you got four hit points back. >> He put them back. >> Thank you. 02:47:52 >> All right. Uh >> hopefully that also eradicates. >> No, only if you're willing. >> Hopefully that eradicates the ghoul fever, too. >> All right. So, uh All right. Uh full attack on Grug Gilda by this ghoul who's still alive. All right. So, he's going to try and bite you. >> 22. I think that's got I think you got a bite on you. >> That's a hit, but it's not a crit. >> Okay. Five points bite damage. >> Okay, so my attempts. 02:48:26 >> He's gonna try and bite you again. >> Savage some meat out of you. >> Holy crap. >> Guys, I have an announcement. >> Yeah, >> meatthead and his wife got stabbed in their house in LA. >> Yeah, >> Rob Reiner. >> Reiner. >> Yeah, I saw that. >> It's horrifying. >> It's horrifying. >> That's terrible. >> Sorry to interrupt, but I didn't want to like hold off. That's crazy. Uh, all right. So, he missed that last one and 02:48:53 the final one. >> Yeah, you have to be of a certain age to even get that. Uh, and then a four for miss. So, he got the bite, but that's all he got off you. Um, >> okay. >> Tenzen, >> I'm sorry. Go ahead. >> Do I need to put something on me to indicate that I might turn into a ghoul? >> No. >> Uh, well, we'll just keep an eye on you. Uh, start look a little peeking. Um, all right. So, Tenzen, this one is going to move. They're both going to move. Uh, 02:49:21 and then this one is going to use its attacks on you. So, it's going to try and bite you. >> Uh, 19 hit you, Tenson. >> That's my armor class. >> Ooh, then that's a bite. You've gotten bit for three points of damage. >> Oh, no. >> All right. And now it's next attack. As it as it's done biting, it's going to claw you. >> Oh, okay. >> It still gets the second one. That's it, though. Yeah, he still does get a second. Yes. >> Yeah. Uh 10. 02:49:50 >> Uh all right. So that is I believe it for the Ghoulage. Uh and then finally, bottom of the order is Tenson. Uh to wrap it will probably wrap things up for tonight. Tensson, what are you going to do? >> Uh let me minus the uh >> he's going to succumb to the ghoul damage and jump on the go slot. >> Minus three. Okay. Um I haven't tried this yet. >> Okay. But I'm gonna trip him. >> My attack is a trip. >> Okay. >> Which is my athletics. So I attack with 02:50:23 my athletics. So do I just push the athletics key? Is that what I do? >> Uh yes, I believe so. >> Yeah, because if you'll notice, Jim, it has >> 19 >> athletics and number two attack and number three attack for athletics. >> Yeah, but that's that's my fight. >> Well, that's your that's your to hit is a 19. My first attack is with the trip at my max. >> Is it a is it a >> it's an attack? It's considered an attack, >> right? But is it a DC? Is it versus 02:50:52 >> No, no, no. Roll. >> He has to roll >> a reflex save. >> A reflex save to beat it. >> And if he doesn't, then I drop him to the ground. >> He's got a pretty good reflex save. These guys are pretty nimble. So here's my here's my reflex roll. Oh, yeah. Jesus, >> he did not. Uh, well, it's not quite 10, so it's not it's a success, but it's not a crit success. >> Uh, so then I'm going to flurry a blow. >> Okay. 02:51:21 >> Smack him couple times. >> Gotcha. >> Uh, which would be here. >> Number two. >> All right. 19 will hit. >> Nice. >> With six damage. >> Okay. >> And then the other attack is uh 11. No, >> that's a miss. >> And then I am going to >> I think that's it for you. No, no, it's not. Flurry of blows is a single right. That's right. That's right. >> Attacks. Got it. Okay. Sorry. You got one more reaction then. 02:51:46 >> I'm gonna move back to here. >> Gotcha. All right. So, Got it. Okay. All right. Cool. >> Yeah. I didn't I didn't think they would have a high decks. So, >> they do. They have a a remarkably high deck. So, uh their reflex save is plus nine. So, uh it's pretty solid. Yeah. All right. So that is where we will stop tonight. Uh and we will continue this two weeks from tonight. >> Uh and we >> which is what >> which is date wise >> right before Christmas 02:52:19 >> 185 reading >> the 28th. It's the it's the Sunday after Christmas. >> Oh it's the Sunday after Christmas. Okay. >> So the 28th. >> Okie dokie. >> And we'll talk about who got what for Christmas. all their all of the good uh all the good gifts and uh and biddles and stuff like that. All right, fantastic. Thank you guys. This was awesome. >> Happy holidays, everyone. Love you. >> Happy holidays to you. >> Thanks. >> Have fun. 02:52:45 >> All right, see you all. >> Good night all. Good night. >> Don't get arrested. Pay less. >> Yeah. Yeah. Hold on. They're they're placing
