0:00 So, do we think Dan is going to join us? Dan is not going to join us. So, uh actually we're going to have a couple 0:06 several people not joining us tonight. So, um Dan is not joining us tonight. Uh he's back from uh England, but within 0:13 like 24 hours of arriving back in the United States, he got sick. So, he feels terrible he can't make it tonight. Um 0:18 but he did tell me that he is rolling up a witch character, a human witch. 0:25 So, uh so that'll be part of his character. Is that time of season? Uh, right. Exactly. So, uh, Tom Row, uh, texted me. 0:34 He's super busy down in, uh, Louisiana dealing with whatever he's dealing with. So, uh, he's not going to make it 0:40 tonight. He's probably going to jump into the campaign at some point in the future once his, uh, all his, uh, 0:46 Louisiana crap has been settled up. And I just got a text from Eric. He says, "Hey buddy, I'm running a fever and I'm 0:52 barfing, so I think I'm going to have to miss tonight." So, so, so this is it. This is us. Uh, So, 0:58 okay. So, uh John is here. John, did you uh did you have a chance to make a 1:04 character? Yeah, he's in the system now. Roll 20. All right. All right. Let's take a look 1:09 here. What do you And see what is your Oh, I see him. Okay. 1:15 Camera, but they're not gonna see you. You want this? You want this one? Oh, perfect. Okay, great. It's great. 1:20 So, Eric is a Kudagawa. Uh Eric is a Kurugawa. Okay. 1:30 put this guy here. Uh I don't know who that is. I'm gonna archive that. Okay. Uh all right. 1:39 Perfect. Um so that being the case. So uh let me uh So what did uh John, what 1:46 did you what kind of character did you make? I made a human cleric. But hey, I can't 1:51 tell what the hell I'm doing here. I got no armor. I got a shield and a freaking light maze. Okay. Did you use uh you used uh uh 1:59 demiplane to do it like I like I advised? Yeah. Then I imported in in here, but I can't. 2:04 Excellent. I can't tell what I'm I don't there's so many rules. I'm not even 2:10 It's okay. Don't don't worry about it. We're going uh we're all we're all sort of uh learning. We'll uh uh we'll bring 2:16 it forward with uh we'll bring it forward together. So don't don't feel like uh you're it's still it's still D 2:22 and D. It's still Pathfinder. Um, you know, so it'll be it'll be okay. 2:27 Sounds good. I can't tell if I'm proficient with armor or weapons at all. I don't know where that's listed in. 2:33 Most most clerics are proficient with light and medium armor. 2:39 Yeah. Right. And and I think it depends on if you're a cloistered cleric or a war priest. 2:46 Yeah, that that is true, too. I'm cloistered. Yeah. Okay. So, you may not even be 2:51 Oh, you're cloistered. So, you might be proficient in un armored 2:57 armor. Yeah, but how do I I see it there, but I don't know why that is, but okay. It must be because I'm a closer cleric. 3:04 That's right. You You don't You don't get light armor even. Yeah. So, yeah, you start out depending on as 3:09 a as a as a bog standard cleric, you start out as untrained in all armor. It's not a proficiency based kind of 3:15 thing. Uh it's untrained. Uh although you can switch off like so for Tom for example, he's playing a war priest. Um 3:22 which makes I think part of being a war priest is you do get armor training, right? 3:27 It's like being a sorcerer really. You're like you're like well in the back. 3:33 Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. You you probably shouldn't be up front. Right. Right. Right. You're you're you're not meant to be in mail. You're 3:39 like Although if you're a priest of a different denomination, I encourage you to get up front. 3:48 Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. But yeah, but don't uh don't feel like you're married to this guy. Uh if you 3:54 need to make some changes, if that didn't work out the way you wanted to work out, we can uh we can do it on the fly. So don't don't worry about that. 4:00 Everything is cool. All right, cool. Thanks. All righty. Uh I'm gonna try to fix my camera. 4:06 Okay, perfect. Uh all right, excellent. So um I think everybody should be able 4:11 to see. Do Well, let me So let me ask this. Does anybody care if other people 4:16 see their character sheet? I I don't care. I don't see. 4:22 I'm going to So, basically what I'm going to do is I'm going to show everybody's 4:28 character to everybody. Yes. Which it might already be 4:33 uh doing that. So, all right. I can see two names. 4:40 Okay. Uh you should be able to see everybody. Yeah, I see I see Eric. I see a Kuragawa, but I don't see his sheet. I 4:48 just see his picture. I just see his bio bio. Well, that Yeah, it might be a limited amount of what you can, you know, what 4:54 you can access to somebody else's character. All right, perfect. So, I don't see I don't see anybody else's. 4:59 I mean, I see that's one thing I did notice is it's showing my character's armor class is 12 5:05 when it should be 17. All right. Should we go in there and take a look at that then? 5:11 Yeah, go for it. All right, let me uh Whoops. Sorry. All 5:16 right, so I've got you at base 10 plus two modifier. Uh what I don't I have you 5:24 equipped with explorer's clothing. I'm assuming you have some armor then that is not being 5:29 No, I'm I'm an unarmored monk. I have Okay, so we have I should have an armor. I'm have 5:37 monk. I should have 17 armor class. 5:43 That's as good as mine. Wearing 5:48 your unfriended armor. Expert and unarmored. Yep. Um 5:55 because the other sheet showed it to be 17. 6:01 Okay. Let me Is it not taking his deck score into account? Maybe. I don't. No, it is. No, it it's taking the decks into 6:07 account. It's not taking the uh expert and untrained into account. 6:15 I wonder why it's listed as expert. 6:23 Uh hold on. Let me uh let me see if got 6:28 that right. 6:37 Okay. Well, so we have two clerics who can hopefully 6:42 both heal or Yeah. Okay. And then and then um a monk and a 6:51 barbarian. Well, the and the one cleric is also out in front, 6:56 right? Oh, that's good. Well, my idea of healing is if you have something hurting 7:01 you, I think uh bloodletting is a good uh way to heal that 7:08 the best offense is a good defense and also good heal. 7:14 Okay, unarmored defense. Let me see where is that? Why am I not seeing it either? 7:24 Nethus, you are a big pile of goo. You know, I'm going to do a quick reboot. Make sure my camera's working. 7:30 Yep. 7:36 Jonno has the hardest time with that camera. Yeah, I got two of them. They're both suck. 7:41 Do you? Is your proficiency in unarmed defense, John? Should be a proficiency bone. So, yeah. 7:48 So, for whatever reason, it's not taking it's not taking the five for unarmored 7:54 defense as a proficiency bonus, and I don't know why. So, I'm going 8:00 if we get rid of the explorer's clothing there, you did something and it 8:06 ah it's rank your rank your rank was untrained uh in it. Now, I moved it to expert. 8:12 So, oh, okay, there we go. That did it. That get that adds your proficiency bonus back in. So now you're back to 17. 8:18 Okay, perfect. Yeah, because you get your because of the monk gets his proficiency bonus to his armor class. 8:25 That's nice. There we go. All right. Uh other Did anybody else have problems with their 8:31 character sheets? I I think I'm okay. I don't know this sheet well enough to know if there's a 8:36 problem. Perfect. That's And as a DM, that's what I'm taking that's what I'm hoping to 8:42 take advantage of. you're hoping to take advantage of. Are you converting this on the fly to Pathfinder or did you find it like 8:50 so uh you mean like the whole uh the whole um sort of module? 8:55 Yeah, because wasn't it written in 5e? It was written in 5e. Yeah. And uh so I'm not I'm not So let me uh rephase 9:03 there. I I have found several different tools. Well, not tools, different several different 9:10 uh resources and tools that I that uh that are greatly helping me with the 9:16 conversion to TUI, but some of it I'm doing myself. Okay. No, that's good. 9:22 So, but that's that's okay. All right. So, uh so as we go into tonight, uh 9:28 you'll remember last time. So, we'll do a very quick recap. I sent out the video from last time. I sent out the the uh 9:35 website recap. So hopefully you guys uh had a chance to look at that. But as you recall uh essentially you guys are in 9:42 Abselum uh and you come in uh you are invited to talk to this guy Museif. He 9:48 is a Kadiran merchant prince very wealthy man who happens to have uh merchanting concerns all over the inner 9:54 sea and that he happens to be in Abselum. And he comes to you uh and basically says look I've I've asked you 10:00 guys to come visit me because I need your help. And he basically says, "Look, 10:08 what if I were to tell you?" He He's like, "Look, everybody has heard of the planes, right? Everybody knows that 10:13 there are planes out there. The abyss, the hells, the happy hunting ground, Nirvana, all these places exist. 10:20 Everybody knows them and scholars have been tra and and magic users and clerics have been traveling to them for 10:25 thousands of years and everybody it's very well documented. But what if I told you he basically says if there is a ser 10:30 that there are a series of planer regions that are smaller than the great plains uh but separate from the prime 10:37 material plane that have slipped under the scrutiny both of the major uh powers 10:43 along with their servants and acolytes and also the greatest amurists of the day. What if I told you I basic 10:49 basically he says look what what would you think if I told you I found some planes that nobody knew existed. 10:56 He says, "Look, I believe my scholars, the scholars of my employee have found such a place." Uh, as you can imagine, 11:03 I've spent a great deal of money furthering research into the multiverse. It's something of a hobby of his. Uh, 11:08 and recently, some of the uh some of the magic users, the wizards of my employee came to me with a remarkable finding. 11:13 They have found an unknown place. Uh, it's not cataloged in any of the available treatises. Uh, but we can 11:21 travel there. And as far as my researchers can tell, it's completely unknown to modern planer investigation. 11:28 He says, as you can imagine, that creates a huge commercial opportunity. 11:34 Uh it's basically a completely untapped market with the potential for other untapped markets that have never had 11:41 contact with the prime material plane. Think of the goods we could sell them. Uh think of the unique and incredibly 11:46 rare things they could sell to us. uh as you can imagine this is this is an 11:51 opportunity I couldn't pass up. So he's probably so so he's like you're probably wondering why I reached out to you with 11:57 this information and he says basically I need help. You guys come highly recommended. No don't I don't want to mention who recommended you just uh to 12:03 say that their endorsement led me to approach you and what I want and it's basically between the various kinds. If 12:10 you are a Marshall character he says basically I want your prowess and ability. We don't know what we're going to face in these planes other than some 12:16 very basic knowledge compiled by a couple of single travelers that work for me. I need protection and frankly my own 12:22 cadres are not skilled enough in the manner that I suspect we will need. That's why I hired you. When he talks to divine casters, he basically says, I'm 12:28 hoping for you to test the boundaries of this region. Most specifically, whether this place is connected enough to the rest of the multiverse that you can 12:34 still draw upon the divine energies of your individual gods. We're still advancing what we know about this place, 12:40 and I want you to test those theories. And finally, arcane uh casters. He basically says, "Look, there's so much 12:46 we have to learn." And having independent scholars and magi examining, exploring, and collaborating with my own 12:52 researchers, I can't help but think that we could invest both investigate and seek out opportunities within these new realms. That's why I want you to hear. 12:59 He also basically says, "Look, I'm I want you to meet uh he's like, look, I won't personally be able to go on this." 13:07 Let me rephrase. He then says, "Do you guys all accept? You guys all accept it? Otherwise, it's going to be a very short campaign. And uh 13:14 they're playing, boss. They're playing. Yeah, we don't want to play this next module. You know, that kind of thing. Um 13:19 so, basically, he says, "Look, I we're going to leave in two days." Uh and we're going to go to this place and 13:25 investigate it and then come back. I can't go because I have to I have commitments I have to deal with in Opara. Uh and so I will be traveling but 13:33 it will be the entire operation will be put under one of my primary scholars and researchers the mage Lindus and he sort 13:41 of introduces him and this is Lorendus. Basically this is the guy who was uh and 13:46 and Mousse will explain that this is this is the mage who was um instrumental 13:52 in locating and piercing the veil between the prime material plane and 13:58 this new plane that we have found. Um, and so he's going to be leading the expedition in mystead. Um, and you'll be 14:04 and you'll be taking instructions from him. Basically, uh, he'll be leading he'll be leading this thing. 14:10 And so, uh, he gives you he gives each of you an extra 20 gold pieces to buy additional equipment as you should so 14:17 feel that you need to go on an expedition of this nature. Uh, he tells you, I expect that we will be inside the 14:24 new plane for about 24 hours. So be be prepared in whatever way you think is 14:29 satisfactory for that. Uh and then meet back here uh you know on uh on Tuesday 14:34 when uh we'll we'll get ready to leave. 14:40 Any questions on that or to or for Museif questions for me or questions for Museif the uh Kadiran merchant prince? 14:49 Do they feel we need anything special like 14:55 how we get back? So uh so Lorendis um is a mage of some 15:01 note and has and will be bringing multiple uh multiple spells of of plain shift that have been customtailored to 15:09 um to function between these two realms. Um, so he'll be he'll be coordinating 15:14 both the entry into the new realm and the exit from the new realm. 15:22 Is it? Yeah, it's a highly modified and and and uh uh and um uh you know uh sort of 15:29 customized version of Plane Shift. And is he he's coming with us? So he'll 15:34 be with us to customize our coming back or correct. Yes. Okay. Okay. Yeah, he's coming with uh 15:41 he'll be he'll be coordinating uh both you guys going uh he'll be he'll be taking care of the arcane energies from 15:47 that and he will be coordinating coming bringing everybody back. We the my expectation our expectation for this 15:53 particular event is that you guys will spend about 24 hours inside the new plane where you will ascertain uh 16:01 certain elements of that try to contact with your with your gods um perhaps make contact with the locals in some fashion. 16:08 um you know and see see what's what's going on there. Uh essentially um you know with Lindis um you know I'll be 16:15 sending a couple of my guys who are who are commercial expport experts to try and uh figure out that I'll be sending 16:21 some of my own um you know uh uh fighter types bodyguards but basically I want to hire you guys uh because I think you're 16:28 uniquely qualified to help Linda with this. Help me and Lorendus with this. 16:33 Okay. I think I might like to get a second water skin. 16:39 Seems reasonable. Gru Hilda, what is your race? I'm sorry. Oh, I'm a dwarf. 16:45 Dwarf. Okay. And I have a really fabulous beard. Like the braids are um 16:51 to die for. Really complicated. It's a thing of beauty to behold. 16:58 Beads. It's a shisel. It's the shisel. 17:04 Velcro. Velcro. What are you playing? I'm sorry. What What is the the name? 17:10 Uh human. I mean, what's his name, though? Velro. 17:16 Oh, let's see if this works. 17:24 Should be able to see it. No, I see it. I just figured that was just your regular name. 17:29 I don't know. I feel like we should have rations. Is that right? Hell yeah. And you can buy rations. 17:36 There is Gwen's character. Yeah. And what a character she is. Look at that beard. 17:42 It's lovely, isn't it? It is. Look at that thing. Braided swave. 17:48 If you should meet a terrible end, I will uh remove your braids and take them 17:53 back to your clan for you. Oh, thank you. And wear them like predator. 17:59 [Laughter] Well, then my spirit will continue with you, lending you my strength. 18:05 There you go. Yeah. And if I should die, kill my minder, 18:13 which is Tenzen. Oh, my kill tensen if I should fall. 18:19 Avenge you. Avenge me. Oh, that's as close as you can get. 18:25 I'll take I'll take the murder of Tenzen as a deacto vengeance. I'm the caddy. 18:31 No, for example, if you go to details and it asks for personality and um um it 18:39 says uh beliefs, orc makes right, attitudes, send them all to Nellrith and 18:45 let him sort it out. Likes long walks on a moonless beach, the warm breeze blowing in my air. 18:54 Dislikes dull tus. Hey, John. And then catchphrases are, "Oh, you in 19:00 trouble now." Email me the picture that you used for your avatar, would you? 19:05 I'll make a I'll make a quick token out of it. Can you can you import one of the 19:12 previous versions on the other or he can he can 19:17 AI pretty quick? just making another thing that happened this weekend is external hard drive 19:26 and I have all my tokens on that. All right, let me I just downloaded it. Let me see if I can get it up there. 19:31 Hold on a second. Let me see if this works. Any human guy with a freaking robe was fine. I might I might I might have you. All 19:37 right, let's see if we can do this. Save changes 19:42 though. Do we have any idea what Dan will be playing? No. Uh human witch. Oh, that's it. The human 19:49 witch. Okay. And Tom is gonna play a sorcerer, right? 19:56 I don't know. He I I He didn't give me any details. Like maybe a sorcerer. 20:05 I'm not sure. Can anybody um can anybody Does anybody 20:10 have crafting? I didn't take it, but I was thinking about it. I just don't know how it works 20:15 yet. So, is anyone using a shield? Yes. Okay. So, you know how the shield like 20:22 the shield you have to raise the shield and then you block with the shield and then the shield takes damage and you 20:29 have to fix it, right? I bought a repair kit because I was thinking 20:35 where where where would crafting be located? What what's that under? It's it's a skill and I I don't have it. 20:41 I just realized like well I can shle the repair kit. Um, what I'm saying is, uh, where where 20:47 would that be located? Probably under uh character. 20:52 It's one of the skills like is it a skill feat or is it a general feat? 20:59 No, no, it's a skill. It's like athletic. It is. It's I see it now. It's under skills. 21:04 Yeah, there are there are feats that you can take that give you crafting or give you 21:10 specialized crafting. Um because most of this started with 21:17 crafting needs. You didn't get to declare a lot of new ones. Yeah. It's an intelligencebased thing. 21:23 Yeah. Well, the best way I found in the past is if your shield gets damaged, you go 21:29 to one of those cloister clerics and you take theirs. 21:36 All right? Because they don't know how to use it anyway, so you may as well. 21:43 Now, now as a barbarian, do you have a shield? Do you carry a shield? I mean, I could do a shield, but no, I'm 21:49 I'm using a bastard sword, two-handed, and I think I'm gonna I might switch to 21:54 the glaive. I don't know. Um, that's the day my de's favorite 22:00 weapon. Is it Glaive? Yeah. Well, it's a dagger, but her 22:05 brother, who she kind of had a friendmy situation with, uh, he he sort of went 22:10 evil. He went bad. Apple. Um, I have brothers like that. 22:16 She she took the glaive from him, his evil glaive. And so, it's like it's 22:21 still her it's still a weapon that she, you know, honors her, but it's it's 22:26 there's like a there's a story. Mr. master under details. Did you fill 22:32 out your height and weight and that kind of thing? Uh, no. Do you have to do that? 22:38 I didn't. I didn't put weight, but height 7 foot. 22:43 Oh, wow. Seven foot. You're seven feet tall. Yeah, the orcs are seven feet to 7 foot 22:52 five. It said what? Okay. So, that's like uh 22:57 that's why no one wants to play basketball with them. Man, we tend to fall out. 23:06 Nice. I couldn't find a place that it stated weight, Tom, so I just skipped it for now. You know how I determined my weight? I 23:13 took Shaq's weight. Oh, O'Neal cuz he's about 72. 23:19 Yeah, he's a big boy. All right. So, you say the weight was Tom? 23:26 It's 344. Okay. Wow. He weighs 344 lbs. Yeah. He's He's over some foot tall, 23:33 though. That's No. No. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Tall people are weirdly heavy. Uh 23:40 cuz this is something it's like the inverse square rule, right? My friend My friend John is like 6'4 and 23:47 he's not he's not what you would call, you know, he's not super hefty. He's kind of like a rail. He's kind of very 23:52 skinny. Uh, but he weighs well over I mean he's closing in on he's like 250 23:57 lbs but he's like 6'4 6'5. Yeah. I got a nephew who's 67 and one who's uh 24:03 66 and they're both well over 250 and the one's skinny skinny skinny. Yeah. So it's weird. 24:09 Yeah. All right. So other equipment that you guys want to get? Uh John, you need do we need to we need to get you some 24:15 equipment. Can you uh can you pick equipment in You should be able to do it in demil. Yeah. I Yeah. There's no starting 24:21 package like there was in in 5e. So, I'm trying to figure out what you get. Yeah, there is. There is. They have 24:27 adventurers packs that are um can like made up for each um 24:36 um class. Okay. And it's cheaper. And I think you maybe get a break on the weight. 24:43 Um the uh what does it say? It's got a bed roll, chalk, flint and steel, rations, 24:50 rope. Unless the other equipment that I bought, I just torch my pack. I just 24:57 loaded it in there. I got like flint and steel, chalk, rope, crowbar, metal spikes, 25:04 hammer, torch, soap. I don't know what I'm doing with soap. Does anyone have a shovel? How much does 25:09 a shovel cost? Empty vials, parchment, writing set. Oh. 25:14 Uh, let's see. eating utensils, fashions, water, sack. I also found 25:22 something that was fairly expensive. It's called silver sav. Okay. What does that do? 25:27 And you can spread that on a weapon and for x amount of time it gives it a 25:32 property like a silver made weapon. Oh, nice. Okay. Wow, that's nice. Well, but it's kind of exper it's kind 25:39 of uh expensive and it's a one use. Yeah. Item. I mean, it's only on like a blade 25:45 for 10 minutes. Yeah. I mean, you can do it on an arrow and it's one shot per dose, but you can do several arrows. 25:54 I pulled that all out of their inventory thing out of uh world the Well, anyway, I got a repair kit. So, it 26:01 don't anybody need to buy a repair kit also. Um 26:06 Okay, perfect. And I also got But hopefully somebody knows how to use it. I had grabbed a healer's toolkit, 26:14 too, just in case. Yeah, that's good. I do. I have medicine. 26:22 Oh, good. I'm trained in medicine. I have a healer's toolkit, too, and I'm trained in medicine. 26:30 Okay, cool. Other equipment, you don't necessarily have to spend a bunch of time getting equipment right now. I just 26:36 wanted to point that out that you guys do have some equipment uh options now that uh the the merchant prince has 26:42 given you um uh you know a fair amount of of extra cash to kind of like knock around. Yes. Yes. 26:58 All right. Do you guys want uh any other questions for Museif or uh or Lurindus? 27:03 I guess you could. He introduces himself to you guys. I'm Lindus. I am I am the I'm the merchant princess mage, chief 27:09 mage, and I am the discoverer of these new planes. You have any questions about them? I 27:15 have I have traveled there on on uh on two other occasions uh briefly to to uh 27:20 ascertain the magical elements to this specific plane we are going. He will Yeah, he'll say that I' he's 27:26 been there on a couple of occasions. uh short stays largely to do some magical 27:33 uh investigation, some very quick magical investigation. If you if you pry, he'll basically tell you that on 27:39 each of those occasions, he was in that plane for a number of hours uh and then 27:45 returned. Did he meet any of the Dennisens? Yeah, that's what I was going to ask. He did. Yeah, he met uh uh individuals. 27:51 Um he goes uh interestingly enough they speak the common language uh the uh Talon uh a variant of the Talon language 27:58 although although their names are quite different from what you would normally see. Their names are unusual. Um but 28:05 they exhibit uh uh um I mean the individuals I saw uh and and spoke with 28:10 were in every in every measurable way that I 28:15 could ascertain humans. Were there dwarves? 28:21 I did not see any dwarfs or orcs for that matter or goblins if 28:26 we're talking about Eric playing a goblin rogue. Yeah, we might have a little problem. 28:33 But go ahead. An ecumenical group. Yeah, there's a uh so far there's only 28:40 one human in the place. So uh it's like you guys could call yourselves the Greenskins or something like that and switch it up. 28:45 Well, John has to be the quarterback. It sounds like 28:52 But yeah, he says that he uh he uh encountered and spoke to um uh about 28:58 over the course of the two uh uh the two things uh about a half dozen of these humans and like he says they spoke the 29:04 common language um but they were they were familiar but they had uh strange 29:09 sounding names but by all um he's like look I didn't dissect any of them so I don't know if they were actually humans 29:15 but um but they seem to be and uh can Oh, sorry. I'm I'm sure at some point during this 29:22 campa this this campaign, someone is going to get chopped into pieces. 29:30 I'm not sure who, but I'm sure someone's right. I would never do something like that. I would never. 29:35 Does he have any access to potions that we might be able to 29:41 get? He doesn't. Although uh one of his assistants will be bringing uh you know 29:46 some minor healing magic with us. Okay. 29:52 But he's not in a position to sell you any of them. Okay, that's fine. That's fine. 29:57 But his assistant will have a bunch of potions and I wink at Tenzen and and say 30:02 stay close to him. Stay close to that guy. 30:09 All right. Other questions for him or or Mousse? Negative. 30:15 All right. You have a couple of days to sort of uh gather up equipment and uh you know, settle affairs and that kind 30:21 of Well, I guess you wouldn't necessarily settle affairs, but uh because you're only because basically they're saying we're going to be gone for a day. Um, 30:28 so, uh, other than that, is there anything that you guys do in town before you report to Museif's, uh, estate, um, 30:38 to essentially go on the go on the trip? 30:44 I I have nothing. All right. 30:50 Day and a half later, you returned to Museif's estate. this time. You'll remember the last time you guys had to 30:56 uh you know there were some guards out front and that kind of stuff. There still are, but they just wave you through. It's obvious that uh you know 31:03 um instructions have been left with them that you guys are to pass through without uh being harassed. And you are 31:08 actually given directions to the rearward part of the estate. It's a large estate in Abselum. But in the back 31:14 of this walled sort of um you know sort of manor area uh is a large you know 31:20 wooden building um much like a a barn or a modern-day pole barn um in which there 31:27 are people milling about and once you guys kind of turn the corner you guys are waved over. You also see uh Linda's 31:33 kind of come outside for a minute and you know he's talking to some people he gives you a little wave and he's like this is you know gives you sort of like 31:39 the universal gesture for this is the spot. Um, and when hold on a second, how 31:44 does this happen? What? Hey Gwen, I cannot find shovel in this book, but a crowbar, which I do have one 31:52 bar, too. I cost five silver pieces. I can't imagine a shovel would cost any more than that, 31:58 but you'd have to talk to Less if you want to pick one up. Well, I think that's I think that's adequate. Five silver for a shovel would 32:04 be perfectly I'll add a shovel for five silver. So, okay. custom tool. 32:11 That always comes in handy if you have to dig a cat hole or a grave. I just don't know, right? One bulk. 32:20 One bulk. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. Okay. Okay. All right. All right. So, as you guys you guys enter into the this this this barn and 32:28 you see something pretty interesting when you get there. You see that inside the barn is a large wagon. Uh, and it's 32:35 it is standing a top a wooden platform. Uh, and so, um, you could see people, 32:43 uh, uh, sort of milling around. There's probably, you guys included, there's probably a dozen people in in and out of 32:49 the barn. Um, you know, various people, it's obvious 32:55 that there are some people who are expected to go. Lindus is there. He looks like he's seeing to the arrangements. He's giving instructions 33:02 and that kind of stuff. Um after a few moments uh you know um Lunas comes over 33:08 to you and he says he quickly reminds you uh of the duties that Museif has 33:13 explained to you. Uh I can answer some questions. Any more questions you may have but but frankly he's not talking 33:20 but he looks busy. He looks like he's making all the things. He looks very busy. He's not doesn't look like he's also super interested in spending a lot 33:26 of time with you guys. Um it's ob it's obvious he considers you guys to be 33:31 hired help. It's not a It's not a bad thing. Uh it's just like he doesn't consider you guys to be any more 33:36 important than the other people that he's dealing with and he's got a lot of things to prepare. Um does that make sense? 33:42 Is it is he got a wagon full of stuff to sell? What's his what's he Well, so after a few minutes, um you 33:50 know, Lorendis is satisfied with the situation. He loudly tells everybody to 33:55 sort of, you know, we'll be we'll be leaving in a few minutes. Um, but you do see that during this period where Lindus 34:01 is sort of overseeing things, you do see some of the guys uh load some crates 34:06 into the black back of the wagon. Um, so give me a quick perception check. 34:16 [Music] I got to find her. Oh, there's perception. 34:21 Natural 20 on her first perception role. Nice. As Gruhinda Gru uh Grugilda 34:28 rocks it, she's like bionic eye on this stuff. All right. So, Grugilda, you uh you as you're watching these things, 34:34 there's It seems odd, right? You weren't um you understand from Museif that this 34:40 is, you know, ultimately what he's interested in is exploring new markets. This is a commercial venture. He's a 34:46 merchant prince. This is what he does, right? Um he also has a hobby in in in planer travel and planer that kind of stuff. 34:53 So, with this wagon, you would think that it's possible he might be sending some trade goods through. Here's the 35:00 kicker, though. There's only a couple of these crates. The wagon is bigger than 35:06 the amount of crates that are being loaded into it. It's not like it's full. So, it's only like two or it's like 35:11 three of these crates. And the crates themselves, as you watch these guys load, it looks like Well, first of all, 35:18 the crates are locked like with padlocks. Okay. So, which is which is different. 35:25 Uh, which is atypical, I should say. Second, the guys carrying them, it seems 35:31 to look like it's quite heavy. Wow, look at that's kind of cool. The demiplane uh 35:37 character sheet kind of uh does have a has a different thing. Very cool. Hey, tell question. How do you guys roll 35:42 perception? On the right hand side, it took me a while to find two. There's 35:48 an area that says perception and then uh he's got a different perception in the 35:53 circle next to it. He's got a different sheet than you guys do cuz he used demil. Oh, 35:58 so let me take a look. The skills don't know. Uh I don't know. Offand cleric. Let me 36:06 see. This sheet is close to your initiative row. Yeah. Uh oh, it's right above uh on your 36:13 character sheet, John. It's right above uh your initiative. Yeah. So, try to roll because I I keep 36:18 getting a popup. How the hell did you do that? I clicked I clicked over the the where 36:25 you see where it says plus seven. Yeah. If you mouse over that, it shows a little dice. 36:30 [Music] Oh, I love you. There you go. Very cool. This demiplay, 36:36 these demi plane things are pretty sweet. Uh, all right. So, um, so yeah. So, basically, back to what uh I was 36:42 thinking, the crates are locked. They look really heavy and they don't make 36:47 any noise. Like there's nothing jostling around inside that you can hear anyway. No goblins. 36:53 Nothing. You You could potentially fit a goblin in one. They're just about that size. 37:00 Although the goblin would have to be in several pieces probably. That's how I was going to introduce. 37:05 Yeah. And here's I asked about the dripping or stains on the box. 37:11 Uh yeah, there's no stain these boxes. Well, they uh they also they're not like 37:16 crudely made crates. They're like boxes almost chests. 37:22 I mean, not quite. They're not like quite treasure chest, but they they've kind of they kind of exude that kind of 37:28 vibe. Okay. Like reinforced. Well, they're definitely Well, yeah, they look pretty well made and they're 37:34 definitely have locks on them, which, you know, normally trade goods are in like rough huneed crates or bags or 37:40 something like that. uh they wouldn't they wouldn't spend uh the time of the kind of money on those containers that 37:48 these containers obviously exhibit. Okay. 37:53 Right. And wait, so is it just the wizard that's going or are there No, there's probably about another half a dozen people uh that you guys don't 38:00 know. Okay. But yeah, they're obviously uh he's ordering them around, you know, that 38:06 kind of stuff. You know, one guy is going to be obviously the driver of the cart. Uh and you know finally after 38:13 things are loaded after a few minutes Lindus seems satisfied with the situation and he basically says all right everybody uh you know um I want 38:20 everybody to prepare for uh for transition to the new plane. Uh I want we have a couple of things that you I 38:26 need you to do. Everyone who's going needs to stand upon the wooden platform and have at least one hand on either the 38:32 horse a horse or the wagon itself. uh the focus of my magic uh to take us to 38:39 the new plane will be on the wagon itself. Uh so contact that will in uh will ensure that the the the travel 38:45 there will be smooth for you. Uh and so um you know all the other guys are like 38:51 okay well they step out on the platform and they grab a hold of this piece or that piece or the piece of the harness 38:56 of the of the of the horse's harness or something like that. And I assume you guys do too. Yeah. Yeah. 39:02 All right. I'll go grab the top part of the rear wheel. 39:08 Top part of the rear wheel. Perfect. Okay. And then just rip it off. Uh all right. So after a few minutes. All 39:15 right. Everybody sort of comes up, gets on the platform, touches some portion of the of the horse uh horses or the or the 39:22 wagon. Uh he's like, you know, uh Linda is like, "Is everybody ready?" You know, that kind of thing. And um and then 39:27 Lorendus begins what is obviously a spell. Uh it takes a it takes a little 39:32 bit of time. It you know it's after about 30 seconds um you begin to feel a 39:39 strange unsettling sort of shifting feeling. It's a little bit like being on a boat in rough waters but you're not 39:46 moving anywhere. Things the the um the the barn wood around you begins to turn 39:53 dark. Uh, and you begin to smell what smells like uh forest undergrowth. You 40:00 can smell leaves. You can smell trees. You can almost feel like there's a little breeze going by you, but it's 40:07 dark. You can't really see any. That's that stuff that Zezy ate for lunch. Yeah. So, he probably should have put 40:13 that in the foot locker. Um, but and then uh you know, as as almost 40:20 as quickly as it happens, you're there. Uh, it's pitch dark. Uh, and you 40:30 Well, it's still pitch dark. You You could tell with dark vision you see sort of things in the moonlight and that kind 40:35 of stuff. Um, but soon they get uh, you know, you hear Linda say is like, "Light torches." Uh, or uh, actually he doesn't 40:42 yell out light torches. He you could hear him like, "Okay, everybody light the torches." Uh, and a liquid pool of 40:48 light surrounds the wagon and the crew. uh you find that you are on you have 40:54 materialized on what looks to be a fairly well-maintained dirt road 41:00 which is surrounded on both sides by a thick woodland. Uh the carriage is 41:06 materialized sort of perpendicular to the road itself, not like on the road but like sort of sideways. Uh which 41:12 leads you to believe that maybe this is a different location than the ones Mousse uh described as previous 41:18 expeditions going to. like maybe this is the first time they've come to this particular spot. Um Lorendas takes a few 41:24 minutes uh moments to recover from the exertions of the spell and then he swings into action. He's giving orders. 41:30 The most prominent of which of his of his instructions is to remain silent unless specifically necessary to speak. 41:37 He himself is whispering horarssely there. Come over here. At one point he pulls out what looks 41:43 like a map and he creates this small magical light. his finger like lights up ET styled illuminated and he shows it to 41:48 the man who has been designated who's obviously the guy who you guys have known as before. He's going to be the 41:54 wagon driver. Uh he nods to Lindes. He steps up on the seat and begins quietly 41:59 as possible to sort of turn the wagon sideways and get it aligned on the road. 42:09 But yeah, it's very dark here. Uh, the torches reveal uh a um 42:18 all the eyes in the trees. Well, that should not have done that. 42:26 One second. Those are fireflies. Why is this doing this? 42:34 Okay, so of course here's the first time that this has happened. Oh no, it's because I'm on the wrong thing. So, 42:40 let's uh see if this works. There we go. All right. Perfect. Um I had my uh 42:45 things. So, it's dark and the uh and it's uh a thing, but as you guys are sort of like everything's starting to 42:50 get moving and and uh Lorendus is giving uh giving instructions and that kind of 42:56 stuff, you begin to hear something in the distance. [Music] 43:02 Oh. When when once we landed and we can un we can let go of the wagon. 43:09 Yes. Two hands on the sword. Oh, you got your sword out. Okay, perfect. Yeah. 43:15 You hear noises in this? Can you hear that? Mhm. 43:20 They have locomotives here. I hear a train whistle. I thought it was an air raid uh siren 43:27 bomb. You hear sounds all around you. Sounds like wolves. Yeah. 43:33 In the distance. Ah, children of the night. And it's from every direction. You could hear it everywhere. 43:40 And then then as you guys look, I look around, 43:46 people are starting to get a little nervous because it seems like this person started out far away, but now it seems even closer. 43:51 Does Lorendis like does he seem like this is normal? This is what he expected 43:56 to arrive at night. And he seems a little nervous. 44:05 So, Lorendis at this point, uh, is, uh, you know, uh, you guys are starting to 44:10 get moving down the road and you hear that those wolf sounds out in the background. Uh, and it seems to be from every direction. Lindus does seem to be 44:17 a little nervous at first. Um, and uh, um, 44:23 you know, but he quietly he's encouraging every let's keep moving. Keep moving everyone. Don't worry about 44:28 this. But yeah, he does seem a little nervous at first. Then suddenly, as you guys are putting 44:33 on, there's a guy in front with a torch and he's leading the way. And you can see in the glow of the torch light, eyes 44:40 in the distance, lots of them out in the woods. And you look around, you a quick look around, they're all around you, 44:48 and you can see all kinds of uh things. And suddenly the tenor of the of the 44:54 sounds from the woods begins to change. 45:00 All right, clerk. Fireballs. 45:06 [Laughter] Without warning, 45:11 wolves leap out of the woods and attack the people. You suddenly all the pretense of being quiet is over. 45:18 Lorendas is yelling, "Defend the defend yourselves. Defend the cart." You know, everyone get throw a circle. That kind 45:23 of thing. He's trying to give up. But at least a dozen wolves leap out of the woods, attack the carriage, attack the 45:29 men around it. that they seem to be wolves at first, but in the flickering chaos, you see that some of them bear 45:34 all the hallmark of werewolves. [Music] 45:41 Uh Lorendus is like, "Let's keep going. We can outrun them." He uh he yells at the carriage driver, "Speed up." Uh and 45:47 you all and the rest of the crew begin to follow along as quickly as possible. But almost immediately after that 45:54 happens, you see something terrifying jump out of the woods and leap onto the carriage. Let's see if this works. 46:01 Oh. Oh my. 46:08 Oh no. There's Lorendis. And the werewolves leap on the carriage, grab the mage, and 46:13 throw him off onto the ground as they try to speed away. The other wolves and 46:18 and either werewolves or real wolves leap onto the mage and begin tearing him 46:24 apart. You can hear him screaming. Uh it the tech is vicious and terribly 46:30 one-sided. But as soon as the werewolves have gotten Lorendis and the bulk of the crew, the the cart comes to a stop. as 46:37 the as the driver is eaten. You guys are fighting away trying to keep these things off uh and frankly not getting uh 46:43 not getting too not it's not having too well uh uh of attack. You're doing the best you can, but it's terribly 46:50 one-sided attack. You see man-shaped wolves tear open the back of the cart uh 46:57 and leap in and grab those those uh uh uh those those chests, those crates out 47:03 of the back and run off into the woods with them. Uh all of you have been 47:09 knocked to the ground. Uh knocked either senseless and unconscious or somewhat injured. Uh but your fears uh are 47:16 somewhat allied allayed by the fact that you do not seem to have been bitten by these creatures. 47:24 They withdraw as quickly as they came. And there is quiet in the woods once 47:31 again. You're lying there on the ground uh uh beaten up uh in some cases knocked 47:37 slightly unconscious, knocked for a loop. Um you remain on the ground for a minute or so uh sort of collecting your 47:43 thoughts, slowly coming back to consciousness, very much aware of the idea that there are still wolves that 47:50 lurk in the woods. When out of your eyes, you see a man come out of the woods and kneel down next to you. 48:00 It's Sean Connory. It is Sean Connory. 48:06 Hello everyone. And we can't and we cannot use uh I can't do Sean caravan caravan guards on our resume 48:12 anymore. Miss money penny. Money penny. 48:17 Uh so uh you you know the guy is and so this guy kneels down and he and he he 48:23 grabs he kneels down uh on uh uh the war priest and he sort of brings you up to a 48:29 sitting position. And he's like, "Why? Why have you come back? Uh, you were you were warned repeatedly not to return 48:35 here. And why would you bring Argent? Why would you bring Argent? We're practically under the eye of the beast 48:40 here." He shakes you. He shakes his head. Can you walk? Are you bitten? Hey, Les, I do have a question. 48:47 Sure. How come that guy laying to the right arms has two pieces to his arm? 48:54 That's arms. That's one of the men mysteries of Bovia. Ah, that's weird. 49:01 I hate to see him driving valuable as a cargo carrier. 49:06 Yeah, you can see where he got how he got the job. They're like, uh, what so what unique qualities do you have that make you good at this? 49:12 He's a turning signal. He's like he's uh he's Fletcher from Wrath of the Righteous. So Dan Jensen, I 49:18 don't know if you you guys ever sat in on Wrath of the Righteous, but Dan Jensen's character uh was an Elvish 49:24 barbarian who made a pact with a demon princess. And as part of that, she 49:31 melded a glabraoom arm onto his chest that he could use to make third attacks 49:38 uh and grab people with. So yeah, he had a third arm, but this is not that guy. This is uh the vagaries of AI uh the 49:45 vagaries of AI image generation. Well, just let's just assume there's another guard underneath him. That's 49:53 who's the guy underneath still alive. He's like, but but he's like, um, why have you 49:59 returned? Your lord was was warned and doubly warned not to bring Argent here. 50:04 And the way he pronounces is Arjit. He he was like, you were told and doubly warned not to bring Arjit here. And then 50:11 you return with crates of it. Did you think the count would not get word of this? He looks around and sees the eyes 50:17 in the in the distance still watching. Those What is the Arjit? Still Arjit. What are you? 50:27 I will explain everything. We have to get out of here. Um the council servants are still out there and they're not pleased uh that I've shown up. They've 50:34 taken of the crates. Uh but they're they're holding back for 50:40 now. They will wait for us to make a mistake if we don't depart soon. Uh we won't grant the pardon me. Come on. We must await to the village. Get on your 50:46 feet. If you can walk, walk. Let me know if you need help. Uh the wizard dead. I want to examine 50:51 him. Yeah, he's dead. Yeah. If you look uh back, this was this was what happened to uh uh 50:58 I saw him fall off. Yeah, he he was knocked off by a werewolf and then other one just sort of 51:04 jumped onto him. Uh you see other guys in the background coming up. So yeah, he's Yeah, he's uh he he Yeah, you 51:10 you've witnessed him being torn apart essentially. Well, we'll we'll take his hat and his cloak. I was going to say I want to categorize 51:16 his items to return to his widow. Uh when you get over to him, he is 51:21 largely torn apart. He doesn't have much in the way of items. A little bit of uh uh a little bit of money in his pocket. 51:27 So about um uh uh about 25 silver pieces uh and two gold. uh some uh some spell 51:36 components that have been you know that some of which may you know were not scattered about. Uh beyond that it's 51:43 interesting that this guy did not bring much in the way of magic items. When you look into the cart to look for the 51:49 healing stuff there is a there is a small box in there. Uh and some of those bottles have been broken in the in the 51:55 werewolf hastes to remove the to remove the crates. But uh there are still three bottles which are labeled very 52:02 helpfully. uh with um the words potions of healing on them. 52:07 Okay. Well, why don't the why don't the barbarian and tenins split those up? 52:18 And did you hear that? He had two silver pieces and some uh 52:24 two gold and 25 silver. No, no, no. He had two silver pieces and some material components on. 52:32 Is it a minor healing potion? It is. Hold on a second. I will tell you 52:39 momentarily when when you said there were three. So you guys will have to decide who gets the odd 52:44 one. Well, unless you want to give it to the cloistered cleric to either use or a 52:50 minister. That's fine. Yeah, that sounds good. Oh, although 52:57 Well, maybe that's good. Yeah. So, the way I'm doing So, I'm doing a little bit of house roll here. Uh so these are these are potions of 53:03 heal. Uh and basically if you drink it so so you guys are I think at least 53:09 partially familiar with the three action economy uh that uh is that Pathfinder uses. If you take one action to drink 53:16 the potion, you get D4 health points. If you take two actions, you get D8. 53:23 And if you take all three actions to drink the potion, you get max. You get eight. That's kind of how the healing spells 53:30 work. If you do a quick one, it's a die roll. You take the long one, it can be the max. 53:36 If you take the middle one, I think it's like an area of effect, but it's a die roll. Something like that. 53:42 Yeah, it's like uh spell uh if you take uh first action has the spell has a range of touch. Second action has a 53:48 range of 30 feet. Yeah. Uh and three actions uh it's a 30 foot 53:54 uh for everybody. But in this case, uh these are potions. So, uh, first action D4, second action D8, three actions, 54:01 full eight. If you use all three action, the area here says 120 ft. That's big. 54:06 That can't be right. It's a 30 according to this. I'm looking at this. It says 30 foot emanation. Oh, well, see, I'm just I just pulled up 54:14 under under the innate spells heel. Uh, and maybe maybe they have that wrong because I just dropped that in there. 54:21 Okay. Yeah, I don't know why it's saying 120. I've got a range of 30 ft for a two action and a 30- foot emanation from the 54:29 individual uh like a burst. It's essentially a burst. 54:34 Okay. So, basically, he says, "My name is Arian Grimhold and uh when you assure him that you're capable of moving and 54:42 not infected with lanthropy, uh he says he'll take you to safety." Are any of the other other people alive? 54:48 No. No one else other than you guys has survived. Okay. Now, we'll search over them for 54:54 any helpful weapons, but we'll be quick. They have a few of their own personal weapons. Uh, at least two of these guys 55:01 were basically porters. Uh, they don't have much. You could use scare up another another uh 55:06 I did see that dynamite crossbow on that side of the wagon. 55:12 There is a there is a crossbow hanging on the side of the wagon if you want to grab it. Oh, absolutely. Okay. And you'll find the bolts inside 55:17 by uh uh near where the driver sits. So 20 bolts case of 20. 55:23 Nice. And it is a heavy crossbow designed to be used by the driver in 55:30 defense of the cart, which he did not have a chance to do. Good job. Um, barbarian, can you fire a heavy 55:37 crossbow? Uh, I probably can. I think I have marshall uh things. Yeah, I have Marshall. So, 55:45 why don't you take that and the 20 bolts because I already have a heavy crossbow with bolts. Okay. All right. I'll look it up. And 55:53 that'd be unless you were you going to scare up any more change from these? I can tell you what it is if you need it. 56:00 Well, I'm gonna try to do the drag and drop. Yeah, it it it'll it it'll do that because that's what I did. 56:07 Okay. Yeah. And Mr. Mr. Mastersonson, were you keeping a booty list? 56:12 Yeah, I'm I'm writing it all down. Okay. Uh these are just normal bolts 56:18 and and Velcro. Did you did you add a healing potion to your inventory? Okay, I'll do that now. 56:24 Okay. So, as you if you if you pick through the rest of the the dead guys, uh you 56:31 find a grand total of 42 copper, two silver, and one gold. 56:37 Oh, horses unhe hurt. Horses are destroyed. Uh two of them are 56:44 in ribbons on the ground. One of them is missing. Is it a minor healing potion? 56:49 Just it's called a potion of heal. It's just it's just called a potion of heal. 56:55 Potion of heal. I might not be able to take the um 57:04 the other crossbow. Yeah, the crossbow. I miss something. I was probably doing research. There it's not in the 57:09 compendium though. Uh Gwen, if you cannot carry it, I will carry it because that's a very valuable 57:15 weapon. Okay. All right. Yeah, just let me know. I can't carry it. So, 57:21 Oh, you're right. Sometimes this is weird the way it does this. Uh 57:28 I see minor, lesser, greater, moder. Why am I encumbered? 57:34 Uh go to your uh inventory and see what weight it adds to it. 57:41 Well, it says I have Oh, yeah. That's under healing potion. These would be 57:48 uh minor, I think. Hold on a second. 1d8. 1d8. Yeah. 57:54 Yeah, it's minor healing potion. Minor healing. Okay, gotcha. And then 57:59 two. Yeah. See, it's showing the bulk of that. Not that that that that nasty. 58:07 Yeah, minor healing. Yeah, you're right. Sorry. For the heavy crossbow. I mean, the gl I have a glaive and 58:12 that's quite heavy. Oh, gotcha. Gotcha. Gotcha. 58:19 Cool. All right. Uh, and you guys, so as soon as he tells his name is Arian 58:24 Grimhold and he says when you're uh uh 58:31 uh you know uh admonishes you to be as quiet as possible and then you become move begin moving swiftly down the road. 58:37 Okay. Uh, everybody's moving as quickly as they can. Uh, and the journey you you're 58:45 pretty quickly the uh the sound of wolves uh goes away. You may have 58:50 outdistanced them in some way or they're just simply not hunting you anymore. Um, 58:55 but uh uh he is moving quickly away. 59:01 Okay, we'll stay we'll stay with him as best we can. Okay. 59:07 It's every once in a while as you're going uh he will mention he's you know he's sort of it's almost it's almost 59:12 that he's talking to himself but he's definitely talking in a manner that all of you hear this and he's like look you 59:18 know he's like I they were told not to come back and they came back anyway and brought Ajit with them. Uh I cannot 59:24 believe that they would do this under the under the the very he kind of looks to the explain Azit was 59:30 he hasn't yet. Okay. Uh but he will he will uh uh if 59:35 you ask him um he'll basically say um you know uh first the first time you ask 59:41 him he says like be quiet keep moving. Uh but if you ask him again what what was what is Arjit? Um he stops and turns 59:49 around and he says this. He turns around to show you what he means 59:56 and he pulls a small poinard from a uh from a um from inside of his cloak. It's 1:00:03 obviously in a sheltered position on his thing, but he carries it uh and it looks like uh it's made of silver. And then 1:00:11 he'll say, "This is what I'm talking about, and this is what you are not supposed to bring back." and he pulls out a coin uh from a secreted spot 1:00:19 inside of his clothing and he shows it to you and you can see that it is a 1:00:26 absolomian silver piece. Is that the same silver pieces off the 1:00:31 wizard that we got? Correct. Okay. He's like, "You were told not to bring 1:00:36 this here and certainly not to bring this here under the very eye of the beast." any points off in the direction that you guys were moving. 1:00:44 No, no wonder we were attacked. It was it was an affront to bring this to bring this material here. 1:00:50 We're going to use the Bart Simpson defense. This is our first day at work. 1:00:59 Well, he seems to be talking about it like you guys should have known uh not to bring this, but he very quickly puts 1:01:04 these these items away. It's like, come on, we need to go. 1:01:12 Yeah, we will we will follow him. Where where exactly are we going? Go ahead. 1:01:18 Are you wanting to share your screen still because you're still Are we not sharing? 1:01:23 Well, I didn't know if I'm seeing your screen in two places. On Roll 20 and on Zoom. 1:01:32 Yeah. Yeah. And I didn't know if you wanted it on Zoom or not. I do because we're recording. 1:01:37 Oh, okay. Yep. So the zoom one you use best best way to do it is use your recording 1:01:42 rather your use your screen rather than use the zoom screen because if you get you know get between the two it's very easy to sort of like try and start 1:01:48 moving stuff around on the zoom screen and it doesn't work. So so use your use your roll 20 screen for uh your 1:01:55 character and stuff. Uh this is just to sort of like for entertainment sake. 1:02:00 Cool. All right. He says and you say uh ask where are we going and he goes for to to to Bovia village of course. 1:02:08 Come on. We have to move quickly. It's first time we've been here. So, 1:02:14 all right. So, very quickly, uh, well, actually, not very quickly. It takes a couple of hours. Uh, but finally, you 1:02:22 come, you find yourself approaching a village. Now, it's still quite dark out, 1:02:28 but you're approaching from the east. Uh, hold on. 1:02:34 and you're approaching from this this way uh and coming in and you're heading into 1:02:40 into town. Uh from the tree line, you guys kind of emerge on the road out of 1:02:46 the forests. Uh you're stumbling. You're a bit bloodied. Your clothes are somewhat torn by the claws. Um and 1:02:54 you're you you're a little bit exhausted. Uh and as you're uh you know, 1:02:59 at the front is walking and his eyes are are watchful. Um but as the you can see 1:03:04 that that the first pale lights of dawn are starting to materialize uh behind you and spread across the village and 1:03:10 he's like and you can hear say ah good dawn approaches we will go to the church of the morning lord you will be safe 1:03:16 there this day although the elders may have some questions for you in the meantime however they can keep you safe until they can make arrangements to get 1:03:22 to you get you to Balaki there they will know what to do with you 1:03:28 so as you kind of come through town uh you kind of go through and through the 1:03:33 center of town and you head towards that building. The church uh of the morning lord is uh sort of is surrounded by that 1:03:40 blue uh square and you guys head through town. Town hasn't really come to life yet. It's still it's still it's still 1:03:46 before dawn. I mean you can see the light coming up in the east but it's not it's not quite dawn yet. You do see a 1:03:52 couple of people sort of uh you know wandering the streets up early, farmers, drovers, you know that kind of thing. 1:03:58 and they kind of eyeball you guys like what's all this kind of [ __ ] going on here? Uh because you certainly do not 1:04:05 look like the normal kinds of things. But uh you know some of them like uh you know and some every once in a while some 1:04:10 of them will wave and like hey yeah I to see you are are they dressed in a certain type 1:04:16 of local garb or do we stand out because of that? Do you stand out a little bit? C. So 1:04:21 certainly you don't see any people they don't they don't they don't have any very I mean I wouldn't call with how they're dressed to be like odd. Um they 1:04:29 they're dressed like what you would normally see villagers be dressed in in any village in in Valyrian. 1:04:35 Um you know some of them are dressed as farmers. One one guy you see as you pass by a blacksmith shop. He has a big 1:04:42 leather apron on as would be fit a blacksmith. They don't that doesn't seem to be too obvious. Kind of your typical medieval 1:04:48 Yeah. typical medieval kind of village people. YMCA. Um, yeah, exactly. There's a 1:04:55 there's a farmer, there's an Indian chief, there's a cop with the big mustache. Um, 1:05:01 uh, so but no, but they are kind of eyeballing you because one, you don't see any demihumans. They're all humans. 1:05:07 You don't see any uh any goblins or anything like that. So, they're kind of like, what is this? And then uh two, you 1:05:14 don't see any of them bearing any weapons. In fact, the more you think about it, when you look at Alyan, it's 1:05:20 doesn't on the face of him, it doesn't look like he has weapons on him. He does 1:05:25 have a sword. It looks to be made of steel. Uh but the scabbard, it's it's relatively short, and the scabbard is 1:05:31 kind of like tucked beneath his his like sort of coat. Uh so it doesn't look like, you know, to the average observer, 1:05:38 it wouldn't be it wouldn't be super obvious that he's carrying weapons. You guys, on the other hand, are fumeoned 1:05:44 with weapons, I assume. Not not me. Not me. 1:05:49 Gruilda has a has a glaive and she's carrying a a a crossbow that's bigger than she is. 1:05:56 Dragging it along. She said that's going to overbulk her. So I'm actually carrying it. You got that? All right. Well, yeah. 1:06:02 There's my own. Yeah. Yeah. So Zezy's got two. He's got He's treating them like hand crossbows. 1:06:09 Yeah. Yeah. Well, you know, 72. I should be able to spinning them around like pistols. 1:06:15 But yeah, so and you don't see any weapons on the people of this village. 1:06:20 You guys approached the church uh and it What you're saying is we could be masters of this village very easily. 1:06:28 You could you could certainly try. Uh the church sits on the western edge 1:06:34 of the village. Uh it has a sagging steeple. Uh it looks in a bit of disrepair. It's large. Um the walls are 1:06:41 weatherworn stone. They have some soot uh and age their streets with that. Uh 1:06:46 it has a bell tower that has a bell in it, but it doesn't it looks at least from at least in the pre-dawn hours, it 1:06:52 doesn't look like the bell has been rung recently or maybe at all for a long 1:06:57 time. Um uh you can smell 1:07:03 Well, you haven't got in there yet. So, um uh 1:07:09 once you reach there, sort of pounds on the door. Boom. Boom. Boom. Boom. And you hear a voice uh from the inside. And 1:07:16 he's like, "Who who who who is visiting us this this this morning so early?" Uh 1:07:22 and Yarian's like, "Open up. Open the door. I've got I've got I've got to see the He goes, "I've got to see the 1:07:28 Reverend and the elders." And so the door the door opens sort of a bit and you see 1:07:34 what looks to be a sort of young dude uh young novice. He's in a cassak. Uh, and 1:07:41 he opens the door. He kind of looks out sort of quirously. He's like, "Uh, master, what is this all about? What is 1:07:47 what what have you brought?" And he goes, "Aaran goes, these are travelers who know nothing of our ways, but they need to be kept safe. Wake the reverend 1:07:53 so that I may explain what I have brought to him." And so he's like, "Oh, yes. Come in. Come in. Come in. Uh, uh, you smell wax, 1:08:02 like candle wax, old incense in the air. Uh um uh you do hear in the distance uh 1:08:12 somebody what sounds like praying maybe a male voice praying but it's a couple of rooms away at the very at the very shortest. Uh the um the novice says 1:08:21 please please come with me and he leads you off to the side off to the the left side of the nave where there's like a 1:08:26 little anter room. Uh there's a little table in there and some books and papers are sort of scattered you know sc not 1:08:31 scattered about but like on bookshelves and that kind of stuff. It's kind of tight but you all fit in there. Uh, and 1:08:37 uh uh Yan goes to uh stay here. Let me get the reverend and then uh and then uh 1:08:43 I I'll speak to him and we'll and we'll see what he can do. Uh and and closes the door. So you guys are in there. You 1:08:49 can hear sort of like out in there. Uh um you know, oh by and novice uh uh says 1:08:55 his name is Brother Gregor. Uh Gregor. Brother. Inside the room, you can hear 1:09:03 some bustling around in the church. After a few minutes, you can hear men and women's men, both men's and women's 1:09:10 voices, but you can't make out what they're saying. Um, 1:09:15 but you're in there for a couple of minutes. You guys do anything while you're in there? 1:09:20 Just kind of, you know, size it up. Look around. Okay. Do we recognize the deity like the 1:09:28 the we're going into a strange church like who who uh is the church dedicated 1:09:34 to? You don't see there's no uh there's no statues or anything in this room like there's no icons or anything like that. 1:09:41 If you peruse through the papers which are written in Taldin, essentially common uh although of kind of a weirdly 1:09:47 archaic version of it, uh you do hear mention of the sun goddess, uh the 1:09:54 goddess of the sunburst, um you know, there's there's references to the flower of the dawn, uh things of 1:10:02 that nature. You can tell that these pages that 1:10:08 you're these books I mean there's a fair amount of dust on them. Uh the papers look quite old. You do see some other 1:10:14 parchments that have notes on them but it looked to be ecumenical notes. Uh things of like you know remember this 1:10:19 highlighted portions transcribed from the from the books that kind of thing like a like a scholar study. 1:10:28 After a few minutes, uh um you hear uh well, so you hear a uh well, there was a 1:10:36 lock on the door and you could hear it like unlock. So you realize sort of uh as they are letting you out that you 1:10:42 were locked in here. Uh nobody tested the door. So uh there's that. Um, and 1:10:48 then a uh an older man uh he's got a shaved head and he's wearing a cassak uh 1:10:55 similar to brother Gregors uh is he opens the door and he says, "Greetings 1:11:00 travelers and and welcome to the village of Bovia. Uh my name is Reverend Donovich and you are welcome in the 1:11:06 church of the morning lord. I apologize for keeping you waiting but I had to fetch some of the villagers so that we could speak with you and decide what 1:11:12 should be done. if you would please follow me." And he turns and leads you into the interior of the church where 1:11:19 you find yourselves in in a large sort of meeting room. Now, it's not the the 1:11:26 church hall specifically. It's definitely a meeting room. Uh this isn't a what do they call the room where they 1:11:32 actually hold like churches, mass and stuff. What's there's a there's a room for it and I can't think of it. 1:11:38 Fellowship hall. Yeah, that's more like what this room is. Um, 1:11:44 the room where you where you actually preach is called something else and I can't think of it, but uh 1:11:50 the sanctuary. Sanctuary. That's it. So, this this isn't the sanctuary. This is more of like a meeting room, like a fellowship 1:11:55 room, that kind of thing. And as you uh there are several people uh sort of sitting around a table. There's candles 1:12:01 lit uh and um you know, there's uh uh the burning. You can begin to also see 1:12:08 that the dawn is coming up more and you can see light coming through some of the cut glass windows, the stained glass 1:12:13 windows that are here uh in this room, but it's still quite dim and hence the candles. Um, basically says, "Look, I uh 1:12:21 I I want to welcome you to the village of Bovia once again. These are uh uh uh 1:12:26 you know, my friends. They've come uh to help me assist you." Uh and he 1:12:32 introduces the the two elders. Uh Elder um hold on a second. Elder uh Serilda uh 1:12:38 and Elder Dragoir. Uh he very quickly introduces these are the two brothers, Darius and Anorus. Uh Malvorne. This is 1:12:46 Valmir, my assistant. Uh this is uh our SC our resident scholar Isold Varov. And 1:12:52 you've already met Brother Gregor. I am Reverend Donovich. Uh and again, I welcome you to the to the Church of the 1:12:58 Morning Lord. Uh, and may I ask your names for it is it is rare that we see 1:13:04 travelers come to Bovia, especially travelers of the considerable 1:13:11 hue of your skin and the beardedness of your lady friend. 1:13:17 Well, at least they were able to tell she was a lady. It was a big It's a big metal armored 1:13:24 bra, you know. That's probably what gave it away. I I'm Groug Hilda Blessed beard 1:13:32 and um we we are at a bit of a disadvantage. We 1:13:39 we were hired to come to engage in trade. We were told that the the uh 1:13:47 wizard had been here previously and uh this would that that we would be 1:13:54 welcomed that that we were anxious to set up trading uh partnership 1:14:02 between your uh plane and and our own. 1:14:07 So he uh as he does that he's like uh Drew Gilda it is a pleasure to meet you and then he sort of looks over at is old 1:14:14 who looks back at him and says she is telling the truth. 1:14:20 You're like, "Oh, okay." Uh, and he says, "Madam, uh, Arian surely would 1:14:26 have told you that, um, uh, uh, you know, he I'm certain that he mentioned of the warnings that we had given, uh, 1:14:34 um, visitors previously. Um, he must have assumed that you were, uh, visitors 1:14:39 of a similar nature. Uh but yes um those people who came 1:14:44 those people who came before were advised not to return and to certainly not bring Arjent or as you call it 1:14:52 silver to this place. 1:14:58 We're sorry that you were that you were brought here under false pretenses. 1:15:03 Yes. As are we. Difficult. And you and you Oh, go ahead. 1:15:09 I'm sorry. No, go ahead. And you, sir, with the giant crossbow, what is your 1:15:14 name? I am Xanderius Zari Topus. You can call me ZZ Top for short. 1:15:23 Mr. Top, it is a pleasure to meet you. Although we expected someone more bearded. Yeah. Yeah. Well, that's why I got my 1:15:29 roadie here. Um, 1:15:34 I I am on a mission with with my companions here also to see 1:15:41 what kind of spiritual um facts we can find. 1:15:48 Oh, you've come to you've come to a terrible place. I I I'm sorry to to inform you. Um he and uh and and and you 1:15:57 and you sir. He looks at Jim's character. Brother Tenzen. 1:16:02 Brother Tenzen. It is good to see another uh are you are you of a religious bent as well? Do you do you 1:16:08 follow the do you have the um do you have the uh um do you have the morning 1:16:14 lord in the in the places from which you from which you come? Uh not that I know of. I only serve one 1:16:24 that inventory. I got to find ah Nulgrth. 1:16:31 Nulgrith. This is a this is a god or goddess that I have never heard of. But 1:16:36 it is it is always it is always pleasant to meet a a fellow man of the gods. And 1:16:42 you, sir? Yes, I am a cloistered cleric of the god X. By the 1:16:50 way, uh who's the who's who's the morning lord here? What's the name? Uh so, uh they as you went through the 1:16:57 uh the documents, there was no there was never any name specific name uh printed, 1:17:03 but like there was a lot of illusions. Flower of the dawn, uh uh the lady of 1:17:09 the sun, that kind of thing. Can I do a religion check to figure out who they're talking about? Yeah, you could try. Absolutely. 1:17:19 Okay, I'm trying to roll. Here we go. Religion. An eight. You're not sure. I 1:17:26 mean, it's critical fail. Yeah, it's really uh it's Well, it might be a critical fail. No, I don't think I 1:17:32 don't think an eight. Oh, it is a natural one. So, um natural one or plus minus 10 or is it 1:17:38 just minus 10? It's minus 10. Uh ones ones aren't automatic failures anymore. 1:17:43 No, ones aren't automatic failures. However, critical fails can have bad consequences. Yeah. You don't you can't 1:17:48 It's not to your ears, it's not memorable. You're not sure. It doesn't seem to at least you can recall that it 1:17:55 matches up to any uh any prime material deity. We're using the PF. We're using a PF2 1:18:01 guys, not not um not Greyhawk or not um 1:18:06 correct God realms. Okay. Correct. Uh however I I worship uh uh Fasma. 1:18:14 Fasma. Um and he's like this is a this is a goddess uh or god or goddess that 1:18:19 is also unknown to us. Uh I have never heard heard that stated but again welcome as a as a man of faith. You are 1:18:26 welcome. She embraces birth, death, fate, prophecy and rebirth. 1:18:32 Ah the lady of grace. Rebirth is kind of like the morning right? You know you're re reborn in the 1:18:37 day. the sun comes up. It could be that your that uh is is your god or goddess uh has some uh shares 1:18:45 certain uh certain uh theological elements with uh with the with the morning lord. That's um 1:18:51 more uh and Zenarius you uh you did a religion skill as well. What were you 1:18:56 trying to ascertain? See if I under you know have have come across a morning lord type deity. 1:19:04 All right. So, uh, you've never heard in your experience, well, your experience is largely confined to orcish, uh, gods, 1:19:11 but you do know quite a bit about other stuff as well. You have never heard any of the gods, uh, in Galarian referred to 1:19:17 as the morning lord. However, uh, some of the papers that you guys kind of flipped through when you were in the 1:19:22 other room that talks about the flower of the dawn and the lady of the dawn and that kind of stuff, some of that 1:19:28 language is somewhat synonymous from what you've heard spoken about Sarin Ray. In fact, one of Sarin Ray's 1:19:34 monikers is the dawnflower. So, it might be Sarin Ray. She also is a 1:19:41 goddess of light. Right. Right. What What's the name? 1:19:47 Sarin Ray. All right. How do we spell? S A R A N R A E I think. 1:19:55 The dawnflower. The the pansy. The pansy god. Yes. Sarinite. Uh 1:20:03 there is known to her faithful as the dawnflower, the healing flame, and the ever light. Sarin Ray is a goddess who 1:20:08 teaches temperance and patience in all things. Compassion and peace are their virtues, and the enemies of the faith 1:20:14 and if enemies of the faith can be redeemed, they should be. 1:20:21 Interesting. So yeah, so you suspect uh Xanderius that this may be that they may be 1:20:27 worshiping some version of Sarinry, right? Okay. 1:20:34 Uh so um we call him the pansy god because that's 1:20:39 a flower. The pansy god. Put your tulips on this. Uh all right. 1:20:46 So once introductions out of the way, the reverend is like how did you come to this place? 1:20:55 explained to him that we had traveled with uh with the wizard. Um he he he 1:21:02 somehow teleported us to this this area and we were set on by wolves and 1:21:09 werewolves. Yes. Okay. And um fortunately he was also going to return 1:21:16 us home. Yeah. and Sean Connory came out of nowhere and saved us. 1:21:23 So, I mean, do you guys describe essentially, you know, the leadup and what what occurred to you guys? 1:21:29 And and Oh, yeah. Well, we we we'll we'll recount the tale and and plead our 1:21:35 ignorance of the situation. Gotcha. Okay. Uh so, basically, is also 1:21:40 there and he's like, "Look, this is how I found these guys." um you know and they're like uh these are you know that 1:21:45 indeed you were you were attacked by the servants of the count and uh uh it's is 1:21:51 incredibly fortunate that you survived uh uh unscathed and and and without 1:21:56 without contracting the the terrible the terrible sickness that befell those poor unfortunate creatures. 1:22:03 Wow. Do they have a way to send us back to our world? Alas, we have no idea where your world 1:22:08 is. uh the people that the people that came before uh were came to Aki uh this is why uh 1:22:17 you know it's probably you know and they and the word that we were given was that they were warned never to return 1:22:24 uh were you did you did you not heed that warning or was it never 1:22:29 we we were ignorant of that we were we were we were hired on um literally two days 1:22:37 ago to escort for um a possible trade mission. 1:22:44 Trade mission would that be is that is that why uh asan says Argentine was was 1:22:51 brought here uh which you would term uh silver. I do not know if uh he had a um a buyer 1:22:59 for that or not. Those ideas were not shared with us. It was incredibly foolish to bring to 1:23:04 bring that much Argentine here. Aant is rare here. Very rare. And the count has 1:23:10 made it uh made it a point to collect all arg that is found or discovered. 1:23:18 Very few of us would even have uh the slightest amount. You might you might find a a small silver knife somewhere or 1:23:25 a ceremonial uh a ceremonial bull. But if found uh if the counts or the count's 1:23:30 agents find any silver, they confiscate it immediately. To bring so much would have immediately got his attention. 1:23:36 Is that considered bad? Do you have these coins upon you? I'm just asking for a friend. 1:23:44 If so, basically he says if you have a quantity of silver on your person, it 1:23:51 will make you it will make you easier to find, 1:23:56 right? So, if somebody has quantities of silver uh and he'll he'll give you a he'll tell you a story. He says, "Look, 1:24:02 there's there's there are minors to the north of And this is a rumor uh that he heard, but that they one town uh that as 1:24:09 they were mining uh for iron ore and and whatever they could find, they came across a small vein of silver. 1:24:16 Uh they mined it dutifully and thought that they had stumbled upon uh you know some riches uh that they would be able 1:24:23 to transfer into you know into uh you know that they would be able to use this silver to um 1:24:30 uh to you know make themselves wealthy. was only probably all all things considered probably only a a few dozen 1:24:37 pounds of iron ore. Uh perhaps as much as 50 pounds of iron ore that they were 1:24:43 able to extract from the ground. They were visited two nights later by agents of the count who confiscated it all and 1:24:50 took one of the miners back with them to the castle as punishment. 1:24:56 So, is silver considered more valuable monetarily or a a burden to be in 1:25:05 possession? Well, it's well, it's considered incredibly rare and incredibly valuable. 1:25:10 And the count basically has stated on no uncertain terms that any silver found 1:25:16 belongs to him. Uh, and so it's very rare. People do not have or use silver 1:25:22 in any real capacity. And what is the hangup that the count desires silver? 1:25:27 Well, we don't I I don't know. I assume it's um I I assume it's just something 1:25:33 that uh he has decided. The count the count makes many such pronouncements that seeming are seemingly um you know 1:25:40 with uh un you know without reason but we don't question those princ those 1:25:46 those pronouncements. We dare not. 1:25:52 This village, as you can imagine, only has a few people in it. Um, we dare not 1:25:58 lose anymore. Do the werewolves attack the village? 1:26:04 They do not because we obey the count and he keeps his servants uh uh from attacking us. 1:26:11 The werewolves are the servants of the count. Well, are werewolves considered evil here? 1:26:20 Oh, they are indubitably evil. They uh um they in in in wolfish form they uh 1:26:25 they way travelers, attack uh um attack those who use the roads at night um and 1:26:32 uh and and will and will take uh those they find back to their to their layers to devour. In the day, they sometimes 1:26:40 walk among us. Does the party know that um silver can be used as a weapon against werewolves? 1:26:46 Oh yeah, absolutely. You would know that. We do know that. Okay. These guys don't seem to know that. 1:26:52 Okay. All they all they know is that the count has basically forbade the private ownership of silver and any silver found 1:26:59 has to be brought to him immediately uh or else punishments. These guys So the guys the min the story about the miners 1:27:05 is like a cautionary tale, right? So the idea is these miners found a bunch of iron ore as they were digging for other stuff. They thought it out. They 1:27:11 thought, "Hey, we'll we will make ourselves wealthy." Rather than bring it to the count right away, they decided, "Well, we're going to we're going to 1:27:17 smelt it. We're going to make silver out of it, and we will make ourselves wealthy selling this incredibly rare 1:27:23 kind of metal to our friends and neighbors, people, you know, that kind of stuff." But something you'll be able to say, "We 1:27:28 smelt it, we dealt it." Exactly. They He who smelt it dealt. Um 1:27:34 but so but but somehow despite their secrecy, the count found out about it 1:27:41 and sent his sent his sent his agents there to confiscate the silver. And not only that, if they took one of the 1:27:48 miners away with them to the castle, never to be seen again. 1:27:54 So that sometimes happens. Do you know how much silver it would take silver coins would it take to make a weapon out 1:28:02 of it or uh bolts or anything? It's just mass. So, right. So, a silver 1:28:09 Daenerys, you know, weighs what uh would be, you know, so a silver coin like the 1:28:14 one he showed is about the size of a silver dollar. So, um, hold on. Let me let me find out how much does a 1:28:20 Well, cuz I'm thinking with these silver pieces we got off the one guy and whatever we carrying ourselves, 1:28:27 we might want to manufacture some bolts or something else. 1:28:33 We might be able to do daggers at least. Well, I mean, I don't know. And Mr. 1:28:38 Mastersonson would be uh very helpful here. How much metal does it take to 1:28:44 uh It's 16 ounces in a pound. Okay. So, and a 1:28:50 Go ahead. A weapon a sword is about three pounds. Okay. So, Okay. So, a silver uh a silver piece 1:28:58 weighs about 25 gram. So, which is a little less than an ounce. There's 30 32 1:29:04 o 32 grams to an ounce. So, it's I don't know what it is that. So, so 1:29:10 hold on. I didn't know there was going to be math tonight. One second. Uh so, uh to get a three three lb sword, uh 1:29:18 would be what's that? 48 ounces. So, 48 ounces, 1:29:24 uh times 32 uh is 1536 g divided by about 25 would 1:29:32 take about 61 and a half silver pieces. So, I don't know we have that much for a 1:29:38 sword. How much would it how much would a dagger take? Or how about an axe? 1:29:44 Or an axe head or Yeah, crossbow bolts, I think, or like a the head of a crossbow bolt, right? 1:29:50 Would be probably you could make uh you could make a a head with a silver piece, 1:29:56 but you need to melt them down. You would need a you would need a forge. Well, I mean, there's there's got to be 1:30:01 a blacksmith here, right? Right. Yeah, but he may not want to be uh involved in that. 1:30:07 No, I understand that. That's why we ask him very nicely, if you catch my drift, 1:30:12 um to do that for us. Um you know, and Mr. Mastersonson, how 1:30:18 much would a a an axe head be? Uh again, 1:30:25 it's probably in that same range. Two to three pounds. Okay. A dagger would probably be half that. 1:30:32 Okay. Actually, a dagger you'd probably think is about a third of that. Do they give 1:30:38 you a weight range in the weapons? Not in the book, but yeah, not in the 1:30:44 book. Look it up in real world. An axe head weighs typically ranges between 1 to four pounds. So that's 1:30:49 about right. Uh yeah, I would say half a dagger would probably be half a long dagger, be half a sword. 1:30:57 Okay. Well, and we are not discussing this in front of these people. I assume that this was this was 1:31:04 academic. You know, we're all just it's all hypothetical. Um, right. Right. I have eight 1:31:09 with what we found with what we found on the wizard. Um, 1:31:14 25 silver pieces on it. There there's 27 silver alto together between all the people that were there. 1:31:20 Okay. Um, I I personally have 1:31:26 three silver pieces. Um, 1:31:32 again, we might want to make a weapon or two if we can. Right. So right now the running total in 1:31:37 your in your gang is 38 silver pieces. I have four personally. 1:31:44 So 42. So you included Grugg's eight. I did. And uh Velcro. Do you have any 1:31:51 silver on you? I have approximately 1:31:58 He's very peculiar. He doesn't keep anything other money than silver. So, he's got 3,4. 1:32:06 It's all silver. It's all silver. Dragging a giant bag. Clinking bag behind him. 1:32:17 Did we lose you, John? No, I'm doing math. Um, okay. I have approximately 40 silver with me. 1:32:24 Wow. Really? Silver? 40 silver coins. Okay. Uh, so that's 82 * 25 gram a piece 1:32:31 equals a little over 2,000 gram divided by 32 g to the ounce, which means you 1:32:36 guys have about 64 a little less than 65 ounces. 64.06 O sword for somebody who uses a sword 1:32:44 theoretically. Yeah. Or we could get a um 1:32:50 Well, I mean, is it enough to make a couple couple of daggers? Is it Is it enough to make four daggers? 1:32:55 Then everybody has something. It would be two daggers probably unless 1:33:00 unless you were making them real small. You could probably make if you made them small it would be three daggers maybe. 1:33:07 But you would have to I would say probably if you made three it would probably be the halves would not it 1:33:13 would not be all silver. So Gotcha. Which I assume you wanted to do anyway. 1:33:19 Well yeah you just the blades. Yeah you want the blades. Yeah. Just the blades. But yeah, you guys have a have uh a total of two 20,50 1:33:28 all all in. You guys have 2,50 grams of silver. Is it possible? And Mr. Masterson, you 1:33:34 might be able to help us. Is it possible to 2 kg to to inlay a weapon with silver? 1:33:41 Sure it is. Or edge it. I wouldn't edge it, but you could inlay 1:33:46 it. Would that be more decorative though? Would that be effective from a fighting 1:33:52 stand standpoint? What does a silvered weapon do? Well, they they I mean they do make 1:33:57 silvered weapons, but it it's very expensive to silver your weapon. I'm pretty sure I I saw where that was 1:34:04 someplace. So, yeah, you have just a teen over two 1:34:10 kilograms of silver between all of you. I I don't think we'd probably have the 1:34:15 collective money to get a weapon. Well, the other side of that coin is 1:34:21 this guy's just told you a story about some people who dug up some some silver ore, right? Uh we're going to smelt it. 1:34:26 And those guys probably were being pretty secret about it, right? They wanted to use it to they were going to smelt it. They were going to use it to 1:34:33 they didn't take a thing. Two days later, they were found. The silver ore was confiscated 1:34:39 and the count took away one of the guys as punishment. Right. Yeah. 1:34:44 Well, it's like we're still not talking that much silver. So, well, 100 pounds of silver ore would 1:34:51 probably render down it wouldn't uh it wouldn't deliver you a 100 pounds of silver or would not give you 50 pounds 1:34:57 of silver. Um, yeah, but we're I mean we're nowhere close to that. We're maybe looking at 1:35:03 three pounds of silver. 2 kilograms would be how many is there? 2.2 pounds per kilogram. So, about four 1:35:10 and a half pounds of silver. But silver's dense, right? It's a metal. 1:35:16 So, I mean, it's not a it's not it's not a huge amount. It's, you know, you're talking about, 1:35:22 right, 60some coins. 1:35:27 So, but anyway, they uh uh they they tell that story and when they get to the part about where they took one of the 1:35:34 miners, um you know, everybody, you know, several people around the table sort of give off a little shudder um you 1:35:41 know, at uh you know, the the idea of disappearing into the count's castle, right? Um, you definitely get the vibe 1:35:47 that people who are taken away do not come back. 1:35:53 Well, they're just having so much fun there. So, so you huge party. 1:35:59 You've referred to the count a number of times. Is he the lord of this land? 1:36:04 He is. He is the lord of all of Bovia. The lord of all and has been for centuries in time since 1:36:11 time and memorial. Just doing an AI look. A lowgrade silver. This is Pathfinder 2E. A 1:36:17 lowgrade silver weapon costs 40 gold pieces plus four gold pieces per bulk. A 1:36:22 standard grade costs 880 gold pieces plus 88 gold pieces per bulk. And a 1:36:28 highgrade silver is 9,000 gold pieces plus 900 gold pieces per bulk. 1:36:34 Gotcha. So So if you were going to take 60 coins and melt them down into a 1:36:40 couple of daggers, you'd have to have access to a blacksmith. You'd have to have some at least some blacksmithing 1:36:46 skill. Uh including how to manufacture, how to how to mold those that that once 1:36:52 you once you that's melting the silver. Then you have to have molds for weapons to make the pour the silver into 1:36:58 and then how to steep them and that kind of stuff. I think unless you unless any of you as a character have fairly 1:37:04 significant blacksmithing skill, the best you can hope for is low. smelt the you just smelt the weapon into bars 1:37:11 and then you then you you beat out the hammer it out. Yeah. I don't think there's any way. 1:37:16 This is to add to weapons the silver. This is what it says. Uh requires 10% of the item's material 1:37:24 cost to be silver. Uh well, this is something to think about because maybe maybe the crossbow bolt is 1:37:31 a good idea. You've got that heavy you've got a couple of heavy crossbows. some, but 1:37:36 it's only the head that has to be silver, right? And that's a that's a fairly 1:37:41 simple manufacturing item as opposed to something else, right? Hopefully, we could recover most 1:37:48 of them even if we had to remake them into new bolts. 1:37:53 And theoretically, uh uh the the shaft would be wood. So, 1:37:59 if you'd hit a vampire, the silver would go through and then the wood would be driving a steak in its heart. 1:38:07 It's quaint that those old legends seem to be so uh that that people take those seriously. Correct. Oh, yes. 1:38:14 No. No. For for the money, the bolts would be the best, but uh you know, do you want to carry a 1:38:21 crossbow and and and do that? Well, I might have to ditch I would have 1:38:27 to probably ditch the glaive and then carry the the crossbow instead, 1:38:32 you know. But again, that's kind of a ranged weapon. Um. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. But 1:38:38 I mean, what I really like is my sword, of course, like up close. But well, we we will ask these people in a 1:38:45 different conversation less about uh the availability of a blacksmith in town uh 1:38:51 that could manufacture uh crossbow bolts. 1:38:57 Uh so yeah. So basically if you ask him there are two blacksmiths in uh in Bovia 1:39:04 village um and certainly they have manufactured arrowheads and crossbow bolts and tools and things of that 1:39:11 nature, long knives and stuff like that but from a weapons standpoint they're not weaponers. Uh these are guys I mean 1:39:18 they're their specialty is going to be like making nails and uh you know metal 1:39:23 metal utensils for cooking and things of that nature. Yeah, I mean certainly they could they 1:39:28 have the skills that they could put together an arrow head. Uh well I mean we have we have the crossbow 1:39:34 bulls cross these are these these are tools that are routinely used for hunting. Yeah. The exact 1:39:39 refit them head and and put on a a silver one. 1:39:44 Yeah. Yeah. You could uh presumably I mean you would have to convince 1:39:50 somebody like this. I mean, if these guys are telling you the story about punishments acrew, they would have to 1:39:55 I don't know that these guys are going to be reluctant to even get near yourself under the rug. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. And the difficulty is too is like 1:40:02 there I mean it could be how did he know about the 1:40:08 silver? How well it could be somebody snitched. I mean that would be the obvious, right? Somebody snitched. But also it's 1:40:15 like we just arrived so it's it's like a well and they knew about they knew about 1:40:20 the crates. Yeah. They knew about the crates. So because they went to the werewolves went 1:40:26 straight for the crates. Well, not straight for the crates. First they killed everybody on the you know in and around the the thing. But then they 1:40:32 did they took those crates and went off and ran off into the woods with them. And this guy is saying those and said 1:40:39 the same thing that those werewolves are servants of the count. Right. Right. Right. Right. 1:40:45 So, if they if they took that those silver crates uh the crates, if if that's what was in there, um you know, I 1:40:53 mean, you guys never saw inside them, but everybody seems to I mean, certainly was like, "Why did you bring silver here?" Um it seems reasonable to think 1:41:01 that that's what they did. Who Who is in charge of the laws of the land here? 1:41:06 Oh, you mean the the count's agent? Uh just the law sheriff in town, 1:41:12 you know, cuz we did witness murders and theft. Well, the count is the counts the counts 1:41:18 men are immune to most law. But you're talking about Volk. Volk is the count's 1:41:23 agent here in Bovia. Okay. Is there any others in town that you do 1:41:30 not trust? So that's an interesting question to 1:41:36 pose to this only bec only I only say that because we don't want to be flapping our mouths if 1:41:42 somebody's going to turn us in. Well, you just met these people, right? 1:41:48 So we couldn't tell anything to any of these people. Yeah. I mean that they've taken us in in 1:41:55 the dark of the night. Yeah. you know, at dawn, we can hear whatever we're we'd be 1:42:02 grateful for whatever advice they have about where should we go because basically our ride home was just 1:42:08 murdered. Yeah. Um Yeah. He and they seem he they seem uh 1:42:14 you know when you guys go through this and they talk about you're like look we're just uh we're just pies. We're we didn't we you know we didn't sell the 1:42:20 stuff. We we were just Yeah. Um, but yeah, I mean this seems to be like some, 1:42:26 you know, you guys have have you guys were part of a poking of the 1:42:31 bear that finally came home to roose because basically what they'll say is that it was common, you know, it wasn't 1:42:37 common knowledge, but for those people in the know, Arian being one of them, Reverend Donovich seems to be at least somewhat clued into this idea. At some 1:42:44 point in the past, Museif's representatives had come here 1:42:49 and were warned away uh they were told, "Don't come back and for God's sake, don't bring any silver." 1:42:56 And then that's exactly what happened. And because it's it sounds like that 1:43:01 they were basically trying to come in in a different place and maybe not be seen cuz remember when you guys arrived the 1:43:07 carriage was at crossways to the road. Right. So, it it was probably when they did a 1:43:12 plane shift, they weren't 100% familiar with the location, but it sounds like uh at least at least 1:43:20 some people knew that travelers from a from a distant place had come and they 1:43:26 had silver with them and they were and they were worn off. It's so strange because you wonder what 1:43:32 was in it for the wizard, right? Like Kee said he gained presumably he was the one that 1:43:38 Well, I mean he pretty much lied to us though. Oh, right. And then he lied to us about it. So he had to know it would go poorly 1:43:45 and it wasn't like the other guy who didn't Well, he couldn't make it on this 1:43:51 trip because he was, you know, he had to rearrange his like he had to go to Apara for some sort of 1:43:57 meeting. Well, well, Tenzen, I don't know about you, but I'm seeing a new h halffork enclave. 1:44:02 [Laughter] bringing bringing the the uh the story 1:44:08 of the orcs to Bovia. Well, so when you guys finish these questions and that kind of stuff and so in Tenzen you're 1:44:14 like, you know, is there anybody here you don't trust and they sort of kind of look awkwardly at each other and they're like with a basically they look at they 1:44:21 don't answer and they're like well we don't know you very well enough. So, at this point, they're starting to wonder 1:44:27 maybe if you guys might not be agents of of the count. Two 7 foot tall guys come 1:44:32 walking in with the Yeah. Tell us all tell us all of the people that you don't trust in town. You know, that kind of uh I don't know how 1:44:39 far that was going to go, but yeah, the end of the flower, but they I mean they Yeah, exactly. But 1:44:45 they but Reverend Consults is old again and you know, she looks at her book and she says, you know, this is this is 1:44:51 factual. This is they're telling they're telling us the truth. Um, and so he sort of lightens up. He says, "Look, the 1:44:56 count has agents everywhere. Um, we know some of them. Obviously, Volk is is the 1:45:02 count's primary agent. He has his hangers on. He has his the people that 1:45:08 um uh that report to him. But the reality is, um, other than the people 1:45:15 sitting at this table, anyone in this town could be could be an agent of the count. And they 1:45:21 don't necessarily have to be. And the reality is they don't necessarily have to be an agent of the count all the time. If they come up with some good 1:45:27 information, they can buy themselves some goodwill from the count's from the 1:45:32 count's servants and maybe they get a small reward or maybe they get a blacksmith out then because that's 1:45:39 kind of asking too much. What's What's the other town that we should be possibly going to? Is there a 1:45:46 bigger town? Are we in Valakia or are we in No, we're in 1:45:51 No, you're you're in Bovia Village. You're maybe here. Let me uh let me switch over to 1:45:57 So, Jim, if we go out and look up the main street, you'll see castle uh at 1:46:03 from DDO. Yeah. All right. So, you guys Oh, here 1:46:09 are here. You are here. Hold on a second. We came in. We came in from this side 1:46:14 here. Yes. So I'll show you just uh here we go. So you guys are here in a village of Bovia. Uh you guys which is different. 1:46:22 So the land is called Bovia but this village is also called Bovia. One suspects that it is like well it's 1:46:29 certainly not the capital but this may be the oldest village here in this in this land. So it it they you know the 1:46:36 names are sort of interchangeable. guys landed here uh in the forest area sort 1:46:41 of out in the out in the back and you know and then came this way through the old what they call the old Spollic road. 1:46:47 Um and so that's where you are now. But the real problem and the reason why these 1:46:53 guys are a little weirded out is the count's castle is here. 1:46:59 Oh. Oh yeah. Told you. So, so across that forest as the as the the you guys are 1:47:06 like five miles from from the count's castle. DDO, if you have the the the the feather 1:47:14 fall skill, you can jump off that castle and glide all the way to Bro. So, uh this map is a little different 1:47:20 from the standard maps, but yeah, you're you're at this point you guys are like about five miles from the castle. Now, 1:47:26 there's a big there's a big forest in between here and there, but one could reasonably assume that the count's 1:47:32 influence waines the farther away you get from his castle. And right now, you are very close to his castle, 1:47:39 right? And so, this is at the So, yeah, they're talking about Yeah. 1:47:44 taking you to Aki, which is a bigger town. And uh I won't say it has much 1:47:50 less like the influence that that the count's influence is is much less there. This is all all of Bovia belongs to him. 1:47:57 But it is it is if not the is one of the largest towns in it's not it's nobody's 1:48:05 idea of a city and and the areas that aren't shown on this map. I mean I'm guessing there's 1:48:10 land mass there. It's just not significant to show. Well, it's uh what we've got is he doesn't need to show it to us. 1:48:17 You guys haven't investigated it yet. So, um, uh, yeah, you don't know what's out there. As you, so as a DM, speaking 1:48:24 as a DM, as you investigate the various areas of this map, these white hex's will disappear. 1:48:29 Gotcha. Okay. And more of the map will be revealed. 1:48:35 Yeah, they're basically saying, no, Jim, we need to go over here. There's some witches with brooms. 1:48:40 So they advise that we go to Valaki because it's a larger town and 1:48:45 presumably further away some sort of university or a center of knowledge. 1:48:51 That's a hell of a travel there. Yeah. Well, in this case, as the crow flies, it's about Hold on. Uh 1:48:58 [Music] 22 miles fly it. No. No. Well, what I think the road is 1:49:04 probably closer to 26 or 27 miles. the the um on foot takes about 11 to 12 1:49:11 hours to get from Bovia to Velaki. Uh Oh, really? I thought it would have been 1:49:16 much farther than that. What's What's the scale of the hex? Each hex, I believe, is 1:49:22 because if you said this is five miles to here. Yeah, that's uh each hex is two miles. 1:49:28 Okay. So to and then so by foot and then would there 1:49:33 be like I'm I think we are very open to any advice that they might have better to 1:49:41 travel by day better to travel by night better you know it's better it's better to travel by day 1:49:46 the count is is by nature nocturnal um as you as you sort of come to this uh 1:49:52 uh they're basically saying look we can keep you safe here we have some measures 1:49:58 to prevent and those he he kind of looks around. He's 1:50:03 like the people here and I trust we trust Arian uh specifically and the people here at this table I trust. There 1:50:10 are no agents of the count here but the longer you stay in in the village of Bovia, the more likely it is that Volc 1:50:22 will catch wind of you and get you out. you were probably already uh and at this point Yarian points out he's like, 1:50:27 "Yeah, they were already seen by several people coming through town. I did my best, but uh I wanted to get them to you 1:50:33 guys as quickly as possible." He's like, "I understand completely." So, your time is limited here uh because the word will 1:50:39 get out that that there are strangers from afar here and it will get to the count, believe you me. So, we're going 1:50:45 to get you out of here. We're going to get you so you can stay here tonight. Uh but later on this afternoon, what we'll 1:50:51 do is um Why wouldn't we leave as soon? I mean, dawn. I mean, it's now we got you got to rest. 1:50:59 Yeah. And we have to get we have to So, we have a carriage that is somewhat protected. 1:51:06 Uh and so we have to get that ready and we'll get it to you. So, we need a couple hours for that. Plus, you guys need some rest. 1:51:12 So, wait. So, the and that'll take you to Aki. They're going to carriage us all the way to Valaki. 1:51:18 Yeah. On a carriage. Now, it's it's a 12 hour 11 to 12 hour walk. It is a more like a six-hour carriage ride. And they 1:51:25 should be able to get you to Aki. Well, theoretically, depending on when 1:51:30 when you leave, it'll be after nightfall, but it should it should the carriage itself should keep you safe. 1:51:36 Well, if we leave early in the morning, 1:51:41 I 6 hours. They want to get us out of here as Yeah. The elders when you say something 1:51:46 like that, the elders are like they look concerned right now by carriage. We can rest in the carriage. 1:51:52 I We don't have the carriage ready yet. Oh. Oh, gotcha. Cuz we don't 1:51:57 you don't have the carriage ready to roll. We don't because the carriage is so we 1:52:03 have taken some steps to protect the occupants the or whatever's inside the carriage from the prying eyes of the 1:52:10 count and his agents. However, we can't just park it out back uh because then that information will get back to the 1:52:16 count and he'll be like, "Why have you gone to such efforts to preclude me from seeing what is in your carriage?" Uh so, 1:52:22 we have to put it together. We keep it in pieces. Okay. It'll take us a couple hours to get the carriage together so that we can get you 1:52:29 in it and get you out to Aki. So, it's we need we need several hours, but we can probably we're hopefully we can get you out of here by like 1:52:36 3ish, which will get which will get you to Aki sometime around 9 or 10, 1:52:42 but that's got to be done. That's what we'll do. Yeah. The um Yeah. So, that's so that's 1:52:48 what in the meantime uh I mean you look at you look at these guys and uh you 1:52:54 know you you can see they look so if you look at the elders, right? So over here, Elder Serilda, Elder Dragamir, they look 1:53:03 they look concerned. Uh they look pretty young, too. Yeah. Well, well, that's another 1:53:09 interesting observation. Uh not many old people here. Well, there Yeah, you don't you don't 1:53:15 you don't Well, there's certainly not very many. I mean, you guys would probably reckon Reverend Donovan to be in his mid-4s. 1:53:22 Everybody else is in their 30s or even younger. So this Count Zarovich is really doing a Logan's run thing. 1:53:30 Well, then again, the people disappear into the castle. So if if somebody 1:53:36 transgresses the count's laws or, you know, and sometimes the counts the count's precepts can be quite arbitrary 1:53:41 or sometimes Volk just decides that somebody needs to go see the count. Got 1:53:47 then somebody goes sees the count and they know they're going for renewal with a chance to resurrect. 1:53:52 They're Yeah. They're they're you know their their gems turned red. Uh but uh but yeah, there's um you know they they 1:53:59 disappear. So they look concerned. You look at the at the uh Malvourne brothers down there, Darius and Honorus. Uh they 1:54:05 look scared. Uh Volmar on the other side, he looks angry and angry at you. 1:54:11 Uh I mean he's definitely giving you devil eyes. This is old person uh brother Gregor mostly looks confused. Uh 1:54:18 but this is old person seems you know fairly sedate. uh she seems unperturbed 1:54:24 and maybe unperturbable um uh with that book in front of her. 1:54:29 So, uh you know, there's that. But in the meantime, they say, "Look, we can keep you safe." And they're like, "Come with us uh and you can get some 1:54:35 rest and we'll have we'll make sure that you have food and and drink." Uh and they bring they take you out of 1:54:41 this room and they you know, you go around and there's a uh they go into a different room, a small room, but it's 1:54:46 got a little table. They move the table out of the way. They pull up the the rug that's on the floor and there's a little 1:54:52 trap door in the floor which they pull, you know, they pull the ring and you guys go down into, 1:54:58 you know, underneath the church until you find yourself in a room that kind of looks like this. 1:55:06 So, it's a small room and your guess is based on the arches and stuff like that that this used to have been maybe a wine 1:55:13 celler or uh or or a place to store food. But you can see that there are um 1:55:20 there are straw mattresses. There is a small table with cups and a bottle on 1:55:25 it. Um but you notice two things that are very weird. One uh at various places 1:55:31 on the wall are these old runes scratched into the into the stones 1:55:36 themselves. The stones of this room look old indeed. The runes look old and 1:55:41 they've been there for a long time. more newer is the there are these metal 1:55:48 plates and they don't initially they look like steel or iron but if you get closer and you get a look at them it 1:55:54 doesn't you don't think that it's iron but there's these plates that have been affixed to the walls at various places 1:56:01 all over to the stone do they look like they have hinges 1:56:06 uh they look more like burial crypts they don't they don't look like they have hinges no okay 1:56:13 burial Oxidized silver. Uh, it doesn't look like silver. 1:56:19 Oxid silver oxidation. You mean like tarnish? Yeah. Black like that. Yeah, maybe. It maybe looks like that, but I 1:56:25 mean the closer you get, you're thinking this a this would be a lot of silver. Uh, because these plates are pretty 1:56:30 thick and they're sort of bolted into the wall and the bolts are made of the same kind of metal. It looks initially 1:56:37 like iron, but you don't a closer inspection. You're not sure that it's iron. It might be an an alloy of iron of 1:56:44 some sort, but it's definitely not, you know, sheet steel. Okay. 1:56:49 And basically, Reverend Reverend Donovic, go ahead. This looks like it's very it's set up as 1:56:55 like a exactly for like us this kind of situation. Does it look like it's Do we 1:57:02 see that it's like gets much use? Does it look like like it's like well they 1:57:07 just have it just in case and and or does it look like oh people are turning 1:57:13 through here all the time because it's the underground? Yeah. Give me a perception check. 1:57:24 Sorry. And everybody can if they want. 1:57:35 Okay. All right. All right. So, uh, uh, Tenzen 1:57:41 and Velcro, you guys are sort of like looking around and finally when you rule down here, you realize how tired you guys actually are. It's been a long day. 1:57:48 You've been attacked by werewolves. You've been on the road. You're in a weird town. Everybody's freaked out. Uh, and it's starting to the Zandarius and 1:57:56 Bildilda. Um, basically you kind of look around and it does, well, one, it 1:58:02 doesn't give the impression that it was here waiting for you. Uh, like you guys are some something special. It does give 1:58:07 the impression that it uh does get used occasionally. Uh, on some of the little 1:58:13 stones next to one of the pallets, there might be, you know, a small personal object that's been left here. uh you 1:58:19 know in in one of the pallets maybe the uh the covers are sort of mused up a little bit like somebody was laying down 1:58:26 on it and then but not to the extent that they got under the covers and mus up the bed they were just laying on top and it's sort of wrinkly. Um it does 1:58:33 look like it gets the occasional use. Do you ask them about it? Do you ask the 1:58:38 reverend about it? Yes. Well, I might ask about the runes. 1:58:44 The runes look very old. Oh, indeed they are. when I I uh I became reverend at this church about 22 1:58:51 years ago. Uh I was yet a young man then. Uh but I have I have served I I I 1:58:58 have served the morning lord since I was since I was just out of childhood. Um, 1:59:03 these runes have been on these stones 1:59:09 since certainly since I've been here and uh even when I was a child and I would 1:59:14 come and I would play here at the church uh with, you know, with the with the 1:59:19 reverends who came before me, these runes were here. So, they've been here in at least at least my living memory. 1:59:26 And uh I never heard anybody say that they were, you know, no one no one in in 1:59:32 in the any none of the reverends that he had talked to, he'll say, had said that they have anything, but they've been 1:59:38 here. To your eyes, they look like they've been scratching into these stones for centuries. 1:59:49 The plates, on the other hand, look more recent. 1:59:56 In fact, if you inspect any of them closely, you can still see uh tool marks 2:00:01 on some of the bolts. Um ask after they leave us be down here. 2:00:07 Yeah, he tells you guys to be safe. Uh relax, have something to eat. Our our fair is modest, but it is nourishing. Uh 2:00:14 and then later, you know, get a few hours of sleep, and then this afternoon, we'll uh we'll get you the hell out of here. Well, I was going to ask any of my 2:00:21 compatriots if they have uh detect magic to see if the runes or the plates or 2:00:26 something. Good call. I don't think I do. Uh I have 2:00:31 no magic. I'm just a simple barbarian. Just a simple barbarian. 2:00:39 Your world frightens and confuses me. That's right. 2:00:44 My go-to reaction is kill it. No. No, that's not 2:00:51 Uh, does anybody have detect magic or anything like that? Velcro does. Velcro does. Yeah, he does. 2:00:58 I got something for you up in here. Nice. I'm going to cast. I can cast guidance on you beforehand if 2:01:06 that helps. I'm going to cast read aura. Read aura. Excellent. All right. So, it 2:01:12 is a one action can trip and then uh it d it goes on for the start of turn. You asked the Oh, that's guidance. 2:01:18 Yep. That's Tom. I'm gonna cast that on him to do his Reedora. I don't know that he'll that that will 2:01:24 help because it it uh may not help. It's a bonus on a die roll. So, I think it is divination spells. So, 2:01:32 clicking but ain't clicking but it ain't going. That be considered a skill check or the 2:01:39 attempt before. How about How about this then, Les? We're supposed to have hero points. 2:01:44 Yes. That you would get. I'll use my hero point to uh to uh further hopefully um enhance his 2:01:54 reading that he may get. So hero points are more like a doover than an augmentation. 2:02:01 I thought they were I thought you were in the book it said doing something to 2:02:06 like you can help distract so that somebody gets a chance to kit better. Um 2:02:16 Yeah, you have opportunities to earn them. Uh, ordering the book at every new game 2:02:23 session, you get one, but you lose whatever you have at Yeah, you lose it once the session. You start out with one. Um, 2:02:29 we can earn them during the game, but once the game session's over that night, you lose them all and then you start 2:02:35 back at one the next game session. But it's like a mulligan. But you but you can you can you can 2:02:41 work. You can you could use it for other stuff. Yeah, I think we could uh I think we can make that. Hold on. I just want 2:02:46 to uh check. Wait, go to my character sheet. I can't I can't cast for some reason. 2:02:53 Uh let me see here. Let me see if I can mouse over something for you. Let me check your check your thing here. Bel 2:02:59 God must have no sway on this plane. I mean, read read or where is your god now? 2:03:07 All right. Where are your spells? Read Ora doesn't it's not like an attack 2:03:13 or a DC, right? Is it? It's just like No, it's a divination. 2:03:18 No, it's basically it's basically detect magic on steroids. You get you get detect if object is magical and determine the school of its magic. 2:03:25 Yeah, I can't get it to cast on my character sheet. Is that a can trip, John? 2:03:32 It is. Yeah. H Why won't it Oh, here we go. All 2:03:38 right. You see on the right it says cast. Yeah. And it's not Yeah, you're right. It's 2:03:44 not. Nothing is happening. For our sheet, you just push on 2:03:50 the thing. Yep. Oh, you know what? It only casts if you 2:03:55 do uh there's only there's some options like divine lance you can cast uh and it 2:04:00 just kind of shows up. Um right. Because it's Yeah, it doesn't have the option. So yeah. Okay. So uh it's not gonna do it. 2:04:07 So yeah, read aura is basically uh you focus on the target, open your mind to perceive the magical auras. When the 2:04:13 casting is complete, you know whether an item is magical. Uh you uh can get a bonus of identify magic blah blah blah. 2:04:20 Uh and you can tell. All right. So um yeah, so you cast read aura and you 2:04:27 detect magic. So um so the first thing that jumps out to you is the iron plates 2:04:32 are magic and it's a strong abjuration magic. Abjuration. But as you also look into uh 2:04:40 look into look at the runes, they also it's a more subtle kind of magic, but they also radiate abjuration magic. 2:04:48 So for those of you who don't know what abjgeration magic is, focuses on protective spells, countering 2:04:55 or interfering with other spells, magical effects, or supernatural abilities, it's protection. 2:05:03 But yeah, the plates radiate pretty strong abduration magic. The runes sort 2:05:09 of radiate. They radiate aburation magic. It doesn't seem initially as strong at first, but their magic 2:05:14 permeates the entirety of the stones. It sort of bleeds throughout all of the 2:05:20 stonework. Does that make sense? Mhm. Okay. 2:05:25 Cool. All right. So, I'm assuming you guys get some rest. Uh, unless you have any more questions for the Reverend. 2:05:31 No. Okay. So, yeah. So, you get the opportunity. The food is good. It's a it's it's about what you might imagine. 2:05:38 The bottle contains not wine, but ale, uh, of a fairly recent vintage, uh, and, 2:05:45 um, you know, there's some coarse bread and a and a wedge of cheese and things like that. The sort of thing that you might expect, uh, from a small village. 2:05:52 Um, you do manage to get a few hours of sleep. Uh and when you're awoken by 2:06:00 brother Gregor who says um it is time to depart um and he brings you uh up 2:06:07 through the church and out into out of the back of the church into the churchyard where you see a very 2:06:13 interesting looking carriage sort of right up against the back of the church doors. 2:06:21 So you can see now this is looks at like it at night. Imagine it's in mid-after afternoon, but 2:06:27 it's a big boxy looking carriage with blacked out windows. Uh, and um, and 2:06:34 again, it has these. Is that a Lyan? Uh, no, it's not Alyan. It's somebody else. Uh, it's uh, it's that Volmir guy 2:06:43 from the from the table. And it has those plates riveted on it. 2:06:48 It has a lot of those and it's made those plates seem to be made out of the same metal that uh were on the that the 2:06:55 plates inside this this the safe room were were were made out of. He does have a sword stuck in the thing. 2:07:00 We could ask is it brother Gregor who's taken us this? No, it's Vir is taking you. Oh, no. No, but I mean that he took said 2:07:07 it's time to go and he's taking us to the the carriage. Oh, yeah. Yeah, it's brother Gregor. 2:07:13 Oh, is this the same material as the plates in the basement? 2:07:18 Uh I I don't know. I assume so. Uh my um my studies uh are not yet complete. Uh 2:07:25 my studies under under the reverend are not yet complete. So uh he hasn't uh but I assume so. It looks like the same. 2:07:31 Yeah, it looks like the same. Okay. Does it have a does it have a sunroof or a moon roof? 2:07:36 Uh no, it does not have a sunroof or a moon roof. In fact, the roof is covered with those plates. Yeah. All right. 2:07:42 That's going to be a tight squeeze for you and me, Tinsen. All right. So, they get you they they 2:07:47 get you packed in. Uh the reverend says uh tells Volir, "Make sure to go as quickly as you dare without attracting 2:07:53 undue attention." Um, everyone give me a quick perception check. Yeah. As you guys are riding in the war 2:08:00 wagon. Yeah. Go, go unseen. Yeah. 2:08:05 Oh, natural 20 for Velcro. All right. You guys are interested. The rest of you guys are sort of interested 2:08:11 in getting piled into this thing. Uh but Velcro as you uh you're last in line to 2:08:16 get into the into the cart and as you do you look over to the to the to the right 2:08:22 uh towards the east and you see two people off in the distance. If you look back at the at the map of Bovia 2:08:30 um the uh you can see the church is here. You're back. Whoops. You are back 2:08:38 here uh in the back of the church. Why is it not doing that? Yeah, you guys I see it. 2:08:45 Yeah, it's showing. Yeah, you're back there. Uh but over as you as you get into So you guys don't see it, but as you get into uh Velcro, 2:08:51 you see a couple of people off over here by these little woods on the other side of the out of other side of the 2:08:57 graveyard fence. Okay. Uh and they're just sort of watching you guys. 2:09:02 Should we go collect those people? I don't know. You want to get out of the 2:09:09 You want to make a big ruckus in the middle of the afternoon or Well, let let brother Greger. 2:09:14 Was it Brother Greor? Uh, Brother Gregor. Yeah. Let him know that there we're being 2:09:19 I've noticed two people being watched. Oh. Uh oh. And he looks over there. He goes, and you see him squint. He's like, 2:09:26 I don't know who that is. Uh, but I'll let I'll let the reverend know. Um, now you must go. uh 2:09:32 uh uh uh go with go uh uh go with the morning Lord's blessing and uh and and be safe and uh he sort of does a sort of 2:09:40 symbol to you guys. Uh and uh the door closes and uh there's a little lantern 2:09:45 in there that you guys get fired up to uh think it's completely blacked out. The windows are blacked out and have 2:09:50 little boards over them so that you can't see out. Uh and immediately you guys take off. 2:09:56 Dang. It's a long ride. Uh you guys are going for seven hours. As you can hear at one 2:10:02 point uh you guys stop and you can hear a guy uh talking with somebody else. Um 2:10:10 you know uh other male voices, one of whom you suspect is Valmir, the driver who is uh you know is is talking about 2:10:18 it uh uh you know talking to somebody and then you could hear what sounds like 2:10:23 like the opening of metal gates of some sort. Um, and then, uh, you begin, you 2:10:29 know, the the wheels begin turning again and you continue moving. You're in there for over 6 hours. Uh, and they've, 2:10:36 you've, um, Brother Gregor left a little satchel of food in there for you so that you have something to eat. Uh, but it is 2:10:43 e is well into nighttime by the time you guys arrive uh, to the town of Aki. 2:10:58 Oh yeah, that's a much bigger town, isn't it? It is a much bigger town. So, uh, so you guys come uh from I don't know. Hold on. 2:11:05 Uh, yeah. Okay. Whoops. Come from this side. 2:11:12 Yes. So, you guys come in here. Let me uh let me show you. You guys come in from the east 2:11:19 uh and make your way through town that way. 2:11:26 You see that? Yep. Yeah. That line. So, you guys come in through here, make your way through town, eventually stopping outside of what 2:11:33 looks to be uh some sort of inn. When you're let out of the uh um when you're 2:11:39 let out of the of the thing, uh when Volmir lets you out, you um you find yourself there's a uh in it looks like 2:11:45 you guys are in the center of town. There's various people going thing and but unlike in Bovia, 2:11:51 these Okay. Uh unlike in Bovia, this um 2:11:57 doesn't look like these people don't pay you as much attention. Uh and Volmer is 2:12:03 like, "This is the place." Um it's called There's a big s big wooden sign on the front that says Blue Water in 2:12:10 Blue Water. Yeah, Jim, that's funny, isn't it? Blue water at all. 2:12:15 Yeah. To the north is Lake Zor. The lake. Yeah, the the lake is to the north. Uh the 2:12:21 streets of the city uh the town seem uh are quite hushed, but there is people wandering around. It's about 900 p.m. or 2:12:27 so. Uh between 9 and 10 p.m. Uh the Blue Water Inn stands like a lonely lantern 2:12:33 in the gloom. Uh you know, it has a timbered frame that sags a little bit, but its windows are glowing with warm 2:12:39 flickering light. There's obviously things going on in there. You can smell wood smoke uh once you exit the uh 2:12:44 thing, you suspect coming from the chimney. Uh it sounds like the smell of roasting meat which sets your stomach so 2:12:51 grumbling. Uh and there are some you can hear voices on the other side of the windows. There are people in there. Uh 2:12:59 for a moment, you know, considering the darkness and what you've been through over the last 24 hours, this in looks 2:13:04 less like a tavern and more like a beacon of life. Uh you know, uh you know, sort of pushing back the 2:13:10 surrounding darkness. And and does um does Valir know? Does he 2:13:16 know? Is there a another temple for the what was it? The lady of the dawn. 2:13:21 Morning Lord. The the morning lord. Uh there is here. There is a there is a temple to the morning lord here. But he's like we're not go. But he's like, 2:13:28 "Yeah, there's a temple here. We're not going there." No, no, no. Well, Mr. master. If this holds true to 2:13:34 DDO, we go down here and go in the basement and there's a guy down there 2:13:39 controlling rats and he's a new new uh vampire spawn. Will you will you guys be uh cheating in 2:13:46 this manner uh throughout the course of the campaign? Video game DDO. 2:13:51 I know what you guys are talking about. Yeah, there's a new newly uh newly made 2:13:58 vampire spawn there. All right. So, the uh Volir says, "Come with me." And he uh he leads you to the 2:14:05 doorway of the Blue Water Inn, which he opens up, and you get your first look inside. Inside the Blue Water Inn, it's 2:14:12 kind of dim, but kind of welcoming. The common room uh which you find yourself in is lit by the orange glow of a big 2:14:18 stone hearth. There's timber beams overhead, and they have wolf pelts and hunting trophies on them. Um the air uh 2:14:26 is thick with the smell of roasting uh chickens, spiced wine, some sort of uh 2:14:32 you know curry and uh you know and it's warm in here. Uh you know there was a chill in the air uh you know the 2:14:38 nighttime chill that you cruise around a forest. Uh but it's warm. It's quite warm in here. You see a few villagers 2:14:43 huddling over their mugs uh at wooden tables. Their conversation sort of quiet 2:14:49 uh and their eyes kind of like look over as you come in. behind the bar there's a broad-shouldered man. He's polishing a 2:14:55 mug. Uh and he looks at you uh in silence uh before sort of nodding at 2:15:01 Valir. Valir turns to you and says, "Wait here." And he goes over there uh 2:15:06 and talks to the tavern keeper. After a few moments, the tavern keeper's eyebrows kind of he kind of looks over you and he raises his eyebrows, you 2:15:12 know, like and uh um and the driver sort of gesture Vir gestures towards you. Uh 2:15:18 continues to explain something. You can't hear what they're saying. They're talking in low tones. Um uh but finally 2:15:25 uh you know Volmir says and uh the guy the bartender nods and Valir uh uh turns 2:15:32 around uh and passes you and heads out the door and you could hear and you 2:15:37 could hear a whispered good riddance as he walks out the door, closes it and you 2:15:43 could hear outside the sound of the uh of the carriage being fired up and turning and turning away and moving 2:15:49 away. Wow. In the meantime, we get to look at another weird AI animation that I have 2:15:56 made. But they hunt wolves, which seems bad 2:16:02 except for the werewolf thing. So, watch this. Is this is my favorite part coming up. See, watch him. He walks. He just walks right through 2:16:09 it. So, is he a ghost? No. No. That's a glitch of the AI. He doesn't really walk through there. So, 2:16:15 there's leading up to a little doggy door. Yeah, it's like a little doggy door. I don't know what's he he can go with caporeal. 2:16:22 This stuff is, you know, I got to be honest with you, making these these AI images great because I can tell it. 2:16:28 Look, this is exactly what I want. And it comes pretty close, but like the three armed guy at the thing, this guy walking through the bar and the the 2:16:34 stairs to the dog. It's still good though. It's still pretty good. I really like it. But uh it really sort of adds 2:16:40 something. It's still really good. But that's what he looks like. And he says, "Well, evening and welcome. Uh, 2:16:47 you'll find no comfort in the mists outside, but you may find some here. Um, 2:16:53 he says, "My name's Irwin." Uh, Irwin one moment. I had his last name here. 2:17:00 Irwin, one moment. That's one moment. That's good. Mr. One Moment. 2:17:06 Win Martikov. Uh, and this is my uh this is my place. I I run with I run it with 2:17:11 my wife, Donica, and he points over to a woman over there, and she's kind of looking. She's over she's over sort of 2:17:16 by the kitchen uh kind of dealing with a couple there's a couple little boys that she's working with there and some of and what looks like another employee she's 2:17:22 talking to and she's kind of looking at she's got a narrow eyes at you. Uh but he uh he comes over and basically says 2:17:28 my name is my my name is uh uh uh Irwin uh and uh you are welcome here at the 2:17:35 Blue Water Inn. Um he uh is a little bit 2:17:40 of his voice is a little grally. Um but not unkind. Uh he's like, "I'm uh 2:17:47 I'm guessing that you'll uh you'll want something to eat and perhaps a glass of ale or or some wine or uh or uh or 2:17:54 something stronger. I have I do have some vodka uh and uh a little vis 2:18:02 and he uh looks at you uh uh uh Grungilda and says Grildilda and says uh 2:18:10 you are a dwarf, aren't you? Yes, I am. Could you tell by my very 2:18:15 fine beard? I have I have heard of I I have heard of your people. Uh uh there are tales of 2:18:22 the north of of uh of dwarves live there. I've never seen one personally though. You are most welcome. You and 2:18:27 your friends all. Thank you. It's good to know that my people survive and thrive in the north. 2:18:35 Well, I can't I can't lay any claim to knowing of how how they fare, but I have heard tell that that uh uh people of 2:18:42 your kind live in the north. Anyway, you are welcome here. Uh please 2:18:47 take a seat and uh uh uh I will arrange for drinks. Uh what about all of these wolf pelts? 2:18:54 Someone is a fierce hunter in this establishment. As you probably noticed on your way in, 2:18:59 the uh uh these this this the city of Aki is uh is uh uh surrounded by uh w by 2:19:06 by dark woods. And those woods are uh are populated with a great many wolves. 2:19:12 Several of us take to hunting it when we can and if we get a chance to take a wolf uh take a wolf, we do so. 2:19:21 It is very difficult to keep livestock with so many wolves in the in the in the forest. So if we if uh if we spot them, 2:19:29 we try to get them if we can. Do do you have a weaponsmith in town that uh uh makes hunting hunting 2:19:38 accutrants for you? Of course, there are several. Okay. Great. Do any of them make specialized 2:19:45 specialized weapons for for such as the wolves for hunting wolves? 2:19:50 uh if you mean uh special arrow heads or bolts for instance. 2:19:56 He looks at you curiously. He says we uh we use uh you know uh we we use what we 2:20:01 have uh our arrow heads are finely made and as our crossbow bolts are uh are as 2:20:07 well good uh good strong steel and iron. 2:20:13 It is good and strong. He's like, "If you wish to if you wish to speak to the blacksmith, well, I'm certain that he is he has gone to gone to his rest tonight, 2:20:20 but perhaps in the morning, will you be staying?" Okay. Do you have rooms to let if you're in the in? Yeah, 2:20:27 I do. As you can see in the back, there's a little stairway that goes tiny room. I'll never fit in that. 2:20:33 That's That's great for the dwarf, but do you It'll be perfect for you, madam. 2:20:40 Yes. No, he says uh we do we do have rooms uh uh for travelers. Um as uh as 2:20:46 in fact I do have uh several openings. So if you wish to stay uh if you wish to stay here this this evening uh I can 2:20:52 certainly accommodate you. Now and he sort of gets a a curious look on his face. He's like I must ask though uh um 2:21:00 you do have coin to pay for your meals and the and you at this point you you look over and you see his wife kind of 2:21:05 like Mhm. Don't you have coin to pay for your meals? She looks as a look on her face. 2:21:12 She's worried worried about the books I have. Value value papers. Well, she's so she's basically b 2:21:18 wondering if you guys are just some random ass vagabons that have shown up at her doorstep, right? What is what is the uh cost? 2:21:25 Well, it depends on what you get, but uh if if you you know, our ale is good. Rooms and a meal. 2:21:31 Rooms. Our rooms here are two coppers for the evening. uh or uh sorry, five coppers 2:21:37 for the evening. Uh a mug of our finest ale goes for a copper and I can provide you dinner for two coppers. 2:21:43 I have those 45 copper that we got from use that up. So I'll just 2:21:48 Now wait a second. However, that's that's Absilon money. You're going to try you going to say you ask him do you 2:21:55 guys take this? So we should say perhaps perhaps um what's his name? 2:22:00 Well, I mean we don't have any other kind of Irwin. We don't have any other kind of Irwin is his name. But who drove us? Valmir. Was 2:22:07 that Valir? Yes, Valir. Perhaps he shared with you our difficulty that we were transported 2:22:13 under false pretenses to this realm and we seek a way home. We have money from 2:22:20 our realm. Um perhaps how does that translate? Right? Perhaps that will work. Or perhaps 2:22:27 there's some task that we could do uh money exchange 2:22:32 pay for. So uh he's like if you don't if you 2:22:38 don't mind and I assure you I am no thief if you would show me that money that you that you have brought from your homeland uh I will be glad to examine it 2:22:46 and and see if it will if if it will suffice. You want to show him the the copper? Show him the copper. Yeah. 2:22:52 Okay. He looks at him and he's like, "Oh, this these coins are very much like the coins we use here. I don't I don't 2:22:58 see any reason why we I would I could find my way not to accept." And you see that his wife is kind of like edged 2:23:03 closer. She's like looking looking at the looking at the coins. Uh he's like, 2:23:08 I that I think this would be perfectly serviceable. Okay. Excellent. 2:23:14 All right. So, he he makes arrangements. He gets you guys. How many rooms would you like? I mean, he doesn't know what you're Do you need all five or 2:23:22 um Well, we might be able to. How about how many how many in a room? Well, he's got rooms that are 2:23:28 individuals. He's got rooms for for that will hold two people. He's also got one large room, a common room that is 2:23:34 completely shared, which has probably 10 beds in it if you guys wanted to stay there. There are currently two people 2:23:40 staying there, though, in the common room. Hunter's traveling to the south. 2:23:46 How about we uh pay for them to have be in a just a regular room and we take 2:23:53 over the big room alongside us. Okay. He's like, I'm sure they would be amendable to that. Um 2:23:58 I don't know. It might be a way to pick up some loose information from those other travelers, though. Well, we still could chat them up once 2:24:05 we made the offer. They might Yeah. at least. I'd just rather not be in the room when we're there. And we 2:24:10 want to we want to keep the room amongst the what would it be? Six people. 2:24:16 Uh, right now it's four. Four. But 2:24:24 eventually it'll be seven. Eventually be seven. Yep. Oh, 2:24:32 so yeah, we'll I don't know, but Irwin's getting awful aggressive. He keeps coming right 2:24:38 He's like, "Don't make me come. I'll come right through this bar at you." Another round. I'll turn this tiny 2:24:44 little staircase right around. Hilda does drinking a lot. 2:24:51 I just thought this looked really cool. So, do they have any like beer pong games? Anything like that? 2:24:56 Nothing. They don't have beer pong here. But uh um but yeah, so he'll make arrangements if 2:25:02 he if he wants. He he will ask the hunters uh he's he refers to them as Merrick and Drazzen uh if uh if they 2:25:09 would be willing to accommodate you uh and and empty the common room. I I don't foresee there would be any problems, 2:25:17 but he's like I don't know. I'll ask if you want me to ask. That would be swell. Okay. Uh and he does. He goes and and uh 2:25:24 and asks and uh they're perfectly willing to accommodate that. So they are you can he's like he comes back down 2:25:30 pretty quickly. He says, "Yeah, uh they're they're moving their stuff out of the common room and repairing into one of the D into one of the deuces. So 2:25:37 uh yeah, if you want you'll have the common room all to yourself." Beautiful. Unless somebody else comes in and I'll 2:25:42 put them uh I tell you what, if you're if you're interested in privacy, I'll make sure that uh uh that they get put 2:25:48 into a single. Um that said, I I don't know that I can charge you the full five per person. So, how about 20 copper for 2:25:54 the room? Sure. Or wait, 2:25:59 and then dinner. 15 copper for the room because there's four of you. I gave you a discount. That wasn't a 2:26:05 discount. Uh, I don't want to do that. He is an inkeeper. 2:26:10 All right. And then, uh, he provides a couple of pictures of ale uh, and food. 2:26:16 So, probably you'll rack up probably another 10 coppers worth of food and drink before uh before you guys decide 2:26:22 to back it in for the evening. Yeah. And we don't need any hand tiles because we can use a wolf pulp. 2:26:28 You can use a wolf pulp. All right. So, soon it it gets close to midnight, you know, everybody's sort of 2:26:34 like, well, when you when you come in, people are like, what? Just walked into the blue water in. But um after after a 2:26:42 while they're they kind of like get used to you guys and um and certainly uh you know um the fact that uh Irwin is is 2:26:50 treating you um you know both courteously uh and sort of like without 2:26:57 a bunch of special you know he's not he's not paying special attention to you guys right he's sort of leaving you alone and that kind of stuff but he's 2:27:02 also treating you courtesy eventually everybody sort of gets it like oh well they're just travelers must be somebody Irwin knows uh you know that kind of 2:27:08 thing and they stop paying attention Yeah, eventually you go a couple orcs and dwarf, but you know, you got a guy with a man bun over there. 2:27:15 So, that's a pretty substantive man bun, 2:27:20 too. Look at that thing. It's all It's almost as big as his head. Uh, it's a separate It might be a separate 2:27:26 growth. It could be. It's got It's got some uh dark lord [ __ ] working in the back, you know, like in the first Harry Potter 2:27:32 movie. It is not a tuma. It's not a tuma. I tell you what, they got a hell of a bottle on that table, too. 2:27:39 Watch watch when he's about to set the mug down, the other mug disappears. Yeah. Does it really? 2:27:45 I didn't notice that. I feel like that it does. Look at that. It just kind of disappeared. The chicken is also a bit of a There's 2:27:51 an some anatomy problem with that chicken. Yeah, that's a that's a that's a that's a bovia chicken they call that. 2:27:57 Yeah, it's like a Chernobyl chicken. It's awesome. 2:28:03 Yeah. I don't know. It's got All right. So you guys uh unless there's 2:28:09 something else you want to do this evening, you pass the night uh without issue and uh you're not disturbed. You 2:28:16 get the room basically room nobody else comes up to the to the common room and frankly you get a a welcome night's 2:28:22 rest. Wonderful. the the next morning. In fact, you sleep you sleep well after 2:28:28 dawn uh and the sun is is out and you can hear sort of the hustle and bustle of the town outside as you as you awake 2:28:36 through the windows of the of the common room. Uh and you can hear people out talking and laughing and you know uh 2:28:41 that kind of stuff and going from place to place. Well, we got to figure out what our what our course of action is here, guys. 2:28:47 Well, as so as you come down, uh Irwin is there. Uh Danica is not there, but Irwin is there. He's changed clothes and 2:28:54 he's like, "Good morning to you. Welcome. Uh uh I trust you spent uh uh I trust you spent a night um a comfortable 2:29:02 night." Very comfortable. Thank you. Uh beds are a little small. 2:29:08 He point beds are a little small. Yeah. Well, you guys are seven feet tall. 2:29:14 Imagine your imagine your orcish feet were dangling off the bend of it. And then but but uh you know is like is like 2:29:22 I could I could fit three more dwarves in this bed. What's going on? Uh so Izzy says he's like uh you've 2:29:28 already uh had a visitor this morning. And he points off into a corner where you see a man uh sitting at a corner. Um 2:29:37 he's dressed in um you know standard villager clothes. Absolutely. The only other thing the only thing that marks uh 2:29:43 him out as being anything. He's just sitting there. Uh is that he's got fairly pale skin. 2:29:48 Um you know, paler than other things. But uh uh he says you've already uh had a had a had somebody's waiting for you. 2:29:54 He's asked after you and uh I think he has something for you. Um do you want me to bring him to your 2:30:00 table? Nobody knows. We're here. Who could it be? I don't know. I didn't ask him. 2:30:07 Yeah. All right. Do you want to go over there or do you want him to Do you want the Why don't you guys have him come here? I'm going to go to the Lou and I'll be 2:30:15 right back. All right. Sounds good. All right. So, uh, basically he just kind of goes he gets you guys seated, uh, takes your 2:30:21 breakfast orders. You can smell eggs frying. You can smell bacon rashers of bacon. And he, uh, he as he goes back 2:30:27 towards the bar and he goes right through the bar again. I don't know what's going on with that. Uh, we'll take four whole fried chickens and 2:30:32 some toast and a and a Coke. Uh, and he he sort of like, you know, waves the guy over. The 2:30:38 guy stands up, you know, the the thing caks and he comes walking over to you. 2:30:43 Uh, and he has a a parchment in his hand 2:30:49 and he basically says, "Uh, my name is Stal and I come from Madame Eva. 2:30:58 Uh, Eva, she has asked me to give this to you." And he hands you this sealed parchment. 2:31:05 Okay. Well, you're killed. We'll take it. All right. Uh and he uh he's like uh you 2:31:11 know, you've been served. No. Um strangers to these parts. We're not 2:31:17 familiar with the lady Eva and her works. Can you tell us anything about 2:31:24 her? He gets kind of like a weird look on his face and he's like, I suspect that you 2:31:29 will meet Madame Eva soon enough. And uh he turns and goes and leaves the door pretty quickly. Ashley more quickly so 2:31:36 that he doesn't get any more questions. Okay. Well, you open it up. 2:31:41 We're gonna open it up, but we're going to wait for for Zezy to come back, right? I assume that Zezy was gonna stab 2:31:47 him in the back if he pulls something. Yeah, I was I was I was watching our six like finally gonna get to try out this 2:31:54 heavy crossbow. Yeah. Um Yeah. So, so maybe I'll inspect from 2:32:02 the outside the twine to make see the twine is just coarse twine that and 2:32:08 the paper is folded up. It doesn't look like it's not new parchment. It looks old like old parchment that had been 2:32:14 scrubbed and rescaped re many times. Uh there is a seal on it in in sort of a a 2:32:21 red wax of some sort. Uh, but you don't recognize the seal. And frankly, it's kind of uh it looks like it was sealed 2:32:27 either hastily or something like that because the symbol uh I mean it's hard to make out what it might be. The twine 2:32:34 is just coarse twine and it's quite thin. You think it's only a single page that has been folded a couple of times, 2:32:39 twined and sealed. Okay. Well, Greg Hilda will open it. Okay. You crack it open and you open it 2:32:47 up and you find that the parchment on the inside has writing onto it. 2:32:54 And it says in earliest convenience, I invite you to visit me at your earliest convenience, Madame Eva. 2:33:03 Well, gentle. And where would that invitation go to? 2:33:08 That is also true. He neglected dimension. Well, flip it over. There may be a map 2:33:15 on the back. If you go if you go No, there's nothing on the back. If you you know uh uh I 2:33:21 mean if you ask um uh Irwin he's basically oh yeah Madame Evas um she 2:33:26 lives she lives on the sort of like the outskirts of town. Uh but everybody uh 2:33:31 agrees that she is a seer of note. Oh all right. Well perhaps she has 2:33:38 exactly who we needs to see who has information on how we might be able to 2:33:43 find our way home. She might uh I don't know. She's not 2:33:49 much of a cgrapher. He seems aggressively not getting it. Um that you guys are like, you know, travelers from 2:33:56 some place that's not easy to get to. Right. Well, I'll I'll take the parchment, roll 2:34:01 it back up, and tuck it away because I might need toilet paper later. Gotcha. Okay. 2:34:07 All right. If we go back to the map of Aki, 2:34:13 Madame Eva's place is here. 2:34:19 Down that way. Okay. Inside the city. Inside the wall. Yeah. So, but not um 2:34:24 but sort of off away from things, you know, kind of like close to the wall. Uh and not, you know, not in in the 2:34:30 clusters, right? Okay. Well, after we break our fast, perhaps 2:34:37 we should walk down there. All right. So, you guys walk down there. You see people and you do get the hairy 2:34:43 eyeball from some people, but nobody says anything to you. At one point, you ask a passer by, "Hey, uh, which way is 2:34:48 m I'm assuming you guys, which way is Madame Eva's?" And they're like, "Oh, yeah. It's just down uh down that way. You want to go that way." And they're 2:34:54 they're courteous. You can also ask, "Where's the house of the morning star?" The the house of the morning lord. 2:35:01 Morning lord. Yes. Uh, the church of the morning lord. That's at the other side of town. Uh, here, let me show you. 2:35:10 So, we'll do that in yellow. So, the house of the morning lord is to the west. 2:35:16 Uh, and it's um it's right there. Can you see it? Yeah. 2:35:21 See a little graveyard next to it. Yep. There's an This seems to be standard with these morning Lord kind of 2:35:27 places. There's a little church and then and a little a little graveyard next to it. Okay. 2:35:33 All right. And the and the and it looks like because we arrived so late and we were in the carriage, we couldn't see 2:35:39 out, but it looks like this city maybe is completely surrounded by wooden palisades and then guard shacks every so 2:35:48 often or are there I'm sorry that question is like a a shack for guards. 2:35:54 Yeah. So, if you look if you look here, you can see that at the western edge there's a gate house and some houses 2:36:00 outside and you can see there's some planting there, but yeah, there are guards that man the gate every uh thing. It's not a shack so much. They usually 2:36:06 just stand there at the gate at the um at the eastern edge as well. You can see 2:36:12 there's another gate right here. And again, some houses outside, but there will be guards there. Yeah. Okay. 2:36:17 They're not really you don't get the impression that this that is embattled uh in any way. It's probably to uh just 2:36:25 you know uh travel tax purpose tax maybe tax purposes that you know the 2:36:31 uh to to check travelers. Um you know you don't get the you don't get the vibe 2:36:37 that these guard places are designed for military defense. The palisade itself is 2:36:43 wooden. Um and but it's not I mean it's not proof against wolves. 2:36:49 Yeah. wolves from getting in and and doing that kind of from animals and getting in that kind of stuff. And there are these little sort of like 2:36:56 you can see sort of like right here there are these little sort of like guard towers uh you know near the uh 2:37:02 near the palisade itself, but they're largely uninhabited. They're they're they're really shelters of convenience. 2:37:09 Okay. Yes, Mr. Mastersonson, if Mat Eva asks us to obtain the icon of Ravenloft, we're in 2:37:17 real trouble. Guys, just gonna keep cheating with this DDo analogy. 2:37:24 I see it now. All right. Uh, that Tom remembers most of that stuff. 2:37:29 He's probably consulting some notes. He's got I am not. I am. We played that thing so 2:37:34 much on DD for 10 years. 2:37:39 All right. So, you kind of come if you make your way down, you know, across the way to that little um to the Hubble. Um, 2:37:46 and you can see as you approach, it's not uh it's kind of a run-down little house. It's not super uh great, but it's 2:37:52 not it's not dirty either. You can see outside there's a little sign on uh sort 2:37:58 of on the side of the house that has the shape of an eye on it. It looks 2:38:03 homemade, like somebody carved an eye, painted it, hung it outside, and looks like they haven't painted again since. Looks like it's been hanging there for a 2:38:09 while. The chains holding it there are a little corroded. Uh that kind of stuff. But this is obviously Madame Eva's. 2:38:16 No. Right. You enter and the entire place looks like it's just one room. 2:38:22 And there before you, sitting at a large table with decks of cards in front of 2:38:28 her, must be the one and only Madame Eva. 2:38:34 She looks like this. 2:38:40 She looks probably in her late 70s, early 80s. She's got babushka kind of 2:38:46 stuff on it and she has these cards spread out all over it and she's like, "Travelers, welcome. I knew you would 2:38:53 come to I'm glad you accepted my invitation." It was very, "Please sit. 2:38:59 Please sit and allow me to show you the cards that beckon your future." Oh. 2:39:08 Okay, we'll sit down. Look around for a suitable chair. Uh there's like little weird poofy 2:39:13 chairs and couches and stuff like that. There's one big one right in front and then that kind of stuff. And she begins shuffling the deck of cards and uh you 2:39:21 know, she says, "Your future here in Bovia will be told by these cards. I 2:39:27 know that you have come from far away, but I think your fate is intertwined 2:39:33 with the fate of this land. and we shall see what it says. She begins shuffling 2:39:39 the cards, continues to shuffle them. So, at this point, what we're going to 2:39:45 do is so a couple of things I'm just to step out of the narrative for a second. So, a couple of things are going to 2:39:51 happen. Basically, for those of you Oh, no. 2:39:56 who know a little bit about Chris Strad, this is what they call the tooka. Uh, and this means she's going to she's 2:40:04 going to basically cast your cards that are going to tell you a variety of things. Um, so as you are here, uh, 2:40:12 there she's going to deck. She's, and this applies to all of you as a party, she's going to turn five cards. 2:40:20 One, the first card refers to the tome of Strad, which is the book that talks 2:40:26 about the count, his history, and how to defeat him. Oh, the second card tells you about the holy 2:40:32 symbol of Raven kind which Tom has already mentioned. 2:40:39 The third refers to the sun sword, which is a weapon uh perhaps the only weapon 2:40:46 that can hurt the count. The fourth refers to Strad's enemy, a 2:40:52 person who you can find that may be able to aid you in your efforts. 2:40:58 when the last card refers to Strod himself and where you may find him when 2:41:04 the final battle is to take place. Okay, are you ready to roll them? 2:41:10 Yes. All right, hold on. I got to stop sharing. Goodbye, Madam Eva. Oh, stop sharing. 2:41:15 And we're going to go and thank So, I also have some other interesting things 2:41:22 to do. So once we do the tooka uh and you get information about here 2:41:28 let me share and you get information about the adventure then we're going to have a cool thing that I have added here 2:41:36 as well. So uh I love so just to met a little bit I love the fact that they use the tarot and it's always been sort of 2:41:42 interest me to use cards and games and stuff like that and that kind of stuff. So, what we're going to do is each of 2:41:48 once we've done the tooka reading, Madame Eva is going to pull a tarot card 2:41:53 for each of you and that and you will you will you will take that tarot card with you and it has magical powers which 2:42:00 you can deploy as you see fit based on the kind of card you get at various 2:42:05 places. And so, just to let you know, sometimes you will acquire tarot cards from other people and that kind of stuff. Uh, but these are magic items 2:42:11 that'll be specific to this campaign. Sound cool? 2:42:17 Cool. All right. Can you see the cards? Yes. I I can only see four of the five. There 2:42:23 you go. There we go. Put it down a little bit. There we go. You see all five now? Yeah. Just You're missing half the 2:42:30 bottom card. All right. How about now? Yeah, that's better. All right. Perfect. You guys can see it. 2:42:36 Okay. Yeah. Well, I'm going to hold the phone up so that the tele uh the computer up because 2:42:41 And I'll send you I'll send you this information. I'll post it online as well. Oh, okay. Okay. So the first card, this 2:42:47 card tells of the history. Knowledge of what has gone before of the ancient uh 2:42:53 uh of the ancients will help you to better understand your enemy. 2:42:59 It is the five. Hold on a second. 2:43:05 And you cannot put that on the big screen, Les. You can't put that on roll 20. 2:43:11 Why is it doing this? Is that Don't look at that card. Sorry. 2:43:18 That's all right. It was so teeny on my screen I couldn't see. I know. That's why I'm holding the laptop up next to my face so that I can 2:43:25 That's why I keep this next to mine. There you go. There you go. That's the way. 2:43:33 Why? Oh, okay. I clicked the wrong one first. Hold on. I did it in the wrong order. Uh I think it's this one. Is it 2:43:40 this one? Ah, yes. Okay. Okay. Okay. So, I clicked 2:43:45 I clicked the wrong one first. All right. So, let's let's let's start again, shall we? Uh, can you see the three? You should be 2:43:51 able to see the three cards large enough to to come. All right. This card tells of Whoops. Why are you 2:43:58 doing that? Uh, this card tells of history. Um, the knowledge of the 2:44:03 ancient will help you to better understand your enemy. It is the Merdan, the five of swords. So, Madame Eva says 2:44:11 to you, "Look for a den of wolves in the hills overlooking a mountain lake. The 2:44:17 treasure that you seek belongs to Mother Knight. 2:44:25 10 of wolves over a lake. Okay. 2:44:31 Mother night. Well, we definitely there's lots of wolves here. So, and lots of lakes. 2:44:36 Well, the lake is Yeah. like Zarovich and some other little ones. So that was the card associated with the 2:44:42 tome of Strod. The next is the holy symbol of Raven kind. And hopefully this 2:44:48 will work. Ah, it did. Excellent. The Abjurer, the four of stars. This card 2:44:54 tells of a powerful force for good and protection. A holy symbol of great hope. 2:44:59 The four of stars. The objurer. This means I see a fallen house guarded by a 2:45:05 great stone dragon. Look at its highest peak. 2:45:13 Guarded by a stone dragon. Look at its highest peak. 2:45:18 The next card refers to the sun sword. This card is the card of power and strength. It tells of a weapon of 2:45:25 vengeance, a sword of sunlight. 2:45:31 Ah, the wizard. The master of stars. Look for a wizard's tower on a lake. Let 2:45:36 the wizard's name and servant guide you to that which you seek. 2:45:45 The next Strad's enemy. This card sheds light on one who will help you greatly 2:45:51 in the battle against darkness to come. 2:45:57 Ah, the innocent. Evil's bride is the one you seek. 2:46:06 evil's bride. And finally, the card of Strod himself. 2:46:14 Your enemy is a creature of darkness whose powers are beyond mortality. 2:46:20 To return to where you come from, you will have to defeat him. This card will 2:46:25 lead you to him. Dark Lord. Dark Lord. 2:46:32 He lurks in the depths of darkness, in the one place to which he must return. 2:46:44 Thus endeth the Teroka. I'll post all this stuff online so you don't have to necessarily have every word written 2:46:49 down. I just wrote down the five cards and what the um the card you pulled. So if 2:46:55 we need it for reference for that. Okay. Okay. So those so those are the tooka 2:47:01 cards and uh she smiles and now she says each of you individually now come before 2:47:07 me and receive the blessings of the tarot. Ladies first. 2:47:14 Thank you. All right. What do I do? All right. So in this case basically uh 2:47:21 you uh receive a random tarot card. I will tap the generator 2:47:26 and that will be the tarot card. So in this case, this is the tarot card for uh for Grunhilda. 2:47:33 Yes. The two of cups, which represents 2:47:38 partnership, harmony, and the exchange of energy. All right. So there are five different 2:47:45 things that you can do with each tarot card that you acquire. One, you can give yourself a benefit. 2:47:51 Okay. Two, you can reverse it and give an enemy a bane or debuff. 2:47:58 It looks like one of them's cancer. Is that is that particular 2:48:03 astrology cancer? Is that particular to this one card less or is this all Well, no. These are for all individ each 2:48:09 individual cards have five could be used in one of five ways for your as a benefit to you as a character, as a 2:48:16 debuff or bane to an enemy, as an attack, as a defense, or as an area of 2:48:23 effect. So, the two of cups, let me find it in my thing here. Swords, coins, stars. 2:48:33 What? Benefit, bane, attack, or defense. What 2:48:38 was the last one? Uh, area of effect. Oh, attack. 2:48:43 And it's a it's a it's a consumable magic item. 2:48:49 Uh, yes, it's consumable, right? And there will be instances. So, you consume it. So, but there will be 2:48:54 instances where you find other cards. Yeah. Right. 2:48:59 No. Oh, well, I mean, I guess you could. I I don't if you want to. I suppose you could. Uh, all right. Cups are stars. 2:49:06 So, uh, so two of cups is the two of 2:49:12 stars. All right. The two of cups. Uh, so your Hold on. Your PC benefit if at 2:49:18 at the point you use it and you have to declare that you're using it. 2:49:24 Mhm. One second. One second. I got to freeze the top otherwise it won't God damn it. 2:49:31 My Excel spreadsheet is not behaving in the manner of which I am accustomed. 2:49:39 There we go. All right. two uh cups. All right. So, uh the b if 2:49:47 you use it on to benefit yourself, you gain a plus one bonus to your concentration or spell DC for one round. 2:49:54 May not necessarily be worthy for you. Yeah. As a if you use it against an enemy, 2:50:00 your enemy takes a minus one penalty to his attack rolls for one round. If he's 2:50:06 attacking with spells, sorry. Attack rolls with spells for one round. If you use it to attack, you can do a 2:50:12 spell strike, which means you will do 1d6 energy damage of your choice to your 2:50:17 to your energy. It will uh absolutely hit. Wow. Okay. 2:50:23 If you use it for defense, you gain plus one to a will save to all will saves for a whole turn. 2:50:30 And if you use it as an area of effect for in a 10-ft radius, all of your enemies suffer a minus one penalty to 2:50:37 spell attacks and your allies gain plus one against their saves 2:50:43 or against uh against when they use spell attacks. So, it's a minus one to spell attacks, 2:50:51 correct? um against your enemies and plus one to spell attacks for your uh for your for 2:50:59 your allies. And you could trade these if you want between each other. Okay. Okay. 2:51:05 Okay. Yeah. Who who now is next? Who now is next? Will take the tarot card. 2:51:11 Why don't we have the human do that? The human Velcro from afar. Let him do 2:51:16 it. All right. You ready, Velcro? You're on mute, John. 2:51:25 You're still on mute, John. 2:51:36 You are on mute. Can you hear us? Just nod if you can. We can see you. Oh, sorry about that. 2:51:42 That's all right. For like freaking half hour. Are you Are you ready for your card? 2:51:47 Yes. All right. Here we go. The Queen of Cups. Oh, I'm having another Jameson. 2:51:55 All right, the Queen of Cups. All right, so in this case, you get your PC benefit 2:52:00 is that you get plus two bonus to any knowledge, arcana, or oultism check 2:52:07 when you use your enemy debuff is your target enemy suffers a minus two penalty to spell 2:52:13 attacks or saving throws for one round. If you use it to attack, melee or ranged 2:52:21 strikes deal an additional 1d6 force or energy damage of your choice. 2:52:29 If you use it for defense, you gain a plus one bonus to AC and one uh uh and 2:52:35 and you can uh do over one saving throw and that lasts until your next turn. 2:52:42 Okay. And if you use it as an area of effect, it's a 10-ft radius. Allies gain plus 2:52:47 one to their spell DCs uh on their attack rolls and enemies take a minus one penalty to the same. So again, it 2:52:53 penalties that happens. It's like this may be a cups thing. Less is it if it's 2:52:58 Did I memorize all that or is it somewhere in the I'll send it I'll send it to you. Less if it's a defense defense thing. Is 2:53:05 it a reaction? It could be a reaction. Yeah. Okay. Yeah, these are Yeah, you could. These 2:53:11 are uh Yeah, these are uh non-consequential actions. So, uh, they don't they don't count amongst your 2:53:17 regular actions. You just like pull us pull the card and use it. You just have to declare. 2:53:22 Yeah. So, let me do this real quick before we go to things. So, this took a long time for me to do. So, I hope you 2:53:27 enjoy this. You have to declare it before you roll the save. 2:53:33 Uh, yes, you have to declare it. Well, no, as a reaction, you could declare it at the time of save. Okay. So, like you roll your save and 2:53:40 say, "Oh, well, it'd be like, okay, you're the dragon is breathing on you 2:53:47 and you're like, oh, I'm going to use, you know, you got to make a saving throw against this this fire. I'm going to use 2:53:54 my card." And then and then you roll it plus one or Yeah. What? You know, for defense or 2:54:00 whatever. Correct. Yeah. Okay. Uh 2:54:06 Gwen, real quick. Yes. Check and see if you have access to the two of cups in your handouts. 2:54:14 Oh, you should. I do. I see it. That's wonderful. Thank 2:54:22 you. But wait, it doesn't give the text, does it? No. No, it won't. But I'll set that up so it's there. Okay, that's wonderful. I wrote it in my 2:54:30 notes in the details section, but Perfect. Yeah, I'll I'll put it in I'll put it in the edits on these cards so 2:54:37 that you guys you guys get them. All right, Velcro is is done. Who will draw next? 2:54:42 Tenzen, would you like to go? Sure, I can go. Tenzen will draw. 2:54:48 The king of cups, man. We're all about the cups today. Yeah, you're kidding. All right, so in this case, the king of 2:54:55 cups, you gain uh so to use it for your benefit, you gain a plus two bonus to our arcana, oultism, and spell attack 2:55:02 rolls. Uh, as an enemy bane, the target enemy 2:55:07 suffers a minus two penalty to spell attacks or saves for one round. Minus two on saves. That could be a big deal. 2:55:13 Uh, attack melee ranged attack deals 1d8 additional energy or force damage. 2:55:21 Defense plus two bonus to AC or do over on one saving throw. 2:55:27 And the air of effect is a 15t radius. Allies gain plus one to spell attacks, DCs, or skill checks. And enemies take 2:55:34 one take minus one penalty to same. Oh, interesting. 2:55:44 Let me send that to you. 2:55:49 Oh, I sent you the Knight of Cups. Never mind. That was wrong. I shouldn't have done. Once a king, always a king. But once a 2:55:55 knight's more than enough. 2:56:01 All right. You should have access. There's a lot of cups. Knights of Cups is still showing up, but Kings of Cups 2:56:07 is there. Yeah. All right. Uh, you should have access to the Knight of Cups. Uh, the picture is there, but I don't 2:56:14 see any. You mean the King of Cups? He said he will add the text. Oh, he'll add it. Okay. Oh, I'll add it. Yeah. Uh, and then 2:56:20 finally, uh, Zandarius, are you ready for whatever comes up on cups? For reasons 2:56:26 that I can't explain. I'll be the jester of cups. Ooh, eight of wands. Okay, that's that's 2:56:34 different. So, let's see what that does. Eight of wands. Okay, here we go. Um, PC 2:56:43 benefit plus one bonus to AC or will saves. 2:56:48 Uh, enemy bane or debuff. Target enemy suffers minus one penalty to attack 2:56:53 rolls for one round. Your attack, melee or range attack deals an additional 1d6 psychic damage. 2:57:02 Defense, you gain a plus one bonus to AC or saving throw until your next turn. An 2:57:07 area of effect, a 5ft radius. Your allies gain a plus one bonus to saving throws versus emotion or compulsion 2:57:15 magic. your enemies a minus one penalty to same. A five foot radius would cover maybe two 2:57:22 people. Yeah. Well, and if the orcs were really snuggling, 2:57:28 that would be snuggling for orcs. Oh, all right. There are your tarot. 2:57:35 There you go. But you said we can um mix and match. You could trade them. Yeah. With each other if you want. So, oops, I gave you 2:57:42 the eight of cups. God damn it. I'm such an idiot. Uh, I just assume it'll be cups. Uh, 2:57:48 eight of wands. Eight of wands. Yeah. Here we go. Did you have to make a different 2:57:53 document for each possible? Yes. Oh my goodness. Okay. 2:58:00 Well, no, it wasn't it wasn't too bad. I downloaded the individual images, but I had to upload them individually. 2:58:07 So, but they're all there now, and they will be able to use them. So, you should have access to the eight of wands card now. 2:58:12 Yep. And eight of cups. You can remove that if you want. I think I I thought I did remove the 2:58:17 eight of cups, but it might just not take anything away. But anyway, there you go. So, that is your current card 2:58:23 set. Like I said, you can sh you can share them around at that uh uh you know, that kind of stuff and and do that with it. But now, it is also 11:02 p.m. 2:58:31 And so, we will bring this to a tonight to a close, which is good because I hadn't prepped 2:58:37 anything beyond this.
