FearTheCon 2020 Cancelled, 2021 Dates Set
This was sent out to Kickstarter participants yesterday:
Regarding 2021: The first major update is that the venue is locked in for 2021 and the dates will be June 24-26, 2021. It is the same details venue wise that it would have been for our 2020 dates. I have made sure that next year we will not be opposite Origins. I will look to get the Conplanner setup close to the end of 2020 so there will be plenty of time for posting games. Since we are already funded there will not be a Kickstarter. I will keep everyone up to date if any of the rewards need to change for any logistical reasons. I am not eliminating the possibility of offering something to allow for reaching stretch goals, but nothing like that is currently planned.
Regarding a virtual con in 2020: We are hosting a virtual convention June 19-20 2020 during the times Fear the Con 2020 would have occurred. This convention is being organized through the Fear the Boot Discord Server and is on con-planner for posting and signing up for games. Some of the Fear the Con 2020 backer level GMs are offering to provide their games at this online convention. Backers at those levels will be receiving communication through Kickstarter this week inquiring about your interest in receiving your backer rewards in this manner.
